On the cover page it states:
"You can keep this volume as a private journal to chronicle your own unique stories, thoughts, opinions, likes and dislikes, hopes and dreams; or share it with close friends and family. With over 300 pages to fill out, in the end you will have recorded the story of you."
In 2004 my father was diagnosed with Stage Four Prostate Cancer and was given only six to eight months to live. Of course I was devastated, but I also knew that when he passed away, we would not only lose him, we would lose all his interesting stories and memories, so with this Journal in hand, my Dad and I sat down to record his life. We worked on it only a few hours at a time, so as not to lose our enthusiasm for the project.
What I loved about the way THE ME JOURNAL is set up, is that it is not just a way to record dates and names, education info, job info, etc. It is much more interesting than that and things I had never and would never have thought to ask were included in this journal.
Some pages are fill in the blanks type pages, some are lists to be filled out, and some are "This or That" pages which reveal so many nuances of a person that once completed, this Journal truly ends up as a keepsake of that person that is as unique as he is.
I rate this journal as 5+ OUT OF 5 STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and I recommend buying a copy of this for yourself and any and all adult loved ones asap. You never know when you might just lose someone you love, but if you have a book like this, you will be able to look at it at any time.
Another awesome thing about this Journal is that if you did what I did, which was that I would ask my Dad each question, he would answer verbally and I would record his responses in the book. This generated many hours of entertainment for both of us, and often one short question could lead us into an hour long discussion and/or the telling of anecdotes I never would have heard if not for THE ME JOURNAL.
THIS IS PROBABLY THE BEST AND MOST IMPORTANT BOOK PURCHASE OF MY LIFE. Now that my Dad has been gone for eight years, all I need to do when I want to feel close to him again, all I need to do is open that filled out journal.
I now have a Journal of my own which I plan to fill out and leave it to my children so that they will always have a piece of me with them, even after I am long gone.
This was such a fun book! There were some questions repeated, but there were a ton of questions and activities that made up for it. I didnt expect to finish the book so soon, and I kind of wish that I took more time. However, it was relaxing and allowed me to get to know myself a little bit more.
This journal has different questions on every page and several categories. It was interesting and fun to write in. There are no repeating pages like you see in other journals of this kind. It's also great gift idea for friends and family members.
