UGH SO FRUSTRATING

This was one of the most frustrating story I have read this year. Anaya was dating Jakob who was so full of himself it was ridiculous. Jakob treated Anaya like crap!! Owen is Anaya best friend. Owen was secretly in love with Anaya. So after Jakob stood Anaya up on her birthday, Owen came over to cheer her up. After a little heavy drinking, Anaya and Owen ended up sleeping together. The next day Anaya regretted what happen and just wanted things to go back they way they were before. Owen was heartbroken. After a few months Anaya found out she was pregnant. Then here goes the rollercoaster of Anaya and Owen thinking that the other one doesn't share the same feeling. (Rolls eyes)!! What was frustrating was that neither one would tell the other one how they truly felt until the last freaking page!!

A convoluted disastrous poorly written mess

0.50 of a star. Friends becoming lovers is one of my favorite genre in storytelling; but this, this story was awful. There was very little dialogue among the characters; instead of conversation, a character would spend ten to fifteen percent of the book thinking about what just happened, what was going to happen next or what happened years ago. The situation created by the author between Owen and Anaya, the protagonist, and their other lovers was so messy that the author could not figure how to fix it-so you get "a year later" heading for the chapter where the couple get their "HEA". I hate giving bad reviews- I really do.

*ugh

I was so frustrated reading this!!

Anaya is in a “relationship” with Jakob who is an ass btw
(he has an narcissistic personality)
They’ve been together for 8 years
I don’t know how they made it that long though !

Anaya pff I really didn’t like her at all.
She‘s been stood up for her birthday by Jakob and calls her bestie Owen he comes running…

Owen is also the only person to give her a gift???
(seriously WTF? No card ,no phone calls from your parents/friends)
They watch movies and he comforts her and things get hot&heavy (apparently they live in an STD free world so they don’t need condoms!)
Yep there you have it an unplanned pregnancy with the two besties.

Anaya goes back to Jakob
And Owen starts dating Lisa
(this is the part where I started not liking Owen)

He never tells Lisa (They’ve been dating for a year and a half) that he got his best friend pregnant/or that the baby is born she finds out the hard way (so sad)
and that he and Anaya have been co-parenting their baby!

The rest of the story ugh is just nog worth mentioning
because you can guess what happens.

I really enjoyed this book. Anaya and Owen have been best friends for twenty years. Anayna is an inspiring dress designer who just can't get anyone to see her vision of her dresses. Owen is a vet as in animal doctor. Owen is single and secretly in love with his best friend. Anaya has been dating her boy friend Jakob since she was in college (8 years). He is older than her controlling and a bit of an a$$hole just to be honest. He makes appointments to meet her and stands her up without calling, One of which was her birthday. They get into a huge fight where she tells him it is over done not taking any more and kicks him out, She calls her best friend and he comes over and one thing leads to another wine and drunken sex and two months later Anaya realizes she is pregnant with Owen's baby. By that time he has finally started dating someone and she has given up on he might want to be with her and gone back to Jakob.

This is their story, It is a sweet story that at times you want to fling your kindle across the room but works on so many levels and so good.

I am a little on the fence about how I feel about this book. It started off really slow because the back story was sooooo drawn out and detailed. Then the voice switched constantly from third/second/first person so I couldn't get connected to the story. There were numerous times throughout that the names of the characters were only referred to as "the designer" or "the vet" distracting.

No respect

Both characters were weak and didn't make any since half the time. Anaya constantly went back to Jacob, for what??? And Owen the dummy who hide a pregnancy and baby from is girlfriend for a year!!??? Where they do that at???

Cute

It was a well thought out story. Sincere to the characters friendship, eventual get together. The happy ever after ending. Worth a read.

It was good

I give it 4 stars instead of 5. Owen and Anaya just didn't communicate their feelings like they should have. I wanted strangle him and her. It was driving me insane.
