Rock Harding is about to become a husband and father. His boss drops a bomb that can detonate his plans. Caught between stone and a solid place, he considers making a decision that will place his relationship with Dinah, the woman of his heart, on the line.

Focused on her faith in God and obedience to His word, Dinah doesn’t understand Rock’s difficulty in making the right choice. Unless he does the right thing, obey God, she knows they won’t have a future. But Rock isn’t at the place where she is in belief, and he doesn’t share the level of trust she has in their Creator’s ability to provide.

The final choice is up to Rock. Will he obey man or surrender to God?


This is a novella about secondary characters from the book, Scandal in the Sanctuary. Nevertheless, this work can be read independently.

Brigette has been an avid reader of romantic fiction since her teens. She began penning her own stories in her stay-at-home-mom years. The blessing of her twenty-three (23) years of romance with her husband and her faith find their way into the lives of her characters and their relationships.
