Amazing! I got this book as a teenager and just never got around to reading it. The story is about a young boy who goes in search of his father, who has travelled up north on a whaling expedition. It's an inspiring tale where the lead character grows and changes with his adventure. The author transports you to the landscapes of Yorkshire and Greenland. I felt both immersed in those environments and like the characters were existing there with me. There's peril and there's warmth as the characters develop new relationships. Potts has some real talent. I can't believe this book had only had 6 ratings!
