I trudged thru initially even though I wasnt thrilled by some of the writing & dialogue. Dnfd at the skinny dipping scene.
Wth goes skinny dipping at a frat party where you just had a horrible sense of foreboding, so much so that you wanted to turn back & run.
You know noone there but a few acquaintances you've met the day before. And you've been targeted by bullies at same party.
Announcing to an entire party of guys you're going skinny dipping & no one but a few girls followed? It was a vague scene but still.

Vampires, witches, an ancient curse and secrets lurking in the shadows. Alicent Calder finds herself calling Veilcrest home, feeling a sense of ease and comfort she starts to settle into a routine she catches the attention of not one but five vampires.
Pryce, Koen, Elias, Bastian and Eryx all feel a sense of familiarity when they first cross paths with Alicent. The familiarity they feel starts to unlock buried secrets clawing its way out from the ground.
As Alicent comes into her powers, the stakes become higher, the bigger the risk the greater the reward and what greater reward than breaking the curse.
“I don’t think I’ll ever feel anything but at fault until they’re free. Even then I don’t think I’ll feel as though I deserve to leave.”
I have favourites, I know I shouldn’t - why choose?! Each MMC brings their own personality and their own abilities. They have a tender sport for Alicent, reserving those parts of themself for the quiet intimate moments.
The chemistry Alicent had with each of the guys burns intense and rapid. The moments span from comfort to need to grounding/anchoring and of course a good “fuck it” moment.

What a ride!
I am still shocked by the ending, so I will say this: I want to read the following book ASAP.
Is this book good? Yes, I really enjoyed reading it. It surprised me,which is always good and there were a couple of things that I didn't see coming. This is a 4.5 Star read for me.
I loved the dedication (You guys stole my heart from the beginning) and the fact that, Students don’t apply, enrollment in inherited, earned or owned which is the setting for an Awesome Dark Academia. I remember that I applied to read the ARC because I thought the story was interesting and it really delivered.
I enjoyed reading about the different Vampire’s personalities and I loved the FMC as well. I loved the first interaction with Pryce. I think it was really beautifully crafted. When you get to finish the book it got you thinking, the web was there and As if I were a fly I fell right into it.
There’s a scene that I will always remember and that’s the Bonfire incident! When she talks to Elias instead of Eryx OMG! I loved that part. I also was confused and when I realized what was happening I told myself this is genius.
Overall this is a really good and entertaining book so if you love Dark Academia and Vampires, with a touch of Magic then this book is for you.

This was a great read for sure! I absolutely loved it and was easily sucked in at the tropes, the micro tropes on the author's posts but then the words. The words made me stay. I thought the authors did a really great job and love how well they did with it.
Twists? I didn't see them coming. I had several shocks, many gasps, some tears.
Now I'd like to state that I'm a HUGE Vampire Diaries fan and I made myself think of this cause it gave me the vibes. Now that I've finished the book I'm not sure who I hate more......the villain of the book or Katherine?
By far the guys are amazing. I can't quite figure out who I love the most and glad it's a WHY CHOOSE. XD Bastian, Elias and Koen though are definitely my favorites. And I'm invested to see what is going to happen with everyone next. Each guy is easily different from the next and all have their own personality for sure. Also each has a different reason to easily obsess over them!
Alicent is intriguing. A misfortune girl. She starts out literally clumsy with a series of unfortunate events, then starts to come to learn the truth about things at Veilcrest. Not only does she have to learn her magic and does but she definitely brings the fire with her! She's got spunk for sure and has no qualms for standing up where....... others probably tend to back down. I cannot wait for the next book because that ending....... did all of that REALLY JUST HAPPEN?
If you're looking for a story that has some Vampire Diaries vibes, imprisoned vampires, witches and ancient bloodlines, secret societies, werewolves, a school that's for more than just top students and hides some secrets (at the minimum 5 secrets), and you like some spice, obsession, feral need........ Then I'd highly recommend this book!

I absolutely love Pryce as a character. From the moment he appeared, he was so welcoming, and plus points because he’s HOT. Honestly, his character alone made me want to keep reading just to see how far his story would go, and now I’m absolutely EATING THIS BOOK UP.
At first, I thought I was going to be perfectly happy with a little high school loverboy situation, but DAMN. By page 100, we had witches, vampires, and even talks about werewolves. Like, I was already interested before, but now I’m FULL BODY INTO THIS BOOK. It just kept getting more and more interesting, and I genuinely could not put it down.
I also really loved the writing and storytelling. The pacing was so good, and having some POVs from the boys worked wonders because I love knowing what they’re thinking while all this chaos is happening. Give me their thoughts, their schemes, their reactions, ALL OF IT.
And one thing I especially love is the suspense of not knowing exactly who is what type of creature. The way it slowly reveals what each of Alicent’s friends actually are had me constantly questioning everyone. I love when a book makes me sit there like “WAIT… WHAT ARE YOU?” 😭

Right off the bat it hooked me, partly because it made me think of a couple other series I read recently and loved. Alicent got accepted into a prestigious college, and her first day does NOT go well. Broken luggage, rain puddles, no idea where to go... enter chivalrous sexy man that helps her get herself and her luggage to her dorm room.
But her troubles don't end there. She ends up in some unknown place, which causes her to miss orientation... and the mandatory blood verification?? Intrigue!
Pryce, Koen, Bastian, and twins 👀 Eryx and Elias basically run the school, and Alicent finds herself in their orbit and things take off from there.
The writing was so easy to follow and it kept me engaged, the pop culture references and some of the idioms the characters used had me chuckling and really relating to them even tho it's a story about vampires and witches and ancient curses. B and Micah did a great job weaving together the then with the now.
The spicy scenes were spicy! And some of them caught me a bit off guard which is always somehow a bonus haha

Revenant is immediately engaging. It grabbed my attention from the start and came at me with mystery, banter, flirtation and the need to know more.
The writing is great, the pacing is spot-on and the characters are interesting. We've got a Dark Academia with witches, vampires, werewolves and humans sharing Veilcrest Academy.
Alicent is an intriguing FMC with a mysterious background and bloodline that makes her one of the most powerful witches alive. But of course, she had no idea and has to learn everything she can about the supernatural world and her family. I love her strength, her banter, and how she uses her power to stand up to those who try to hurt her.
This is a why choose romance with five mysterious men drawn to our girl and each is unique, interesting, flirty, playful and arrogant (some more than others.) I love them all...well, one of them still has to earn my (and Alicent's) affection.
There's so much happening here, from Alicent learning to use and control her magic, to werewolves on the hunt and a curse that needs breaking.
I was fully prepared for a cliffhanger ending. At least I thought it was. WTF was that? I literally have no words. It's not very often a plot twist surprises me, but I didn't see this one coming. And now apparently I need book to immediately.

Koen- The smart quiet one. Those are the ones you always have to be afraid of..😉.
Bastian-The bad boy who is dark, and possessive.
Elias- The good twin who is sweet and sexy.
Eryx-The not as good twin lol.. he is TBD.
How can you not love a Why Choose!
This book has a good storyline, great characters, lots of tension, crazy chemistry and spice 🔥🔥

Revenant hooked me right away, and Pryce had my heart from the beginning. His charm, the way he initially treated Alicent, and yes, the fact that he’s Italian. Mmmm. He felt like someone who had been waiting his whole life for her, and I wanted more of their relationship sooner.
I felt for Alicent as she discovered so much about herself while adjusting to college. That’s a lot to process. Still, she frustrated the hell out of me at times, especially when it felt like she stayed angry with Pryce longer than the others. I understood her feelings, but that difference bothered me.
The pacing was good, the spice absolutely delivered, and wanting to know how they would break the curse kept me turning pages.
And that ending? I did NOT see it coming. I need book two now.

Ohh my goddess!! I mean this I loved this book more than any recent arcs I have read! It was well paced and i was freaking hooked. I especially loved the dark academia vibe, I loved alicent's character and especially how she went from being shy and awkward to being confident! I loved all the mmcs but elias and koen had my heart for most of it I also see some more character development coming for eryx in the next book but my heart couldn't take what you guys did to elias. That was so unfair I mean had this feeling that something was going to wrong but oh my god he was my favourite 😭 I also had my suspicions that it was going to end in a cliffhanger gosh I will be waiting for the next book so badly

I received an eARC and this is my honest review.
I really enjoyed this book but it took a while to get into and then when it gets good you end book one and leaves a major cliffhanger.
The FMC learns right along side the reader which I thought was really cool. I didn’t love all the MMC but that was just because they were slow to let her know what was going on. The whole world was built really well and I can’t wait for the next to see where we go from here.
I highly recommend but just know book 2 isn’t out yet so you have to wait.
I really enjoyed this book but it took a while to get into and then when it gets good you end book one and leaves a major cliffhanger.
The FMC learns right along side the reader which I thought was really cool. I didn’t love all the MMC but that was just because they were slow to let her know what was going on. The whole world was built really well and I can’t wait for the next to see where we go from here.

This book did not disappoint, it was everything I love about the Fantasy genre. Academic setting, great female friendships, great MMC's and FMC, hot vampires, werewolves and witches, with a touch of smut! The writing was great, that second to last chapter did me in, I was not expecting that one and I cannot wait to read book 2. I love a 'why choose' element to a novel as well, so this really did tick most of my boxes...great read!!!

I’m going to go ahead and say it, I think this is one of my FAVORITE reads this year and that’s truly saying something. I absolutely LOVE how this entire book unfolded. That being said - WHEN IS THE NEXT ONE DROPPING? 😅😂 Just kidding, take your time because this is a ✨masterpiece✨ and so I know the next one is well worth the wait.

This isn't a typical read for me, but boy am I glad the blurb caught me!
The story held me captive for many, many entertaining hours!
Why choose with plenty of steam!
I definitely want to read more by this duo! DEFINITELY!

This book was such a pleasant surprise and I'm so glad I went in blind. This is a new author to me and the storytelling and plot was really good. I love all things vampire and fantasy and when you add in why choose, well why not.

Holy shit. That ending was wild. I DID NOT see that coming. They broke the spell but now an even bigger monster is loose... And she... ELIAS!!! 😭

Shut the front freaking door! I already love vampires but then throw in everything thing else and I loved this book. Plus you left me on a cliffhanger…..

Vampires, why choose and dark academia, what more could you ask for? This book was an emotional rollercoaster, lots of twists and turns. Alicent was amazing, she was independent and strong. Pryce, Koen, Elias, Bastian and Eryx each brought something Alicent needed. The chemistry and banter between all of them was fantastic.

The PERFECT fall/spooky book!!! Vampys, college, WHY CHOOSE🤭 this book may be a big girl but it’s seriously a page turner!!! Im a slowww reader but I read this in less than a week. Try listing the men from favorite to least favorite. It’ll be the hardest thing you do because they are allllll chefs kiss💋💋

The way I STILL think about this book almost daily and I beta read it over a month ago. Vampires, why choose, dark academia... need I say more?? The roller coaster of emotions this book put me through was unreal. Do I recommend? I will literally be rereading this the minute it comes out, so you tell me??
