Decent read. Not enough character development for Black for me. I understood how Queen got to be as cold hearted as she was but there were a lot of missing pieces between her getting on with Sugar and being Black's right hand woman. Not sure if I'm going to read the other installments though

it was a good book. Mediocre story, but what strikes it out is three things. One the story line is so typical. It practically the same as three books i can name off the top of my head from Sola, to Sex & Violence, to Keisha and Clyde. Nothing different but the names. Two, the name of the book. Because of the title, i was thinking about the characters in The Devil wear Timbs or the blood in Every bullet Gotta name., this no. ANd three, talk about stupid hypocritical character. I would tell you, but it would spoil the story. I will not be reading two or three.

Well I must say, this book was really good. My Facebook reading group is reading this. At first I was gonna join in and read it, because I don't really do books with murders and killings and drug dealings. But I said what the heck let me go ahead and read it. And I must say, I'm glad I made that choice. The story line moved fast. It had me totally engrossed. I finished the book in one sitting. And I look forward to book 2.

Good short story!!

I really enjoyed this short story. It was fast paced and not drawn out like most books. Queen has been through a lot at such a young age. Her mother is lazy as hell and wrong for not believing her in the first place. Queen was wrong for what she did to Lo, but hey things happen and Lo was always jealous of Queen if you ask me even before that happened. Queen has totally lost her mind. I can't wait to read part 2 and 3.
