When Sarah Winston started the virtual garage sale, it seemed like a keystroke of genius and the next logical step in her business. No more collapsing card tables and rainy-day washouts. But what began as a fun way to run garage sales during the long New England winter has become a nightmare of managing people and putting out fires. Online, she can avoid the crowds--but not the crazies.
May Be Her Last
She certainly never bargained on dealing with frightening threats. And when a client is murdered, it's time for Sarah to swallow her pride and seek the help of her ex--C.J. Hooker, chief of police. Forging a tense alliance, they search--online and off--for the killer. But solving this crime before someone else gets tagged seems virtually impossible…
Praise for Tagged for Death
"Full of garage-sale tips…amusing. A solid choice for fans of Jane K. Cleland's Josie Prescott Antique Mystery series." --Library Journal
"Skillfully rendered…Sarah is the type of intelligent, resourceful, and appealing person we would all like to get to know better." --Mystery Scene
Sherry Harris is the Agatha Award nominated author of the Sarah Winston Garage Sale mystery series and the Chloe Jackson Sea Glass Saloon mysteries. Sherry is a past president of Sisters in Crime and a member of Mystery Writers of America. Sherry loves books, beaches, bars, and bargain hunting — not necessarily in that order. She is also a patent holding inventor.
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite cozy mystery series. I was glad to finally get to Mike being part of the story (yup, I started the last book and now am working my way through the rest) because I like his character and was interested in exactly how their friendship started. I liked this mystery a lot and I like that these mysteries tend to have a little more of an edge feel than other cozies (which is a little weird when the main character Sarah even turns the H in WTH to heck). The only thing I am not loving about this series is the wishy washy way Sarah goes between her feelings for CJ and Seth. I like them both and while I may have been spoiled to where it ends up I’m ready to get there. Beyond that I like the mystery, the setting, the characters of this book and this series as a whole. Sarah is a fun protagonist and I like that she is maintaining her independence.
Sarah Winston sees virtual garage sales as a way to keep her business flourishing during the winter months but she never imagined they could lead to murder. There are some crazy people online so to join her garage sale group you have to be added by someone already a member. Should be safe right? Nope, the crazies get in and one of her clients ends up dead. At loose ends about both the murder and her love life, she ends of working with both her ex, the man she is also dating, and a very interesting next door neighbor to put the real killer in the slammer.
I am loving this series and I love that this one takes place during the winter months because it shows Sarah can get creative to keep her business growing. The author also continues to include the Air Force connection running throughout the series. Sarah has friends on and off the base allowing her to be part of both worlds. Her ex-husband is out of the military and now the police chief of Ellington. With each murder, the couple struggles with their relationship. She is also dating the local district attorney. Her friends have their opinions on who she should be with and so do I. 🙂 Not much of a cook, Sarah spends a lot of time at DiNapoli’s restaurant, she is like family to the Italian owners. I get a warm feeling whenever they sit down to share a meal and a little wine. Her landlord and downstairs neighbor and Carol owner of the Paint and Wine are also 2 constants in her new non-military life.
The main plot is complex. It seems to be tied to Sarah’s virtual garage sales but it takes time to find all the connections. Sarah also learns she has a stalker and that is scary because she doesn’t know if they are the murderer or if this has no connection to the case. I loved the way one part of the mystery was solved, but as the last part was falling into place I felt like when I watch a scary movie and you are peering through your fingers shouting “DON’T GO IN THERE!!” Thank you, Ms. Harris, my pulse was racing!
I have really enjoyed the first 3 books in this series. Each one tops the one before. I am excited for book 4, A Good Day to Buy and book 5, I Know What You Bid Last Summer when it makes its debut on February 27!
A fantastic installment in the Sarah Winston Garage Sale Mysteries!
I have loved this series since book one, TAGGED FOR DEATH. I enjoy yard sales. Okay, I enjoy the thought of yard sales, but I don’t enjoy the early Saturday morning involved. ;-) So, author Sherry Harris and her exciting books fill the need in the yard sale lover wannabe in me. :-)
I’ve had great fun reading about the adventures of Sarah Winston. She’s a wonderful character. Ms. Harris has brought this protagonist to life in such a way, I feel like I know her personally. I’m already looking forward to the next book so I can spend time with Sarah again!
ALL MURDERS FINAL! is a thrilling mystery that started the action in its first sentence and didn’t slow down until the exciting conclusion! Brilliantly written, each chapter drew me in deeper and deeper, my anticipation mounting with every turn of the page. By the time I had reached the last page, all I could say was…Wow!
The Sarah Winston Garage Sale Mystery series is a shining gem in the crown of cozy mysteries, will ALL MURDERS FINAL! being the brightest jewel!
Pick up your copy today at your local bookstore, or order it online, because no one in their right mind would ever put this wonderful book in their garage sale. They won’t want to let it go!
Make sure to check out the back of the book for great yard sale tips!
All Murders Final! was a fun and entertaining cozy mystery, and a good addition to the Sarah Winston Garage Sale Mysteries. Sarah and all her friends were back for another mystery. This time a couple of murders occur that Sarah tries to solve before the police suspect her. Things are even more complicated when it becomes clear that on top of everything else going on, Sarah has a stalker.
I really like Sarah and the other characters. The only thing negative for me about this series so far is how wishy-washy Sarah is about her ex-husband, C.J., and her other interest, Seth. both are good characters, and while I like Seth better, I just wish she'd make up her mind! I'm not a fan of love triangles. Other than that, these books have all been great!
I was seriously into this book from the get-go! I don't know why, but the murder happened and then I was sucked in. With the stalking, the robbing, the murders, it was ALL good! I didn't know how it was going to end but I didn't guess how the author did it. Great story and I can't wait to read about Sarah's next adventure!
As Sarah Winston prepares for another snowy winter in Ellington, Massachusetts she has set up a virtual garage sale to increase her business base. Customers ask to join and are vetted and then they can post their sale goods. When Sarah arrives at a seller's home to pick up some goods, she discovers the woman sitting in her car with a tablecloth shoved in her mouth. As Sarah waits for the police to arrive, she receives a photo of her standing at the murder victim's car! As Sarah works to keep her virtual garage sale going, she becomes more involved when her apartment is robbed, she and another woman are assaulted and the other woman ends of dead later on. Did I mention she has also acquired a stalker who seems bent on scaring her to death or killing her!
A rousing read that will keep you turning the pages! Sarah and all the characters are well defined. The setting and background are well done. The murder plot twists and turns to a surprise double ending! I highly recommend this series. This is the third of seven books in the series and not to be missed.
Book 3. Chloe is not part of Destin ,Florida resident ( she was living in Chicago) her and her life long friend that died In Afghanistan gave her ownership of a bar ( with his gramdma Vivi )and his house there. At first vivo was not friendly at all. But now she is starting to warm up to Chloe. Chloe was dating a man Rip that Vivo could not stand him or his family. ( Bad Blood). Well in this book 3 in series the book 3 started off with a banner up above on a helicopter saying I Love You Chloe. Joaquin said hey is that Rip doing. But Chloe said nope he would not do that and besides we are hiding are relationship. Then they went into the Bar and there were Flowers Bouquet a hole lot of them waiting for her. There was a note I Love Chloe. Then after awhile there was a bottle of champagne her favorite waiting in back of bar. Then she had a suspicion of who it was. And the suspension was true. He ex fiancee. Why was he here. She wondered. Well he was back to win her back. But Chloe had some very crazy things that came to a head about Perry. One he now had 2 to or 3 girlfriends ,a baby, and he started doing absolutely things that Chloe did not believe. Like Gambling, Roller Blading, And a trapeze stunt. She always thought that he was boring and dull. And the last gift was him bringing her to Restaurant ( him not there because he passed) Joaquin the bartender went with her. Of the bar . It was like a Weird Da Ja Vou at the restaurant with the first meal portions together, their 6 month anniversary and The time he put a wedding ring in a Backed Alaskan cake. But she said yes to appease her Family and his family watching. this. Then some people were staring at her at now restaurant. Come to find out it was Perry co workers and Sunni a woman he was having affair with. She told Joaquin What happened to Perry. Both Chloe and Joaquin did not say that he been shot. Another woman Lori had a baby with Perry no one knew who the father was but Chloe saw that the little girl had his features. Vivi was trying to fit Chloe with some Remarkable bachlors . but Chloe started realizing what Vivi was up too. Live this Eeries. I live in a small town in Crestview Florida and sure enough the actual town was mentioned in this book 3. All the places they talk about I have been.like Defunak Springs, Destin Pensacola. Awesome for a Author to mention these towns and cities.
Sarah and CJ are having dinner together, he brings up the topic of her virtual garage sales. CJ warms her they can cause problems as predators use false names to find victims. Sarah explains that her garage sale is limited to people living in the area and should not be a problem. Sarah learns that CJ is correct when there are several problems connected to the virtual garage sale. There are two deaths, but the most serious one is that she has a acquire a stalker. While CJ and Stan believe her, the state police do not. They feel she is a person of interest in the murders. There are many changes and turns that you expect in a Garage Sale series. The ending is a surprise and I like it. This series can be read as a stand alone, however reading in order is better.
Disclosure: I received a free copy from Kensington Books through NetGalley for an honest review. I would like to thank them for this opportunity to read and review the book. The opinions are my own.
**I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review**
This was a great book. The characters were written well enough that it felt they could jump off the page. I appreciated that she had one of the characters come back from active duty different than when he had left. This is a subject that people typically don't want to talk about, and I think it was important in this book since the series is set near a military base. The mystery felt a little busy to me, but it was tied up nicely in the end.
Sherry Harris never disappoints! Her books are a thrift finders delight. This book took us to a new idea for yardsaling by showing us how online yardsales work. Mix in Sarah's confusion between two men, the fact that her online sight brings some unwanted and dangerous attection and of course all the wonderful details about thrifty bargains this book was another winner. Now if only we didn't have to wait so long til the next one.
As winter approaches, Sarah Winston needs to find a way to make money and keep her name out there in order to keep her garage sale business afloat. Setting up and administering a virtual garage sale website sounds like a great way to do it. When one of her members ends up dead, with Sarah finding the body, the website might not be all it was cracked up to be.
I am enjoying this series and I love that this one takes place during the winter months because it shows Sarah can get creative to keep her business growing. The air force base continues to be part of the setting as Sarah has friends on and off the base allowing her to be part of both worlds. There is a bit of a love triangle in the story with Sarah dealing with her ex, CJ Hooker, the local police chief, and the Assistant D.A. rich and handsome Seth. Her friends have their opinions on who she should be with leaving Sarah even more confused. Not much of a cook, Sarah spends a lot of time at DiNapoli’s restaurant, she is like family to the Italian owners. I love when she spends time with Angelo and Rosalia as well as their staff who are all like a big Italian family. Her landlord and downstairs neighbor, Stella, and Carol owner of the Paint and Wine round out her friends in her new non-military life.
The storyline in this one is a bit more complex than I expected. The initial murder seems to be tied to Sarah’s virtual garage sales but with pictures popping up on her phone, it seems Sarah also has a stalker. As the pictures become scarier, people are getting hurt and Sarah starts to have problems, it is not clear if everything is tied together or not. Is there a connection between the stalker and the murders? Does Sarah know the stalker? The final twist at the end of this one had me peeking through my fingers at the page. Stop! Don't go in there Sarah? I really enjoyed this one and am sure all cozy mystery lovers will feel the same.
*I received this book in exchange for an honest review from Kensington and Netgalley. All opinions stated in this review are explicitly my own*
Sherry Harris has been one of the best new cozy mystery authors to come out in the recent years. Her first book was dynamite, the second not quite as good, but it was still high-quality work, and the third I can now say was excellent, also.
Sarah Winston is a little bit different than most cozy MCs. Yes, she follows the typical stereotype of being divorced when the series starts, but unlike many other MCs, her ex is still very much in the picture. Though I don't necessarily care for the ex, it's a nice change and it adds a bit more tension to the entire plotline of the story.
The secondary characters are also wonderful they all are solid and well-developed, without taking center stage too often. I absolutely love Ellington. The author keeps most of the village unknown to the reader, but what we do know is it's a quaint, very livable type of town that I love to read about!
The mystery was well put together and the killer took me by surprise. The entire mystery was set up in such a way that genuinely sent chills down your spine. I loved it! Overall an absolutely wonderful book. Highly recommend this book and the series!
Another great book in the Sarah Winston series. I loved meeting Mike, Officer Awesome and seeing a different side of Seth. I wonder if we'll see more of Mike and this different side of Seth. I hope the relationship between Stella and Officer Awesome progresses. And once again, I can't wait to read the next one.
All Murders Final! by Sherry Harris is an entertaining, fast-paced, cozy mystery starring Sarah Winston Hooker. A solid four-star story I simply had to bump its rating up to five stars because of the perfect ending!
Savin' my money and I'm hella happy that's a bargain - Thrift Shop by Macklemore
Sherry Harris, an Air Force spouse, set the Sarah Winston Garage Sale Mystery series in the fictional town of Ellington, Massachusetts, near the fictional Finch Air Force Base. These locales are based on Bedford, Massachusetts, and Hanscom AFB. Sherry's spouse was assigned to this small base in the cradle of the American Revolution ... and Hanscom AFB was my first assignment.
Sarah Winston is a capable military spouse herself. Actually, she's divorced from her husband, CJ Hooker, the former commander of the Security Forces (military police). Their divorce, his retirement, and her move off base played out in TAGGED FOR DEATH, Book 1 in the series. Once a military spouse, always a military spouse. Military spouses learn to be thrifty, flexible, and diplomatic. In ALL MURDERS FINAL!, Book 3 in the series, Sarah draws upon those attributes she gained as a military spouse to kick start her new career - garage sale adviser. Alas, garage sales are not feasible during a Massachusetts winter ... so Sarah creates a virtual garage sale site for the local denizens to buy and sell according to their New England thriftiness.
Sarah's success is met with complaints from buyers (who are outbid), sellers (when buyers pick up without payment), and a consignment store owner (who is loosing business to the site). These issues are nothing compared to Sarah finding the reigning matron dead after arguing online with her over the sale of a vintage tablecloth. Sarah sets out to clear her name and her business ... with a fluffernutter sandwich in hand!
ALL MURDERS FINAL explores life in a historic New England town where the residents struggle to keep up with the high cost of living. I appreciated Harris incorporating local traditions - wine from the packy! - along with the pursuit of a bargain in the digital age. Harris adds depth with Sarah's struggle to reconcile her feelings for her ex husband (based on sweet memories) and the very single district attorney (based on rebound fun). The creme de la creme was Mike the Big Cheese, a secondary character who hints at another mystery altogether. I hope to see Mike (and his cheese) in future books. I stayed up too late to finish ALL MURDERS FINAL! - I could not put this book down. I felt as though I was back at Hanscom Air Force Base, soaking up the history along the Freedom Trail.
I read the series in the following order: Book 2, Book 1, and Book 3. Harris takes the time to provide just enough backstory for readers to jump into the series with any book. And what a fun jump it would be!
I recommend this book to fans of cozy mysteries, New England, and bargain hunting.
All Murders Final, book three in the Sarah Winston Garage Sale Mysteries is certainly a winner for Author Sherry Harris. My heart was pounding like a drum, at times, as I was riveted by the complex plot filled with mystery, intrigue, and unexpected drama, throughout! I'd review this story with more stars, if possible.
First page--Boom! The murder victim is found by Sarah. Then, a photo app on her cell phone sends a photo some anonymous stalker person has just taken of her...Creepy. The suspense is just beginning. The Big Cheese mobster, Mike Titone, moves into the vacant apartment next door to Sarah, along with his henchmen, while they let some things cool down on his home turf. Holy Batman! They don't just sit around smoking cigars and playing cards! Wait 'til you see these guys in action! On and off boyfriend, Seth...huh? This man's been keeping a few secrets from Sarah...oh, my! Needless to say, branching out into the online garage sale business has livened up Sarah's social life. Unfortunately, it's led to some deaths, too. Don't miss reading this thrilling cozy mystery!
FTC Disclosure – The publisher sent me a digital ARC provided through NetGalley, in the hopes I would review it.
All Murders Final is the third book in a series, i haven't read the first two. I received a free copy from Net Galley in exchange for an honest review. Sarah loves garage sales so she has decided to start up an online Garage sale site. Where she will sell her own items and help others sell their stuff for a commission. She didn't bargain on the online drama and craziness or murder. After arranging to meet someone so she can purchase one of their sale items. She finds the Women dead in her driveway. It's not just any Women it's the pillar of the community Margaret Miller. Then she is sent a photo of herself standing in front of the dead Women in her car on pop it the photo sharing app. She realizes she wasn't the only one there! A real whodunit with plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing from beginning to end.
This series keeps getting better and better and even better than that! Nice mysteries about Sarah and her garage sale business, her relationships, and the murder she inevitably solves in every book. All Murders Final!, the third book in the series, is very cozy, very well written, and a nice progression in the storyline. Highly recommended by this cozy lover. A+
ARC honest review for Kensington Books via NetGalley.
This was my first introduction to the Sarah Winston Garage Sale Mystery series. Whoever would have thought garage sales could be murder!
From finding a dead body on the first page, to the explosive finish. This book is a rollercoaster ride from start to finish.
I loved everything about this book, and will be getting the previous ones into my TBR pile.

Excellent for keeping me company on my walks! Absorbing, interesting characters and good plot development with just enough possible murderers to keep one guessing.
This is one cozy series that is always fun.. It follows Sarah Winston as she runs her garage sale business which is organizing and running garage sales for others. She now even does on line garage sales too. In this story, there are tips on putting a sale together but also warnings of dangers too. Sarah of course finds herself right in the middle of a murder or two, but that's not all-someone is stalking her.
All Murders Final! is the third installment in the Sarah Winston Garage Sale mystery series. The series centers around main character Sarah Winston who after her divorce has found a niche business organizing garage sales in Ellington, MA.
Winter is in full swing across Ellington bringing outdoor garage sales to a standstill, hoping to supplement her income and gain more clients for her business, Sarah has set up a Virtual Garage Sale site. Although it is a lot of work dealing with site maintenance and the complaints of site members, Sarah is enjoying the challenge. Sarah is also busy helping friend Laura Niklas set up the February Blues Sale on neighboring Fitch Air Force Base.
Sarah is looking forward to picking up her new vintage tablecloth from town maven Margaret More, until she discovers the body of the woman dead in her driveway. Sarah can't imagine who would have a reason to murder the most influential woman in town, until she starts digging into her past and discovers that Margaret had a bit of a "blackmailing" side.
As the murder investigation heats up Sarah finds that she is also dealing with a stalker. Someone is following her, taking her picture and sending threatening text messages. When her apartment is broken into she is somewhat relieved to have reputed Mobster Mike Titone and his brothers hiding out in the apartment across the hall.
This edition to the series brings back past characters including DiNapoli's owners Rosalie and Angelo and landlady, opera singer and good friend Stella Wild. Sarah is still caught in the love triangle between ex husband Chief of Police CJ and dreamy eligible batchelor Seth Anderson.
A great series full of fun characters that will be sure to brighten your day. While not necessary, I do recommend starting the series from the beginning to get the full character developments of Sarah and her friends.
I received an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley via Kensington Publishing. While not required to write a review I am more than happy to offer my honest opinion.
With so many cozies out there, it’s hard to imagine a scenario that’s different and exciting, but Sherry Harris has come up with a doozy! Not only does Sarah Winston run yard sales for a living, but there’s a military tie-in since, she is recently divorced from C.J., who was active military before retiring and becoming the local chief of police. Sarah and C.J.’s relationship is up in the air. She divorced him because she thought he was cheating on her, which later proved to be false, However, Sarah feels that her ex isn’t trying very hard to get back together, and she wants him to fight for her. Add in a very handsome and sexy District Attorney who’s also making a play for Sarah, and you have a sizzler of a sub-plot. In ALL MURDERS FINAL, Sarah stumbles upon the body of an old woman who has been a fixture in their small town – active in all things historical and community minded. Then another woman is murdered. And Sarah has a stalker who sends her pictures and threats. There is no shortage of possible suspects and motives. I truly didn’t figure out who was doing all the evil until it was revealed. Ms. Harris is like a juggler, keeping all her plots, subplots, characters, and events whirling around, all the while keeping up a breathless pace. Another masterful episode in a delightful series. I received a free e-book from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.
This is the 3rd installment in this exciting series by the talented Sherry Harris. I love garage sales, yard sales, etc., so this series really appeals to me. I am also from Massachusetts so it is also nostalgic.
As Sarah continues working on her garage sales, she is also developing an online presence as well. It can be difficult sorting through your social media content and Sarah finds herself being bullied in the big old cyber world. Not only does the cyber bully taunt her on her website, the bully resorts to sending her creepy photos via a popular phone app.
Something big is brewing and Sarah is caught up in the middle. CJ and Seth aren't making these easier in the relationship department and Sarah knows she has some decisions to make.
This book sent me on a wild adventure and and the quirky characters made this a fun book to read.
I think the author has a great style of writing and tells the story with so much color you want to jump in between the pages and join Sarah and friends on another adventure.
I received an ARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my fair and honest response.
All Murders Final! by Sherry Harris is the 3rd book in the Garage Sale Mystery series. I love this series, and this book is no exception. Sarah Winston is a well developed main character, who I really like. Sarah makes a living by organizing sales for people and businesses. Since it's winter, Sarah started up a virtual garage sale, which quickly adds up to a lot of work. After Sarah finds a body she sets out to find the murderer. This mystery has it all, a great plot that is well developed along with a little romance. I strongly recommend this book for all cozy mystery lovers, To get the most out of the books read all three in order, you won't be disappointed.
