Lonely Bear is set in Bear Bluff and can be read as a standalone story

Curvy girl Chloe has just found her fiancé, Jerry, in bed with another woman. Worse, he only dated her and asked her to marry him, so that he could get a promotion from her father. Now he has a new job, Chloe is surplus to requirements. Her father seems more concerned about losing Jerry as a potential son-in-law, than he does about how upset Chloe is.

So she escapes, for a few hours into the mountains around Bear Bluff. In the hope that the cool clear mountain air will give her the strength to take the engagement ring off her finger and let go of all her dreams of a family and happiness. But an accident leaves her injured, stuck on the side of a mountain as night draws in.

Just when things can't get any worse, she hears the lonely call of a bear. Problem is, that bear is getting closer.

Imagine going to an engagement party and realising that the happy bride to be is your bond mate. That's what happened to bear shifter Nate. Unable to endure the heartache of watching his mate get married, Nate had run away to his mountain cabin to escape. Now she is here, on his mountain, and she's hurt.

The bond means he can never hurt her, never cause her unhappiness. So he has to rescue her and then take her home, back down the mountain, even if that means she will walk down the aisle with another man and leave him alone for ever.

Only the engagement ring on her finger stops him from claiming what is rightfully his.

Lonely Bear contains scorching hot scenes and is meant for adults only.

No cheating!
Hero was celibate since he found out she was his mate.
But once again, seriously, does she HAVE to be a virgin? And he HAS to find it amusing she "saved" her for him (technically for her husband)?!?!?!
And seriously woman! Go to your dad! Tell him what a cheating whore your ex fiancé was. And then tell him where to shove it when it comes to his opinion!
You are an adult! Get a freaken job! Move. Out.
At least hero was respectful.
So was the heroine in some sense, she thought removing her engagement ring in front him and throwing herself on him would seem desperate! At least she had some self respect I guess.

Very short shifter romance. A good read if you are looking for a quick escape. It would be great if it was longer.
She just wants to be loved but when she finds the right man he has a secret that could keep them apart.

**********Contains Spoilers**********

I enjoyed reading this book. I liked the connection between Chloe and Nate. Fate sure knew what it was doing by pairing these two together and kind of giving them a second chance since Nate recognised that Chloe was his mate as soon as he saw her at her engagement Party. Knowing that she’s happy he moves to his cabin up the Mountain for solitude. After Chloe found her fiancé was cheating on her as well as using her to get in with her father, who he wanted to work for, she decided to go up the Mountain for solitude also after her failed relationship, she ends up slipping and injuring herself and she couldn’t walk so who better to help her when she’s hurt and in the middle of nowhere than her mate who would protect her from anything. I’m glad the Chloe and her dad sorted out their differences and the reason why he became extremely distance after her mum d*ed. I really liked Olivia, whose a really nice person and a great friend. I’m glad that she’s going to get her happily ever after with a man with the same traits as Nate and will never leave or internationally hurt her and I’m really looking forward to reading that next. I’d recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.

Cloe & Nate

Nate is a bear shifter living in secluded cabin in the mountains away from civilization. He has found his fated mate on the day she was celebrating her engagement to another man. Putting her happiness first Nate let her be and isolate himself up in the mountains of Bear Bluff. One night when he couldn't stop thinking about his mate, he decides to go for a run and to his great surprise he found her again. But this time he found her in the darkness of his mountain, and she was hurt. Cloe is human. After founding her fiance in bed with another woman she broke her engagement just 2 weeks before the wedding. She decided to go for a walk in the mountains where she and her deceased mother used to go. She needed to get away from her father and the disappointment that was his only daughter. She never expected to roll down the mountain, get stuck with a bruised ankle until night fall and be rescue by a gorgeous stranger that makes all thoughts of her ex disappear from her mind. Lovely and easy read with no dramas. Highly recommended

Chloe and Nate

This is a short, good, well written, Shifter/Human romance. Chloe went up into the mountains to think after finding her fiancé with another woman. She falls and sprains her ankle. Nate finds her and takes her to his cabin to patch her up. He had moved to his hunting cabin after he realized she was his mate but engaged to another. Read to learn how they finally realize they are mates.

Cute

The story was entertaining. Nothing like getting injured on a hike and find a man worth keeping. The three men that went up to rescue her seemed ominous but the ending of their scene was a little anticlimactic.

This was another good insta-love short story. I’m glad the series ended on a better note

The whole series had some grammar issues, arrogant man-whore heroes, virgin heroines and felt rushed in places. Not something I would re-read but was an alright way to spend a few hours

DELICIOUSLY CUTE AND DELIGHTFULLY HEARTWARMING !!!
Title: Lonely Bear
Series: Bear Bluff Clan
Designation: Book Six, Standalone Novella, NO Cliffhanger
Author: Harmony Raines
Reading Platform: Kindle Unlimited
My Rating: Five Heartwarming Stars *****
Lonely Bear is the sixth release in the Bear Bluff Clan Series by Harmony Raines and what a deliciously heartwarming treat it is! I'm always amazed by the range of emotions I seem to experience while reading a Harmony Raines' story. She never fails to evoke a perfect mixture of sadness, heartache, happiness, joy and yes, sometimes even anger over an injustice suffered by one of her characters. Some writers are born with a natural ability as a storyteller and Harmony Raines has been blessed with this talent in spades. She always knows exactly how to tug on our heartstrings, tickle our funny bone and warm our hearts with sweet romance and true love. This story is exceptionally well written in the first person with alternating his and her points of view by chapter and gives us a in-depth and well defined look into the thoughts and mindset of both of the primary characters. With this approach, I find it much easier to connect with not only the story but the characters as well. This is not a rough and rowdy, shoot 'em up, action-packed tale of adventure. It is, however, a very tender and touching paranormal romance between two lost, lonely and heartbroken souls that progresses slowly into a sweet, sensual burn. I love it!
Lovely Chloe Turnstall has lived a life blessed with an abundance of material riches but love for her has been in very short supply. When her mother died, she not only lost a mother's love, it seems she also lost her father. He seemed to no longer love Chloe and became critical of her every move. ANd the final straw is now he blames her for her broken engagement to Jerry. It's not her fault that Jerry only used her to advance his career and gain a job promotion from her father. Is it??? How could her father be so cruel? After suffering her father's harsh words of disapproval and disappointment, Chloe tries to escape the heartbreak of finding her fiance in the bed with another woman by going up the mountain at Bear Bluff for some time to think and be alone. Chloe is injured in a perilous accident and now faces the possibility of not only disappointing her father again but she may also die of exposure. Her ankle may be broken and she can't walk. Maybe death wouldn't be so bad after all. Her life couldn't get much worse, can it? Probably not or so she thinks until she hears the bear. Oh my goodness! But there are no bears on the mountain. Are there???
Handsome bear-shifter Nate has withdrawn from society and now lives in his hunting cabin away from the world. After waiting so many years, he's finally met his true mate. The only problem - he met her at an engagement party - hers. Oh no! His mate is Chloe Turnstall and she's getting married and it's not to him! What's bear to do? Why rescue his true mate when she's stranded on his mountain, of course. Oh my! This is torture! His true mate is now held tightly in his arms while he carries her to safety and he can't claim her because she's engaged to someone else! Or is she??? And to make matters even worse, she's afraid of bears and doesn't know he's a bear-shifter. What's a bear to do??? Poor lonely, broken-hearted Nate! No spoilers from me but I will say this.... Beautiful, curvaceous human heroine with a broken heart-check! Handsome lonely bear-shifter who found his true mate but can't claim her-check! A cheating fiance-check! An uncaring father-check! An accident and a fated encounter-check! Heated attraction, fiery passion, sweet romance and true love-you bet! That and a whole lot more! A short but satisfying paranormal romance that is both deliciously sweet and delightfully entertaining. Content warning: Please make sure you have a box of tissues nearby. You may experience some sniffles, snuffles and pains in your chest which may result in a few tears! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A truly satisfying second-chance-style romance. Chloe, humiliated and heartbroken, finds her literal and emotional rescue in Nate—her true mate who’s been forced to watch her love someone else. There’s a sense of destiny here that feels earned, and Nate’s gentle, longing presence is one of the most memorable in the series.

What would it take to get your mate

Mate knew once he seen Chloe at an engagement party she was his mate only problem, she was with her fiance. Oh did I forget to mention it was her party. He came with Olivia as a friend. So to escape he moved on the mountain top to get away. Never did his dreams tell him he would find her again injured on his mountain top. With the ring on he assumed she was still engaged not knowing she was up there to get away since she caught Jerry In bed with another woman. Once they make it to the hospital Olivia makes it worst because she coming onto Mate and not realizing he already knows the truth but when she finally see it she feels stupid and sad because she really did have a crush on him but his bear belonged to another and she would never stand in the way. She just have to wait for hers to come. In the end it was a really good book. I hope its not the ending because Sheriff Dermont and his two brother, and mate as other brothers and let's not forget Olivia need to mates. Please don't leave us with knowing the rest Ms. Raines

Harmony Raines and her Bear Bluff Clan tales are a must. Deep feeling characters, interesting tales and hot sex make this series worthwhile. Each can stand alone, but it's fun to see past characters again. Chloe has broken up with her fiancé after finding him in bed with another woman. She hikes up the mountain to get away from everyone and everything. Her own father blames her and has no sympathy. She's startled by a deer and falls, ending up with an ankle sprain, cuts and bruises all over and night encroaching. Nate knows Chloe from a wedding reception, and knows she is his mate, but her engagement ring stops his hope for them to be together. Nate finds Chloe on the mountain and rescues her, treats her wounds, and keeps her safe. There are bad guys looking for her, sent by her father, as She and Nate make their way down to town. Can Nate and Chloe get their signals straight and be together? Highly recommend. ENJOY !!!

A good fun read.
This is one of the better books in this series. More of a storyline that was interesting to read.
Really enjoyed how this played out but not too sure why the hunters were brought in to the story.
Two good people that found each other in time.
Nate found his bonded mate, at her engagement party. A year later he is living as a recluse on the mountain when Chloe falls into his lap.
Chloe gets hurt and stranded on the mountain after finding her fiancée in bed with someone else. Chloe had her head screwed on but should have stood up to her father earlier. Luckily she did not marry the jerk.
I felt sorry for Nate, knowing he was losing his mate to another was very hard, no wonder he lived up on the mountain.
Nate is friends with Olivia who is Chloe’s best friend but does not realise Olivia has feelings for him.
A tangled triangle indeed.

Awwww this book was so cute and romantic, imagine finding the love of your life but knowing they're marrying somebody else? Well Nate found his mate at her engagement party. Wanting her to be happy he disappeared to the mountains. Chloe thought she was happy, until she finds her fiancé in bed with someone else. She treks into the mountain to clear her head, only to fall and get hurt. Nate finds his mate hurt and helps her even though it's hurting him, will she realise they're fated or will they slip away from each other?
I loved this story, the plot is nice, the characters are good. A couple of grammatical errors but nothing to ruin the story. It's very romantic, and the idea that your fated for one person is lovely even if he's a shifter. The sex scenes are sweet and hot, and the ending is just right, some angst but overall a nice read.

Chloe discovers her finace cheating on her and takes a hike (literally) to clear her head a bit. She falls and cannot make her way home before it gets dark. Nate, a bear shifter, who retrested to the woods after seeing Chloe at her engagement party. She is his destined mate and he didn't want to break up her relationship so he left. He rescues her from hypothermia and when he hears of her broken engagement has to figure out a way to get her to be with him now.

This was not my cup of tea. Chloe's dad was a jerk to her for a really long time...you lose the excuse of it being a coping mechanism after a few months, then you're just a bad person. And what's up with him sending 3 creepy hunter guys to rescue her? Oh and one second she sleeps with Nate and then accusing him of just being after her money.

Chloe and Nate

I enjoy all the bear Bluff Books and the bear Creek series. This is a short read but the reading was great to me. Lonely beer is probably one of the best ones that I read in this series. Sweet, hot, interesting. It definitely can be read as a standalone. I wish they had a small epilogue.

Sweet, Short, an Sassy

I just love HEA's. Nate with his bear stayed on the mountain since his mate was going to be marrying another he couldn't keep seeing her if the other guy makes her happy. Chloe can't stop crying her fiance was only using her for the promotion so embarrassed but where to get some space. From here is when tall dark and Handsome comes to her rescue.

Wow when Nate finds his mate be thinks it's to late. She is to marry someone else. But he gets and break when she finds the guy she is supposed to marry in bed with someone else. If she had not taken a walk in the mountains he never would got his mate.
