I moved stiffly in Giorgio's arms as what felt like a thousand eyes watched us with speculative expressions.
“So, long time no see, huh?”
“Really? After three years, you come all the way back to Genoa just to say that?” I asked, trying to keep my anger in check.
“No, but the reason behind my return will be a private conversation that we'll have when you're ready. I was just making small talk. Honestly, Jorden, you look like you've seen a ghost.”
“That's not too far off base,” I snarked.
“You're beautiful.”
“And you're an asshole.” He did look amazing in his tux. The years had been unjustly good to him, but the last thing Giorgio Greco needed was his ego stroked.
“Oh! What would your Daddy Dearest say if he knew his little princess had such a potty mouth?”
“Don't try to distract me, Gio, you know it won't work. Why are you here?”
“Can't you just be happy to see me, and let that be the end of it?”
“Not a chance.”
His eyes narrowed in frustration. “Fine. You want the truth? The truth is, I couldn't stop thinking about you. Is that what you wanted to hear?”
I stared in shock, my mouth suddenly too dry to respond.

Hi; I'm Jessica. In a nutshell I'm just a hopeless romantic with a wandering mind and a big imagination who's grateful to God for her gift of storytelling. I've been blessed with a mind and imagination inclined toward all things artistic, so I think a creative career was always meant for me. I've been writing since I was a kid, but I didn't start seriously contemplating becoming an author until I was in college. The idea for this sprawling fantasy series that is now known as The Mythic Chronicles came to me when I was sixteen, and I got so inspired by this little half-formed idea that I wrote my first draft of the story that, 8 years later, became Book 1: Enchanted in about one month.. That first manuscript will never see the light of day because it was pretty terrible, but no worries, My skills have improved a lot since then. If you're up for a sprawling, fantasy series packed with plenty of magic, danger, romance, and adventure, the journey begins with Enchanted: The Mythic Chronicles Book 1. It was a okay read, I felt the book moved along to fast without a good story. I don't know if story is the right word. Case in point Gio, no one knew where he was or what his life was like for the three years he was gone,we never found out. Don't seem real in the Mafia world and the way it ended I just can't see that happening. I felt as if the story was short and incomplete just my opinion.

Still Thinking

I'm not sure how I feel about this book. I didn't follow it at the beginning. (Maybe it's just me) Or maybe because the plot wasn't to my liking. The main characters were to young for any of what this story was about so to me it wasn't realistic
