Jax Justice has trust issues. The mark on his eight-pack abs reminds him of it every day.
Abandoned by his mother. Betrayed by his ex. Now seemingly forgotten by the country he fought so hard to honor and protect.
Burned one too many times. There's no more point in trying.
Until her.
Can Jax put his troubled past behind him and learn to trust, and to love, again?
In this small Midwest town everybody knows everything about everybody...or so they thought. What secrets are Kate hiding? Can Jax protect Kate from her stalker and win her heart? Can she win his trust?
What neither one of them counted on was falling for the other. But that might be just what they need. Each other.
***This is a standalone novel with a HEA. No cliffhangers. No profanity. Written by a USMC Veteran.***
Took a chance on this new author after I read she was a military veteran. Was hoping for a good read that was also insightful with a unique perspective and this book definitely delivered!
Devoured this page-turner in one sitting. Interesting and unexpected plot twists kept this fast paced story speeding towards an exciting finale. Author's military background was great in adding just enough interesting small details of military life without getting caught up in military acronyms. I read to escape and enjoy but also like to learn a few new things if it makes sense in the story line. Don't want to stop reading to Google military jargon and didn't have to once with this book.
Sexy SEAL hero. Where can I get one of these? Strong heroine who deserves her hea. Very solid and likeable supporting characters and a great plot with plenty of surprises.
This is a fast paced romance withe plenty of twists and turns. The author's accuracy to the SEAL way of life is very appreciated.
It comes together nicely at the end. I was surprised how the author was going to tie up so many different moving pieces in the storyline, but she delivered. Excellent!
Book started out fast and kept up the pace. Don't want to spoil it, but the way all the global pieces tied together was quite interesting and original.
Realistic to SEAL life, which is important to me as a veteran. Sat down to read before dinner, next thing I knew it was time for bed. Couldn't stop turning pages. Thank you!
