Kerry McCrae’s wanderlust has taken her to parts of the globe most people have only glimpsed in pictures. So why is tending bar at the family pub in Blueberry Cove after her Uncle Fergus’s stroke an easier adjustment than she expected? And why hasn’t she left once Fergus is back on his feet? When tall, tanned Cooper Jaxton walks through the door, she knows the answer in a heartbeat…

Born and raised deep in Australia’s outback, Cooper never planned to leave the wild country he loves. But after almost a year of having Kerry—with her sparkling eyes and outrageous stories—on his cattle station, Cooper was stunned when she left. Suddenly home wasn’t the same without her. Making his way to Blueberry Cove to find her is a risk, but Cooper is counting on the passionate connection between them to convince her that the only place either of them needs to be is together…

Let the honeymoon begin…

Once again same as the 2nd one in this series, too much descriptive info. It wasn't as enjoyable as the 2nd novel, but ok. The H was too cute for words. The h got on my nerves. I did enjoy hearing about the progress of the past characters from the earlier books.

Lacking in plot, there really isn't a lot I'd recommend about this book. Based on two people whose friendship and interest in each other was previously established, it's really the agonizing stretching out point of whether Kerry wants to marry Cooper, give up her free as a bird single life & move permanently to Northern Australia. For some readers, this probably works - but I think I would have enjoyed a story based on the first part of their getting to know you instead. A lot of overthinking, self analyzing goes on. However, the ending is a surprise and added something extra to what was a lack luster book. The cover? If this is the wedding scene, it doesn't match anything of the description within! 2.5 stars. This is the first book I have read from this author.

I received this ARC from Netgalley & Kensington Publishers in return for my review.

I enjoyed this one very much! Kerry was such a unique character and that fact that Cooper would go through as much as he did to come after her was amazing.

Kerry has always been filled with wanderlust. Never staying in any one place too long. That is until she landed on a cattle ranch in the Australian Outback. She had been there a year until she received the news that her sister was getting married and then her Uncle having a stroke brought her back to Blueberry Cove. Now another year has passed and she's beginning to wonder why her need for travel hasn't hit her like it usually does.

Cooper Jaxton was content with his life in Australia running the family cattle business. That is until Kerry leaves after a year and he can't get over missing her. It may have taken him a year but he's going to get her back. That's why he's standing in her family's pub in Blueberry Cove.

I thought this story was very well done and watching how Kerry and Cooper worked through the obstacles in front of them was quite entertaining. Overall an excellent addition the the Blueberry Cove series and a book I highly recommend.

I loved this book and I didn't want it to end. This is a story that isn't rushed, isn't filled with "secrets" or lies or "betrayals" that seem to be the vogue with too many romance genre writers.

This one is about people connecting and coming together to truly understand each other.

The characters are written so real and authentic I felt I truly knew them. They are multi-dimensional and people I'd call friends.

The plot is also realistic as are the obstacles to the HEA.

Ms Kauffman has outdone herself with this one!

5 - "Feel free to pillage away." Stars!

I seem to be having a brilliant run on books from the Kensington Publishing line recently, I think pretty much every ARC I have read and reviewed for them in the past couple of months has been a four or five star read for me, and Starfish Moon by Donna Kauffman is no exception.

This is not the first book in the authors Brides of Blueberry Cove series, but it is my first read from this author. I didn’t struggle to read Kerry and Cooper’s story, but you do get the feeling that this book is not the first book due to all the characters and couples that crop up in its telling, and upon checking there are a whole plethora of books and series set in this town, which makes me happy because it’s a place I certainly want to visit again.

"We’ve talked about it to death. Maybe it’s time to try action."

I was sold on this book as soon as I learned that Cooper Jax was from Northern Australia. Because as soon as the word ’Drover’ is mentioned, I had this not-so-unpleasant image rolling around my head the whole time I was reading. Although the author does describe him as blond, I am sticking with my imagination on this one!

A year after her leaving Cameroo Downs, he travels to Blueberry Cove, Maine to track down Kerry McCrae, the woman who hasn’t left his head or heart since. I loved their first meeting, clumsy and a bit uncomfortable, Cooper lays all his cards on the table from the get-go, and in front of the customers of the local bar The Rusty Puffin, a place owned by Kerry’s Uncle, and full to capacity at the time of his declaration being made.

"I want both… The friendship and the hunger."

What commences is a somewhat unconventional month, in which time Cooper does his best to convince Kerry that they have a future together, and not just in a quick-fling sort of way. I liked that the author span the 'commitment-phobe' trope on its head here, and made Kerry the reluctant party, being a bit of a nomad it fitted her character well and gave a great depth to the development of their relationship as a whole, especially as her main concern going into their relationship is that her wanderlust would eventually mean her up and leaving him.

She was every bit of everything he remembered about her, all at once and all at the same time…

This was such a great book, with a large cast of characters added to its telling, the author has put together a town, and a large and diverse group of people that Kerry and Cooper’s relationship built around. I loved that everyone could see what Kerry initially couldn’t and their efforts to encourage them both together at any and all opportunity. They are a sexy couple in that both aren’t afraid of going after what they wanted, but I liked the Cooper pulled back before doing the deed so to speak to make sure that Kerry knew he wanted more than just one month of fun with her, he was just an absolute charmer in that respect.

She sank into him as if she’d finally found that part of him that was meant to fit her, and only her. He’d known she’d be that for him, his perfect fit…

As previously mentioned, this isn’t the first book of this series, and this isn’t the only series the author has that is based in and around the residents of Blueberry Cove, as such I am happy because that means I get to go back and read all the previous books released, and I can look forward to more stories in the future. If I could pack up and move today, Blueberry Cove would probably be near the top of the list of places I would like to relocate to!

“Starfish Moon” by Donna Kauffman is part of the ‘The Brides of Blueberry Cove’ series and takes place after many of the McCrae siblings have found their life partners. Kerry McCrae has come home temporarily for first one wedding, and the next, then to care for her beloved uncle Fergus while he recovers from a stroke, while staying even longer for the marriage of her last unwedded sibling. Known for her wanderlust, she has neglected to explain what kept her in Australia, atypically, for so many months. Then Cooper Jax arrives from Down Under, and many questions are answered, but not the one most important to him…and, as it turns out, to her as well.

Who can resist a feisty heroine who can hold her own in a pub or on a boat or working as a jillaroo? I was delighted to get to know the least settled member of the McCrae family and when her former boss shows up with his yummy Aussie accent and down-to-earth manners, who could resist giving a heartfelt sigh?

The rich characterization of all of the players, including the secondary ones who are drawn into the orbit of this charismatic family, makes this a wonderfully entertaining series for me, and I was willingly drawn into the orbit of the two main characters whose pet nicknames for each other gave rise to wonderfully romantic scenes. I was drawn into the conflict between pursuing a comfortable habit and the risk of following one’s heart, and I like that the heroine, though very capable and assertive, has a few flaws, including a regrettable failure to keep in touch with those who are important to her. The wonderful courtship by a man who has been far too patient and the counterpoint of wedding plans for sister Fiona are highlighted by the whimsical interactions that take place and keep the story from getting too sweet and there were plenty of opportunities to chuckle as well as cheer. I thought the ending was just a bit over the top and have to wonder who is minding the fires back home, but I still adored the story. There was no problem reading this as a stand-alone story, but I definitely want to read the others in the series that I have missed. I am hopeful that a certain service animal trainer will have her own time in the spotlight and draw us back to Blueberry Cove once again.

An ARC of this title was provided to me for review which has been submitted to Night Owl Reviews.

The wanderer in Kerry McCrae’s has always lived in her heart since she was a little girl. You see at the age of two, she the youngest, her two sisters and a brother, were all left orphaned when their parents died. So their grandfather was there to raise them. His cousin came from Ireland to help raise them knowing he would need a hand. That was their Uncle Fergus. He was a man of her same heart and spirit, a wanderer.
He was always telling about his great adventures he had been on while he was carefree on his travels. All the fun he had out and about. Some funny, some sad, and some filled with adventure. Kerry always knowing that is what she wanted for they were kindred spirits.
So at eighteen in Fergus’s office she took a dart aimed it at a map on the wall closed her eyes and tossed it. Where it landed is where she started her great adventure. She has been traveling ever since. At twenty-nine, she arrived at the Jax’s Cameroo Down Cattle Station. Only meaning to stay for a season until Jax’s youngest, Sadie thirteen, asked for help with her homework. Then she became a regular around the homestead which was unusual for the Jax’s as well as Kerry.
Kerry’s season work turned into a year and her friendship with eldest son Cooper Jax thirty-one, became one where she started lusting after him. Unknown to him for sure. Then one day she got a note from home saying she was wanted home her brother was getting married. The next thing they knew she was gone.
The thing was Cooper had been gearing up to declare his love. Too little too late as they say. Does that ring a bell? Yet he doesn’t go after her thinking she would come back. After a year his dad buys him a ticket, telling him to go after her. He does show up at the family pub, declares his love, and ask her in front of everyone and she…
Can this be a way of life for Kerry? Or and ending of her spirit? Cooper is a man of honor and family will that pulls. Will that bring him to Kerry or also tear them apart? I give this 5++++ stars. Provided by netgalley.com. Follow us at:

I have just loved The Brides of Blueberry Cove series! Set in an idyllic, coastal town in Maine, the series has boasted a lovely group of characters that I have enjoyed reading about from the first book in The Bachelors of Blueberry Cove book. In this story, we finally get Kerry McCrae's story...the youngest of the McCrae family and the only unmarried member of the family at this point. What we know about Kerry, is that she left home at 18 years to old to travel the world and satisfy her craving to see everything and not be stuck in one place too long. That wanderlust led her to some amazing places, but not also such amazing situations. She came home for the wedding of her brother, and has stayed on in the Cove to see her sisters through their weddings and to help her Uncle Fergus rehab from his stroke. But where was she before coming home...the beautiful, exotic outback of Australia. A place she stayed longer than any other place in her journeys....so why there? Of course, there was a man. And not just a man, he had an amazing family too. The story opens with this very man, Cooper, showing up in Maine, surprising her at the bar she works at and proposing. Wait, what??? They never even shared a kiss prior to this declaration of love. I sense a good story here...and I was right? Following these two as they figure out what they mean to each other was an enjoyable read and a great way to wrap up this series. As with all of Donna Kauffman's stories, the book is full of love, humor, family and small-town connections. If you are looking for a great series to bring you the happiness, then I highly recommend this series and The Bachelors of Blueberry Cove series.

Starfish Moon is the by Donna Kauffman is book three of the Brides of Blueberry Cove but book six of the Blueberry Cove overall series. There is not a bad book in the entire lot, I have enjoyed each and every story. With that said Starfish Moon may be my all-time favorite with Kerry and her Australian cattleman, Cooper. No need to have read the others but each is unique and worth the time to savor and enjoy.

The beginning of the story needs to catch my attention. This one with Cooper’s sudden appearance in Blueberry Cove and along with his unexpected declaration certainly did that. I did not see where this was going after Kerry’s response but kept reading just to see how things could turn around for these two strong stubborn people. From the first, Cooper won my heart so that I wanted to push Kerry in his direction but really enough of her family did that for me. Loved their story from beginning to end.

Donna Kauffman is an author whose books I have enjoyed for many years. She is also one that has perfected her craft of writing original stories that continue to be better than the last. I am not sure how she is able to do that but she does. She does not disappoint by rehashing an old story-line or using crude language or gratuitous sex to sell her books. I can count on her to give an amazing, captivating read about people I would like to know. I appreciate that from this writer.

This novel is all in the details. There are lots about the scenery and the surroundings. Kauffman includes a great deal of narrative that focuses on background info, where the main characters were and what they did before now. This gave the novel a unique feel throughout.

This is one of those novels that I had to become really invested in the characters to enjoy. Don’t get me wrong, the tale is well written and engaging. The plot was just atypical for Kauffman’s work. Once I was immersed in this world and the characters it was a great read. And that was no hardship at all since Kauffman has filled this novel with characters that captured my heart from the moment that I met them.

I love how the characters can laugh at themselves (and at each other). Romance between these two is always fun, if not always easy. And I’ll admit, I’ll never look at a pirate the same way again. The relationship between the main characters is also solid. There’s a lot of talking and figuring things out. It was nice to see where it all came from.

This was a Blueberry Cove novel that definitely stood out for me. The characters were fantastic and the plot very heartfelt. It’s a great read as part of the series or on its own.

As with the other books in the Blueberry Cove series, Donna has written a wonderful story filled with humor and love. What makes this book even more special to me is that the hero, Cooper, is from Down Under. Australia is one of my most favorite countries so the hero being Australian and having the book set partially in Australia was definitely a bonus.

I love the way Donna wrote their first meet-up when Cooper came to Blueberry Cove to look for Kerry. It was really interesting, albeit an awkward situation for Kerry. Cooper is definitely one of the guys you'll root for so it's no wonder that Kerry's sisters and friends were rooting for him. As always, I love the small town feel where friends and family poke their noses into your business but are always supportive for you. It can be read as a standalone but I think it would be great to read the rest of the books in the series to get the whole picture.

** I received an eBook copy from the author for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.

I received this book in a goodreads giveaway. I really wanted to like it and be lost in the world of Blueberry Cove but it just did not click for me. I adore Donna Kauffman as an author but the characters in this novel appeared a little superficial. I loved Cooper Jax in the beginning and kept wishing that his character would become more dimensional but that never happened. Kerry was a similar story. I wanted to understand her and the reasons behind her actions but nothing she gave as an explanation felt genuine. I would have enjoyed the book if how and why they fell for one another was explored rather than Kerry's unexplained hesitancy with everything surrounding this handsome Aussie. Basically I just need more from my romance novels.

I have fallen in love with Blueberry Cove. I wish that I could stay at the fabulous bed and breakfast, grab a drink at Fergus' bar and dine on some of Delias delectables. I am sooooo sad that this is the last in the series. I savored every page and thoroughly enjoyed the banter, Donna perfectly what it is to be in a smart, connected, sassy family where everyone has an opinion and every opinion is respected. It is lovely to be part of that close knit family for a few days. I enjoyed the incorporation of and Australian and the very realistic and vivid description of the station. As I lived in the outback for years it was comfortingly familiar. On top of all that wonderful was an extraordinarily sweet and tender love story. I am a total sucker for the very realistic feelings and challenges that the characters face and overcome to find the very tissue worthy happy ending.

I have to say that I am in love with Donna Kauffman. I've read so many of her series and I have never ever been disappointed. If you like cozy contemporary romance, you will love these books.

Starfish Moon is the 3rd book in the Brides of Blueberry Cove series and the 6th book to take place in Blueberry Cove. This town is full of people that you'd love to know. One of the things I love about these books is they capture the small town feel, you don't get the sense that the the supporting cast is a bunch of card board cutouts, they all seem very, very real.

Kerry and Cooper are delightful, they have real chemistry and you want to see them together right from the start. I had a hard time putting this book down to do things like make dinner or go to bed. Seriously, read this book. It's so much fun!

I really couldn't finish this one. I was so excited to read it after the last book I read in The Brides of Blueberry Cove. Especially with the blurb that left me on a cliffhanger at the end of book #2, however this book lacks that spark that the blurb had me really anticipating. Cooper comes to town, Kerry is all 'back off', and then suddenly they're falling into bed together and she's mooning over him. What?! And the pirate queen and Hook bit was a bit hokey. I am so bummed but I really couldn't make myself read more than the 65% I'd had already read. I tried, I really did. But after several weeks of solid tries to get back into the storyline - and the town that I'd really fallen in love with - I couldn't do it anymore.

I absolutely loved, loved, loved this story. The dialogue and interaction between Kerry and Cooper were so much fun to read. They were an adorable couple. They were playful and still so passionate. The sexual tension between them was so thick that once they got together it was explosive! There were also some very sweet moments in the story that just made me sigh and wish Cooper was real so I can claim him as my own. Such a wonderful story that it put a smile on my face long after I finished reading it. And the epilogue! Dare I hope for another story or spin off series for Sadie (one of the secondary characters) when she's all grown up? That would be amazing!

I have been impatiently waiting for Kerry's story and I was not disappointed! Kerry is the youngest of the four McCrae siblings and the wanderer. She met Cooper while she was in Australia and now he's in Blueberry Cove to tell Kerry that he loves her. Cooper and Kerry have great chemistry together and you will be rooting for them from the very beginning! Donna Kauffman does a great job with blending humor, love and family into one story. You don't want to miss this one!

Kerry and Cooper's story was SOOO Good - funny, sexy, heartwarming perfection. Character development was amazing - each one so unique!
Great ending. So Sad to see the series come to an end - was a Favorite for me. Highly recommend it!!!

Too slow moving

I've enjoyed several of Donna Kaufman's other books, including the first two books in this series. This book however, was so slow-moving and repetitive that I couldn't finish it. I hate starting a book and not finishing it so I picked this up and put it down five or six times before deciding to stop for good. I just couldn't make any kind connection with the characters and finally, I just didn't really care what happened.

Starfish Moon is the final book in The Brides of Blueberry Cove series. This story takes place after the wedding of the oldest sister and just before the middle sister's nuptials. Kerry McCrae came home from Australia for Hannah's wedding and while she was home, her beloved Uncle Fergus suffered a stroke. She remained home to take care of him and run his pub. Now, she is still there for Fiona's wedding. Known for her wanderlust, she has only shared her adventures in Australia, her reason for staying so long and finally her reason for fleeing, with her Uncle Fergus. When Cooper Jax arrives from Down Under, and proposes to Kerry, in the pub, in front of the whole town, Kerry immediately tells him to go home. Well, he is not deterred that easily.

Kerry is a feisty heroine who can hold her own in a pub or on a boat or working as a jillaroo on a huge ranch. This novel was character driven. The family did not play much of a role in this story, it was carried by Kerry and Jax. I will say that their banter and joking, a trademark in this series, was cute. Will Kerry realize that it is time to give up the travel and settle down with a man she loves? Will Jax be able to convince her that they can make a life together? I will say that this was the least enjoyable of the three books in the series. Because these two characters both realized that they loved the other, it was just a matter of convincing Kerry this was the right way to go. Of course they both had fun while Jax was doing the convincing. Jax was a man who has been far too patient, but was going to do his best to ingratiate himself into the town and Kerry's family. He was giving it one month to see if he could convince Kerry to accept his proposal.

There is no problem reading this as a stand-alone story, but I did read them all, although out of order. I want to go back and read the Bachelors of Blueberry Cove as well to get the full story of this town and their residents. A nice summer or beach read. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book via Netgalley.

This book is set in the beautiful breathtaking stunning locale of Blueberry Cove, Maine with the ocean, sea gulls and sail boats right there at your fingertip.
Kerry, after working for 1 year on a cattle station in Australia has returned home to Maine for her sister's wedding, a changed woman. She cannot ignore her feelings and stop thinking about her employer on the cattle station, cooper. After 1 year in maine, cooper shows up one day determined to make her his. After she left his cattle station, he has come to realize how much she means to him and he is determined not to let her go this time. But Kerry is a gypsy, a wanderer. She cannot put down roots. Cooper is responsible for his family in Australia. He cannot just up and leave. And that's where the dilemma is. Which one of them will have to sacrifice their dreams in order for this relationship to work?

It was a good read but there are a few things that could have made it better. The author used up a lot of space describing the state of Maine which I think was unnecessary. If she had used that space instead to write more scenes of Kerry and cooper, it could have been better utilized.
Cooper and kerry hardly had any privacy or romantic scenes between them because her hometown is small where everyone knows everyone's business and the gossips are strife. Any little thing Kerry or cooper do, the news spread fast. What makes matter worst is that Kerry's family is one of the founding family of the cove so everyone knows her. She is not able to slip under the radar.
Too many secondary characters butting in Kerry and copper's business. There were just too many of them all clamoring to have their voices heard. They drowned out Kerry and copper's story.
Otherwise it made for a pleasant read.

This the third and final part of this series, this time about Kerry McCrae who is currently helping her Uncle Fergus (who recently had a stroke) run his pub in Blueberry Cove after wandering the globe for many years.

Kerry rarely stays in one place for very long, but before returning home to Blueberry Cove she had stayed in a cattle ranch in Australia for a year, the longest she's every stayed. Then unexpectedly her ex-boss, Cooper, from Australia turns up and in the middle of the pub asks her to marry him! Unexpected as they haven't seen each other for a year and also, whilst they certainly both had strong feelings for one another, nothing had ever happened in Australia.

So as Cooper has booked a month's holiday away from the cattle station anyway him and Kerry decide to get to know each other again and see what happens, with Cooper integrating himself into the Blueberry Cove family very easily.

There wasn't anything major happening in this story is was just a very easy-reading, small town story about family relationships, with a really lovely happy ending. I do enjoy Donna Kauffman's writing, and Amanda Ronconi is one of my favourite narrators.

I read several books by this author about 10 years ago (Not So Snow White and The Cinderella Rules and the Black Sheep books) and hadn't seen any books by her in years. So I was surprised to see this book in the store. I liked it -- but not as much as the earlier books. However - since this is book 3, I will probably go back and read books 1 & 2. In this book, Kerry McCrae is living in Blueberry Cove, helping her Uncle Fergus run his pub and wait as her sisters get married - one by one. Kerry has no love because she is generally a world-wanderer, rarely staying anywhere for more than a few months. However, before returning to her home turf, she had been working on a cattle station in Australia, where she had a mad crush on her boss. Imagine her surprise when the man she had been crushing on, Cooper, suddenly appears in her pub and proposes marriage! He agrees to stay in Blueberry Cove for a month to woo her. But can Kerry tamp down her wanderlust and became an Outback wife?

Nice story. Heroine is the unattached sister of the earlier stories in the series. She's the one with wanderlust who's spent most of the past decade wandering the world and hasn't been home much, until she got a wedding invitation from her brother. Up until that point, the longest she spent anywhere was the cattle station in Northern Australia where she'd been working for the past year before going home to Maine. And then her Australian boss, the guy she'd been fantasizing about but never did anything with, walks into her uncle's bar and proposes. Marriage. So of course she runs scared. He talks her into giving him a chance, giving them a chance to see if they can have something real together. There's some sexy times and some serious questioning about relationships. It's a good read. I liked it.

This is Kerry's story, and it starts when Cooper Jax shows up in her uncle's bar, all the way from Australia, and in front of everyone, proposes. The rest is how Cooper works on persuading Kerry to marry him, when she has reservations about her ability to commit long term to anything, much less anyone. The rest of the crew is there, Kerry's sisters Hannah and Fiona, her brother Logan, and their spouses and partners. Good twist at the end.

After the disastrous written Irish accent for Brodie in Half Moon Harbor, I was apprehensive about Cooper's Australian accent in print. However, it was much better than Brodie's in Half Moon Harbor.

Unfortunately the author lost me with this one, about 50% of this novel was inner monologue. I’m a big fan of show and not tell, don’t need to tell me so much why they are drawn to each other or why they are nervous, just let the characters interact and we can infer the rest. I also feel some flashbacks to their time in Australia would have served better than her continued, “And this is why they always worked so well together” back in Australia thoughts. However, the characters are fun and the ever-amazing Amanda Ranconi (narrator of the audiobook) did awesome with the story. I also appreciated a glimpse into the previous books characters lives and what was going on

A nice finish to an enjoyable series

I listened to the first two books in the series and just finished reading this e-book. Although there were a couple minor typos, this was a pleasant reading experience. Be forewarned that there are a few steamy scenes. But those can be flipped through easily enough.

If you enjoyed the first two books in this series, you will certainly enjoy this one as well. You can certainly read all three books in this series as stand-alone pieces. However, it is much more fun to read them in order. Enjoy!

This is the third book in The Brides of Blueberry Cove Series and I was excited to read it and to follow the story of the third sister and see who she would fall for and how their romance would end. Like I have said before I love series and like when I read them and feel motived to get the next one and read it also. This is the last of The Brides but I believe there are two called The Grooms o Blueberry Cove so I will read those next.
