Welcome to the Medieval Master Lords collection. This collection contains four series starters, the first novels in several of Kathryn Le Veque's most popular series. Enter a world where knightly honor and chivalry is star-crossed with passion, betrayal, mystery, and lust. This collection
The Thunder Lord - The Earl of Coventry is forced to marry a Welsh princess and must choose between his dedication to war or his love for his new wife.
Dragonblade - The illegitimate son of Edward I falls for the daughter of a local lord mayor. When she is abducted, he will stop at nothing to save her.
The Whispering Night - A spy for William Marshal falls for the woman he is supposed to betray.
Spectre of the Sword - A knight escorting Richard the Lionheart's heiress to a secret wedding unexpectedly falls for the woman. Will he choose love over duty?

Juggernaut Indie author Kathryn Le Veque is a 'tour de force' in publishing.
Kathryn is a critically acclaimed 21-time USA TODAY Bestselling author, a charter Amazon All-Star author, an Indie Reader top seller, and a #1 bestselling, award-winning, multi-published author in Medieval Historical Romance with over 100 published novels.
Among her many accomplishments, she is the CEO of Dragonblade Publishing, the #1 Historical Romance e-book publisher on Amazon. In 2020, Kathryn collaborated with Sourcebooks publishing for a Medieval Fight Club series set in Scotland.
This is my first reading of Le Veque. Immediately after reading the first two books in this set, I read the other two books in their series. Then I read the third and fourth books in this set.
Once again my main complaint with a series is that there is no useable table of contents to move to the beginning of each story. Maybe that has something to do with my download. Annoying!
De Shera Brotherhood, The Thunder Lord: this series is as much historical as it is romance. The theme of the three books is love (for their mother, their wives, each other, their children) and loyalty (to country, other Knights, their liege) and the complexity and contractions involved in that love and loyalty. 4/5
Dragonblade explores the same themes as the de Shera Brotherhood but with Knights not bound by blood but by friendship. 4/5
The Whispering Night is poorly edited both grammatically and for consistency (a horse left outside a castle because of a decayed bridge appears inside the keep to be leaned on! Then it is outside again when they leave). It really detracts from the story for me. I expect better from a much published author. An arranged marriage solely for the purpose of spying on a family does not go as planned. Some of the story occurs in Wales. 3/5 because of bad editing
Specter of the Sword is another mission gone wrong also set in Wales. Rhys is to escort Elizabeau to her betrothed, but they fall in love on the way. This is my 8th Le Veque in a short time. I need something much different to read for awhile. 3.5/5
