4 just a taste stars
Perfectly Equipped is a fun little read about April and Sean and their epic first encounter. I bet few can recount their first meeting at a nudist resort, Sean waking her up from her sun frying with his junk in her face offering to rub her red ass with sunscreen. It was cute, it was fun and it was sexy, it was enough to make me want to read what happens to them next. This can be read as a standalone if you're in need of a quickie, or it can be read as a prologue to Perfectly Seduced.

April is a 30- something forensic pathologist, a recently widowed single mom of a young son, and reluctantly dragged on a vacation by her best friend--to a nudist resort! Best friend Millie thinks it's time for April to let loose and have some fun, and what better way to hook up than seeing exactly what you're getting than at a nudist resort. April doesn't have high hopes for this crazy vacation but then she sees Sean (in all his overly endowed glory) and thinks...why not?

This was a short short short read that packed a little punch. I didn't realize when I started it that it was a prequel to Perfectly Seduced, and since it had a cliffhanger ending, now I'm going to have to read Perfectly Seduced. Darn. I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did--after reading the book blurb I thought it would be a smutfest, but actually there was a story, and it left me wanting to know more about the characters.
Here's hoping that Perfectly Seduced answers all my questions and lives up to my expectations! 4 stars

My first Lacey Silks book was My First, My Last. I loved it because it’s a story of second chances and the couple was mature. Now with Perfectly Equipped, she has done it again. April is a widow and her friend Millie takes her on a vacation to a nudist resort for some fun. Once there she meets Sean:
“There it was, no more than a foot away, hanging between his parted legs - a c*ck the size of which I’d never seen before.”
Sean’s words to April: “Your behind is getting red. I gather it’s a tanning virgin.”
They are in their 30’s and they each have a kid. There is chemistry and April decides to go for it, which is not her norm. I enjoyed the connection between April and Sean. Millie is a free spirit and funny; the opposite of April. Their vacation is cut short when the volcano becomes active; Sean and April are separated during the evacuation….
We will have to wait until Perfectly Seduced releases in September to find out if Sean and April will find each other again. Will their chemistry be the same off the island? Is there more for them?

So we know our main guy has a huge wang we hear about it a lot for how short the book is . There is some insta love or I guess boners . There is a lot of set up. And what sounds to be some deep issues so I think the rest of the series will have a better outcome . I'm not sure just yet if I'll continue with this series

April trusted her best friend Millie to book their vacation. Little did she know she would end up at a nudist resort in Hawaii. April is not exactly welcome to being seen naked and tries to hide out on the beach until she falls asleep in the sun. A perfect specimen of a man awakens her to warn her that she is getting a little on the burnt side and sparks fly between the two.
This was actually a fun beginning to what needs to be a much longer tale. April and Millie's interactions were sometimes hilarious but it seemed to be lacking a lot of backstory which hopefully will come in the next book. A good start to the hot and steamy relationship between Sean and April though and will look forward to the next.
While short still a fun, hot and steamy read.

Decent writing, but not really the most captivating of tales. For a story this short, it had a nice flow to it, and I do believe the 1st book will be pleasant.
Not sure it caught my attention so much so that I will actually continue the series, but you never know, right?

Holy crap! Great read! Really enjoyed it, but..man, you sneeze and it's over!
April is dragged away to a fun-filled girls' getaway. April's husband passed away a few years ago, leaving her to raise their son alone. Her best friend Millie decides that she needs to get out a live a little. As they arrive at their destination, April soon finds out that they're at a Nudist Beach! Millie is hell0bent on getting April to let loose, and if April is try to herself, she really would like to get back in the swing of things.
As April finds a secluded beach, she hunkers down to lay in the sun..not completely comfortable with her nudity. Sean walks up in his birthday suit, and April finds it difficult to look away. Sean and April start to flirt, one thing leads to another, and they're falling all over each other. As soon as things get heated between them, they're pulled apart..and then there's the cliffhanger.
Great quick read..really liked all the characters. My only wish would be a better description of April..really have no idea what she looks like. great tease of an idea for a couple; definitely would read the next!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I have read the Crossed series by Lacey Silks so when I was offered a chance to read this Perfectly Equipped, I was both honored and excited. I was not disappointed. It is humorous, steamy and turbulent. I experienced a myriad of emotions while reading this book. Everything from laughing till my ribs hurt over April’s friend Millie’s antics to fanning myself and sizzling in my seat over the outrageous things that Sean would say to April. Sean is everything you could want in a man including being perfectly equipped which often comes up and catches April’s eye. Throughout this short story Sean and April’s souls are bared along with their bodies. This was a scorching hot prequel and I cannot wait to be Perfectly Seduced in September and read the rest of Sean and April’s story. I highly recommend as a book that will sweep you off your feet and make your temperature rise enough to make you want to lose your clothes along with them.

This was a cute short fun read. April is a widowed single mom who went on Vacation with her best friend Millie. Unknown to her, their vacation takes place at a nudist resort where Millie wants her to let loose and enjoy her time there, and maybe enjoy a man. What better place to hook up than a nudist resort where you know exactly what you will be getting? At first April is none too thrilled about the destination of their vacation, that is, until she meets Sean. The chemistry between them is great and soon April starts to loosen up even more. Soon things start getting hot and heavy, but just as fast, a crisis happens which forces everyone to leave the island on speed boats separating April and Sean. “I’ll find you,” he said. This is a prequel to “Perfectly Seduced” and a great start to these characters. I am really looking forward to continue their story.

A really quick (less than hour!) read.
I'm struggling with what to think about this book, everything I want to say is quickly contradicted by another thought!
It is a brilliant introduction to the two main characters and their initial responses to each other. Although some parts were very predictable, I am drawn to them and really feel a connection. Even though their pasts are only vaguely hinted at and their present lives even less so, they both have a friendly feel to them, like we already know them quite well.
The guts of the story, for me is probably a bit far fetched and to be quite honest, I'd have been happy if the whole thing was the prologue within the upcoming book.
Looking forward to seeing where this holiday romance leads!

Lacey has turned up the heat with this prequel of April and Sean meeting on a nudist resort while she was on vacation with her bestie. Being a widow and mom she doesn’t date hardly at all and hasn’t been with anyone in the two years since her hubby died.
But with instant attraction mutually felt at a brief beach encounter by not take the plunge- it’s vacation right. Right after their tryst a natural disaster pulls them away from each other as they evacuate from a volcanic eruption (*super fitting in 2018*).
What’s not to love, a hot erotic encounter with a single dad. Too bad they don’t know anything more about each other.....
I am excited for perfectly seduced especially with the synopsis.

Short, sweet, and oh so sexy! Does it get any better? This spicy little tale grabs you right from the start and just never lets go. The plot is interesting, the writing impressive, and the characters authentic and engaging. They completely draw you into the story and you just can't help but become in invested in their lives. Overall, I found this book to be impassioned, provocative, intriguing, seductive and completely enthralling. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for an absolutely riveting read.

I'm a big fan of Ms Silks so i was really happy to come across this first novella installment to the series. although it's quite short - it's a great beginning to what seems like will be a complicated yet passionate story.
As the overview tells us, we meet our leading lady - her husband passed away 2 years ago and she's yet to truly enter back into the world of the living. She's got a son who she does everything for and that's her entire life's purpose. It's at the prodding of her best friend that she goes on this vacation to Hawaii which turns out to be a nudist resort. There she meets Sean who makes her feel things that she's missed out on for years.
Of course things can't ever be that easy. What seems like a quick to build relationship of course becomes something much more complicated when a natural disaster breaks them apart and that's where we're left off. Who knows when and if they will find each other again and what that will mean to the budding romance.
True to Lacey Silks' style, we get the teasing beginnings of some great heat and passion - a chemistry that seems like it could truly be explosive. I can only hope that we get to see how that culminates in the next book which i've already downloaded.

OK, so normally I don’t even read free prequels since they are just a trick to get me to buy the actual book, but it this case I got the larger book first and wanted to make sure I knew what the background was!
April is letting loose on vacation with her friend, Millie….at a nudist resort in Hawaii. It has been 2 years since she lost her husband and has focused on nothing but her work as a forensic pathologist and her son, Parker. The trip was really not her idea and she regrets going until she crosses paths with the Sean. He catches her napping on the beach and offers to apply sunscreen to her bottom which is turning red. They see each other at diner later and they immediately feel a spark which leads to skinny dipping and more. Through a sudden turn of events they are separated before they exchange contact information.
So yes, this was so short…..and that is only a bad thing when it is such a good story. The characters were electric together and there is some mystery around Sean, that I can’t wait till the next book where hopefully more will be revealed.

Through a sudden turn of events they are separated before they exchange contact information.
So yes, this was so short…..and that is only a bad thing when it is such a good story. The characters were electric together and there is some mystery around Sean, that I can’t wait till the next book where hopefully more will be revealed.

Perfectly Equipped
by Lacey Silks is a prequel to Perfectly Seduced.
April is a widowed mother in a job that doesn’t really expose her to much social interaction. Her bestie, Millie, has decided that a vacation on a Hawaiian island is just what they need to rehab April’s mojo.
Sean is dashingly handsome with an outstanding physique. He seems very interesting in April and she is very surprised that someone like Sean would be interested in her.
After spending an incredible evening together, everyone from the island rushes to evacuate safely to the mainlands, avoiding a volcano. Sean and April end up getting onto separate boats and don’t find each other when they dock.
There is a great vibe that Ms. Silks gives in this prequel that allows us a glimpse that Sean knows who April is before he “meets” her at the resort. I am anxious to see how this story plays out in Perfectly Seduced.

April has had a tough going over the last 2 years, so her friend Millie decides they need to take a vacation. Since April is often overwhelmed at work, she lets her friend plan the vacation. Mischievous Millie selects a tropical nudist resort which certainly throws April into an uncomfortable situation. April meets Sean and after some hesitation on her end, things get hot pretty quickly. Just as quickly as it starts, there's a crisis that continues in the next book. This prequel was many things: short, quick, and oh so steamy. I liked the (although brief) relationship that budded between Sean and April as well as the tropical setting. It was a brilliant setting as it played perfectly into the cliffhanger (not surprising, since it's a prequel, but don't say I didn't warn you!). The only component that I did not particularly care for was the Millie character. She just seemed a bit too immature, in my opinion. Therefore, 4 out of 5 stars. I do recommend this book for readers who can handle a couple of sex scenes and light foul language.

An awesome beginning to another series from Lacey Silks. I will read anything she writes and I am loving April and Sean. After a few years of nothing but work and her son, April needs a vacation. And her best friend Millie has the answer. But who knew Millie would book them at a nudest resort. While Millie is alive and free in her nakedness, April tries to cover herself and she hopes that no one is staring at her. So while Millie mingles with other guest, April goes to the beach where there are not others around. When she is awoken from sleep, there is a man kneeling down and his "package" is right at her face. April can't stop starring at him. She is drawn to Sean as he is drawn to her. When something happens and they have to leave abruptly, Sean puts Millie and April on the boat while he heads to another one. Will April ever see him again. She doesn't even know his last name or where he is from. I can't wait to start Perfectly Seduced to find out what happens next.

I love reading the books of Lacey Silks they always keep me wanting more this is also the same with this short story of April a widowed mother who goes with her best friend to a nudist resort. There she meets the perfectly equipped man of her dreams Sean who takes her breath away from the moment they met only she hopped that she met his eyes first and not his crotch.
Sean a gorgeous man with as the tittle mentioned also perfectly equipped knows what he wants and goes after it the moment he sees April. But the connection he has with her is not something he was planning for.
Their love making is being interrupted by a spitting Volcano and leaves us with a cliffhanger, they all need to leave the island she gets in the speedboat but did Sean get in one? Will she ever find him again because how do you reunite with a guy when you realize you don’t even know his full name and is guided to a dock in a different city.
I can’t wait to September 15th to read more about April and Sean absolutely loved this story.

Perfectly Equipped is a fun and quick read that gets your attention from page 1. If vacationing at a nudist resort in Hawaii doesn't get your attention, then I don't know what will.

It had been three years since April's husband died and Millie was determined to get April to hook up with someone. April falls asleep while sunbathing and she awakens to a naked man in all his glory in front of her offering sunscreen. Holy cow is this man hot and well endowed, not to mention cocky too.
Later that day, April runs into Sean at the restaurant. They have immediate and explosive chemistry. Unfortunately their chemistry isn't the only thing exploding. After making an unbelievable connection a volcanic eruption causes them to be separated.
Will April ever see the man who made her feel again after three years? I can't wait to read it Perfectly Seduced.

She meets Sean a perfectly equipped man in every way and he takes her on a much needed ride of romance and hot sex. A natural disaster separates them on the island and April is disappointed that she will most likely never see her sexy companion again. Little does she know Sean has secrets that will bring him into her life once more.
This was a nice start to what could be a really intriguing story. I read the blurb for the next book it seems Sean is assigned to take out April for some reason I would assume that has to do with her husbands death. Since Sean seems to have fallen for April in some way I guess he messed up that assignment. I liked Sean a lot, April took a little warming up to. I will read the next book it sounds good I would like to know what happens with April and Sean in the future.

Smoking hot prequel to Perfectly Seduced. Fun, quirky and sizzling hot (and not just from the sun shining down on April's bare bottom)!
This book starts off with April's friend Millie talking her into a much needed vacation, the only problem is Millie didn't mention this vacation would be taking place at a nudist resort in Hawaii. April is a reserved woman and the thought of parading around naked terrifies her but after getting a really good view of both Sean and his "perfectly equipped package" April finds herself opening up to new possibilities.
The book was everything you could want in a scorching hot prequel. Cannot wait to read the next book and pick up where April and Sean left off. I received an eARC copy of the book from the publisher via NetGalley for my honest review and opinion. All ratings and opinions stated are my own.
