Heinrich has been studying in the city for a year, but every weekend he goes back to his parents’ house in the country. He especially likes going to see his old friend, Mr Bart, a retired chemist. One Saturday morning, Heinrich knocks on his door as usual, but this time no one opens the door. What has happened to Mr Bart?

2022 was the year I started reading German. So happy I finished this book. It was simple but enjoyable as well and the story was even suspenseful towards the end.
