Bestselling new adult author Cindy Miles is set to capture the hearts of Stupid Girl fans again with the grand finale of the Stupid in Love series, featuring Memory and Jace.

Memory
Casualties.

That’s how I refer to the guys who’ve had the bad fortune to fall for me. They only see long legs that they wish were wrapped around them, a cat-like smile, and the reckless abandon to take on any wild dare. It’s all a game to me. Show me a bridge, and I’ll leap over the side. Give me a car, and I’ll race it. Give me a heart, and I’ll break it. I always win. I even showed Death who was boss a long time ago.

Or so I thought.

Now, time is running out, and I’m losing fast…and big. I met someone. Jace Beaumont. He’s smart, and good, and I dream about spending days exploring the summit of his perfect lips. But, I’m a grenade. I know I should leave him be. I can’t.

JACE
Study, class, work, repeat. That’s all I have time for. At twenty-five years old, I have a bit more mileage on me than the average college freshman. But, that’s what happens when you spend your youth drinking, partying, and bagging girls like it’s a full-time job. Now, I have goals. There’s just one kink in my plans. Her name is Memory. She’s every guy’s dream girl. She’s intoxicating. She’s trouble. I want to stay away. I can’t.

What a rollercoaster I 've just been on

Memory is 1 lucky girl she as been through a lot at a very young age an she is still goin through a lot now but Memory dosent let past or fortune get in the way she lives life 2 the fullest she does wild things an as a bit on a party girl rep but like I said she as been through it 1 day she mite not b here 2 do al this stuff she as an amazingly of friends an she luvs them so much her dad works away an her mum passed away when she was younger she dead in a car accident but as a great relationship with her dad an she knows how 2 take care of herself but things a getting hard again 4 Memory but she just pushes it away there is only so long she can do that but when Jace turns up so what a bit of that he is gorgeous an super sexy

Jace pretty much keeps 2 himself goes 2 college an then goes 2 the garage an doesn't finish 2 till late an then as a tow job as well so he is super busy he as a really close family an luvs them so much when he bumps into Memory she is this wild girl with a rep an wants not him 2 do with her but there is something push him 2 her an she doesn't take no 4 an answer when she wants something she takes it but Jace did have plans 2 find a girl he was plannin on doin his work an then he could do what he want an that was become a Ranger just lime his grandfather an his godfather Jasper but Memory was like a hurricane coming into his life an she would turn it upside down

This story is so good I was so upset in part Memory as been through so much an I understand that she doesn't want 2 till the people she luvs about her past she wants 2 b strong an known 4 what she as doin I luv her character so much an Jace is just so luvin the way she is with him is so funny in time the banter they have an the way she pursue him is great it's weird havin the girl pursue the boy but that's what made this book so good the subject of the book was a lil 4 me in parts but it was written really well I enjoyed every page I read I 've read the other books in this series an there good but they can b read as standalone I recommend them al xxx

08/16/2015 --

I seriously love this author. I found her quite by surprise on NG. Loved the cover of one of her books. Read the blurb and was sold. Instantly. Sometimes it works the way they hope. Saying all this, Stupid Love is a bit of a conundrum for me to review. I liked it, but felt it a bit cliche' in one aspect, but hard to relate to in another. The very def of conundrum.

So, what did I like about this one?
1 -- This first will be a plus/minus for me. The characters. I think this author does a really good job of giving us great characters. She doesn't normally leave much out. She gives us all the minute details as to immerse us in these characters .. normally. She does this in such a way as to not be tedious too. Jace is just a dream come true. He is what every mom wants for her daughter. The whole package. Memory is memorable -- more on her later.

2 -- The story itself is a good one. It is a bit overdone, but this writer brings a freshness to it that you don't really mind you've read it a few times before over the years.

3 -- The secondary characters. I enjoyed Jasper quite a bit. I enjoyed reading about the interactions with Memory. Again .. memorable.

Okay, now for a few things that didn't work for me.
1 -- Memory's name. I HATED it. Hated it. Just hated it. Stupid to the Nth degree .. for me anyway. Just HATED it. Plus, we never get any story for it. Not normal. Can be confusing and no background on it at all.

2 -- I can't put my finger on it, but there was just something that kept me from really enjoying this book. I think it was the flow of it. Not sure, but something. I know this isn't incredibly helpful, but so what .. can't do any better. It could be just me.

3 -- The whole Dear Diary thing just bugged me.

4 -- I liked the covers for the other books in this series, but really don't like this cover. Again with the cliche', but you it is. It looks like 10 other YA/NA covers out there. The blurb doesn't do it for me either. If I weren't so enamored of this author, I may have just breezed over this one. So, the marketing kitsch doesn't work so well for this one.

I did like this book, but it isn't my fav of the series. I think that'd go to the first in the series; Stupid Girl. I'm glad I read it and I'll read others by this author and in this series, if more come my way.

Happy Reading!!

First Impression

"It’s all a game to me. Show me a bridge, and I’ll leap over the side. Give me a car, and I’ll race it. Give me a heart, and I’ll break it. I always win. I even showed Death who was boss a long time ago."

You have my attention. Keep it.

"I guess I’ll start from the night I met The One Who Fucked Up My Life Thus Far. Also known as the night I almost threw up on Jace Beaumont’s boots…"

Two pages in . . . hmmm, I like the sound of this.

Overall Impression

Right off the bat, Memory Thibodeaux was someone I found obnoxious and rowdy. However, there’s no denying she walks the talk and puts the money where her mouth is. What’s more? She doesn’t have a filter on her mouth. She was blunt and outspoken and I gotta appreciate that about a woman who speaks her mind and knows what she wants. And if you haven’t been clued in yet . . . she wants Jace Beumont badly, the one man who wants nothing to do with her, but the woman is persistent and he’ll soon give into the chase.

To me, the characters were understandable and well-written out. But were they interesting? No. I appreciated the slow burn of the romance, but I would be lying if I said I enjoyed their chemistry. I almost DNF this book many times because I couldn’t get into the whole sob-story and the main characters’ interactions. And yeah, I know I sound mocking when I say “sob-story,” but I’m serious.

I’ll repeat what I said in another review: “You can create me a character with problems, past or ongoing, but it doesn’t mean I’ll stay to care when I’m not emotionally invested in the story.” As a reader, I feel like I should gain something from reading a book. The book doesn’t have to be a dramatic life-changer that has me contemplating every decision in my life, but it should at least leave an impression on me, especially a book that deals with a troubling subject such as in Stupid Love. However, Stupid Love will come and go like the others.

One thing that stood out to me was that this book was connected to others, don't get me wrong its a stand alone but there a moments you can just tell that by how some of the character/friends are mentioned.I just managed to jump right into the third book. After how this book turned out I'll be sure to check out he previous books.

Memory is a girl who is a bit of a daredevil, after all life is short. She would know she was diagnosed with a childhood cancer that she managed to defeat. Or so she thought. She refuses to let her friends or anyone one who is close to her know, she refuses to be the sick girl everyone treats like a fragile thing. After she first met Jace it was hard to let that boy out of her mind, when she met him a second time she knew she had to work her charm on this uptight guy. Things get complicated once she realizes that her symptoms are getting worse meanwhile she is continuing this thing with Jace and not letting her friends know.

" Conscience is a funny thing, though. It raises its ugly ass head at the damnedest of times and with no regard as to whether you want it to or not."

I loved this book. To me it was like watching a ticking time bomb wondering when something would happen and wondering how everything would turn out. I loved how caring and supportive her father was. I loved watching the relationship between her and Jace. I loved how supportive her friends where. I just really loved this story and look forward to seeing the previous books with how great this book turned out. Overall I highly recommend you lovely readers to check out this book.

Stupid Love is the 3rd book in Cindy Miles Stupid in Love Series. This is an enjoyable read but not my favorite of the series. To me this book was very different from the other two books in this series. The one thing all three books have in common is that it is based around college aged characters.

One thing I really enjoyed was that we got to see Olivia and Brax a lot in this book. Now I am sure that is because Jace Beaumont is Olivia's older brother and all these characters go to Winston. I liked seeing what was happening with Olivia and Brax while following Jace and Memory's story.

Why this book is different was because it wasn't based off a "dare" like books 1 & 2 were. This was truly a book about opposites attract and not judging a book by it's cover. In this book we meet Jace and Memory. Jace is a 25 year old man going back to college to get some direction in his life. He is past all parties and just getting by. He is buckling down and going after a degree in Criminal Justice. So when he meets Memory for the first time at a concert and she seems to be drunk, he vows to stay away and not get involved with her. Labeling her the "Party Girl" Well as we all know things aren't always what they seem. Memory is a 22 year old girl who is living life to it's fullest. When Memory was 7 years old she was diagnosed with a brain tumor and luckily out witted death and pulled through. Now nearing the end of her college career, she is getting headaches again and has found out the tumor has come back. She decides to keep her secret and just live life likes it's her last. What she wasn't expecting was to meet Jace. Over the course of the book Jace and Memory forge a friendship and then progress to more. Will Memory tell Jace the truth about her health and if she does How do you think he will react?? You'll have to read the book to find out.

What I think didn't work for me with this book was that we know about Memory's health issues from the beginning of the book and what happens at around 80% of the book, is what I would've liked to see sooner. I think either the health scare should've happened sooner in the story or we as the reader should've been kept in the dark longer and had it be a secret to everyone. I know this probably isn't making much sense, but you'll understand more when you read the book.

I did like all the new characters that were introduced in this book. Memory had such a great group of friends. And Jasper was amazing!!! Once you meet him you can't help but fall in love with him.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a NA book based in a college setting. This book will have you emotions all over the place. One minute you will be laughing but then the next you could be crying. I loved the overall theme and message of this story and not judging people, because you never really know what is happening on the inside until you get to know someone.

I really loved this book!! I loved Memory and how full of life she was! I thought she was hilarious, and I loved her sense of humor. She is a very unique character and I loved everything about her. Then there is Jace...mmmm... Yummy Jace! I really liked that their relationship was a slow build. He wanted nothing to do with her! Usually it's the other way around! But Memory is a very persistent lady for sure and she broke him down. I hated that she was lying to Jace and all her friends about her health, but I also understood why she did it. She wanted to take life by the horns and just live and enjoy everything! I feel like maybe my only real critique is that there was no epilogue. I like to know that the happily ever after continues for the characters I love. I want to know that they have a nice, long, healthy lives together, especially with a situation like Memory's. I do also suggest you keep tissues nearby, there were some pretty teary, snotty moments for me, but it ended with a smile! Love this couple!

“So, you want to know who I really am?” I asked Jace as I rose to my feet on Morgan’s Bridge. The sun was gone now, but still light enough to see. Almost dark, but not quite. “Why? Have you heard rumors? Wait! Don’t answer that,” I continued. “You’re pals with Brax Jenkins. Since he’s the king of bad reputation, I’m sure he can single out badasses just as easily.” I winked at him. “Takes one to know one, right?”

Jace laughed softly. “Yeah, he said you’re known for some pretty crazy stunts on campus. A player. Adrenaline junkie.”

“Hmmm,” I answered. “I guess I’d be lying if I didn’t lay claim to all of those accusations. What can I say? I love to live life to the fullest.” I cupped my hands at my mouth. “I’m young! I’m twenty-two!” My voice echoed over the water and through the trees. I squatted down and shot him a lingering look. “I just simply don’t allow all of that to define me. You see,” I went on, wrapping my arms around my legs and hugging them close. With my chin resting against my knees, I looked at him. “There are many more facets to my psyche than I ever, ever let on. You know? Keeps me in a sort of shady shroud of mystery.”

“A shady shroud, huh?” he repeated, and chuckled. “What are you majoring in?”

“Fine arts,” I answered, and sat close to him. “BFA.”

“And what will you do with that?” he asked.

“I’m a self-proclaimed ornamental metalwork designer,” I told him. “And that’s pre-degree, yes sir. Got a business license and everything.” I flashed him a grin. “Calypso Designs. I make a pretty decent coin with the whirlygigs and windcatchers I create in the workshop by the barn. Any sort of crazy welded metal art statue I can dream up. Calypso Designs, Inc. Google me, why don’t ya?”

Jace just kept his eyes on me, and in the faded light they hardly looked green at all. More like shadows in the mouth of a cave. “Any siblings?”

“Nope. Only child.”

He nodded again. “You’re close to your dad?”

I smiled. “Very. He raised me alone after Mom died. Taught me about brazing rods, oxyacetylene, how to set up the fuel tanks. Taught me how to strike a torch, how not to look directly at an arc flash. Taught me…everything I know.” I felt my heart pinch, because I loved my dad more than anything. “He’s a damn good man, Jace Beaumont.”

His teeth were a ghostly white in the dusk. “I believe you, Memory Thibodeaux.”

“Okay.” I changed gears from the serious stuff. “Here’s the final chapter of tonight’s grand Thank You For Changing My Belt Date. Then we’ll have dessert. Ready?”

Jace laughed. “Yeah, why not. Shoot.”

I could barely see his features now. “Remember how I said this bridge was haunted?”

“Yep.”

“Well,” I continued. “The legend goes that back in 1923, Madigan Morgan and Company—not to be confused with the Morgans of the Morgan’s Louisiana and Texas Railroad—was commissioned to build this trestle for the Southern Pacific Railroad. Anyway, Madigan Morgan was rumored to have had a love affair with a beautiful, beguiling witchdoctor who lived in the woods, just there”—I pointed toward the forest on the other side of the river—“named Gilly from New Orleans. Right behind his wife Adelaide’s back. Well, the construction of the trestle was finally finished, but not before Adelaide Morgan found out about the affair.” I leaned closer. “It’s rumored she gathered her three brothers and went after Gilly the witch one moonlit night.” I glanced up. “Much like tonight, yeah.” I wiggled my brows.

Jace watched me closely and in silence, and although it had grown fairly dark I could still make out the amused expression pulling smile lines around his eyes and mouth. He smelled good. A faint, woodsy, clean smell. Like pine needles, with a ting of ocean spray, if I had to put a name to it. I continued.

“Well Madigan Morgan was supposedly to have scheduled a rendezvous with Gilly right here where we sit, that very night, in the center of the trestle,” I said softly. “Gilly was a raven-haired French-Acadian Cajun, you see, and had the sensual power to make a man do just about anything. And he’d fallen hard and fast for her. Anyway,” I said with a grin, and I looked out over the moon that had slowly risen, and watched the water lap at the bank’s edges. “When Madigan arrived for the rendezvous, it was just in time to see his wife and brothers-in-law binding Gilly’s hands with rope. He started to run up the hill to stop them, but could hear Gilly’s voice. She wasn’t pleading for her life. Wasn’t begging for them to let her go.” I reached slowly between the boards beneath me until my hand felt the heavy-duty nylon rope I’d placed there myself back in October when Crisco and I had bungee jumped off the bridge. Eased my hand through the slipknot and grasped it tight, all the while, keeping my gaze on Jace’s. “She was cursing them, Jace Beaumont,” I said huskily. “Just before they shoved her off the bridge!”

Over the edge I went, just as though I’d been pushed by Gilly herself, and as soon as I cleared the boards I grasped the rope with my other hand and hung there, mid-air, just beneath the trestle.

And at the same time, Jace leapt to his feet.

“Memory!” he yelled. “Fuck! Memory!”

Hanging beneath the very place he stood, I burst out laughing. “Do you kiss your mama with that mouth, boy?”

In a flash, Jace was on his stomach and peering over the edge of the trestle at me, swinging on my rope.

“Boy, you look pissed!” I exclaimed, laughing. “I didn’t know you could move so fast—Jace!”

The moment I swung within his reach he grabbed me, and let me say that although he was muscular, he was way stronger than I’d suspected. He pulled me up and over the trestle, and I barely helped. He did it that fast. And he all but plunked me down onto the track.

Jace pushed off and stood, clasping his fingers behind his neck. “Jesus God, Memory!” He turned to me then, and I could see fury in the shadows of his eyes. “Don’t you ever fucking do that again.” He moved toward me where I was still sitting on the track, and hauled me up. His fingers encircled my arms, and he gave me a slight shake, and we were almost nose-to-nose. A muscle flinched at his stubbled jaw, and his dark brows were furrowed. His eyes flashed. “Do you have a death wish? Or are you just crazy?”

The irony of his words almost made me laugh. At the same time, though, I was touched. I was used to being egged on. Used to being dared.

I was not used to Jace’s reaction.

I didn't realize this was the last book of the series but it was pretty good. I was damn near crying by the end!!

It was fast and an easy read, and Memory's character is unlike any fmc I've read. With her louisiana accent and her boldness. It was refreshing to see a bold, and I mean BOLD fmc. I wish there were more parts of Jace's perspective, since I feel like we only got to see his POV when something happened with Memory.

Memory Thibodeaux is known as the town's daredevil. She displays a new kind of what so many people would call reckless behaviour, but this is due to the fact that Memory is a cancer survivor and hell-bent on living every day as if it were the last - no regrets.

Jace Beaumont has no time for the likes of Memory. In fact, the two of them seem to be polar opposites. But she has her eyes set on him, and is serious about trying to break through his shell - just for the heck of it. Until it turns out that he is all she can think about, when in the immediate term, a boy shouldn't be at her top priority list...

What I loved about this book:

The male main character
The humour
The skill- and colourful writing

What I felt needed improvement:

The book's ending

Stupid Love , which is Book #3 of a series I had never read before, but that was alright since the book can be read as a standalone. I must say that at first (let's say the first 3-4 chapters) I really had difficulties warming up to the writing style, and maybe also to the characters. Memory felt like a reckless daredevil and party girl, while Jace sounded like a kill-joy with a stick up his bottom. Then again that's what it was meant to be, because both characters have the same impression of each other the first time they meet, when really these impressions are just dead wrong.
"The problem with cheating Death once, though, is that I got too comfortable... and too cocky. I fancied myself a superhero."

And after a couple of chapters, I fell in love with the writing. Everything felt so alive and detailed, because the author put utmost care into crafting an environment (locations, side characters and events) that fit the main story to a T. I felt like I was reading a book in full technicolor.

Inevitably, this story revolves around cancer, or at least around its consequences. It's a recurring theme made even more popular by the likes of The Fault In Our Stars. But Stupid Loves deals with it in a different way, so it breathes a bit of fresh air into this story. And it was done in a very relatable way.

"Quality of life is far more important than quantity, if I have to make a choice."

I also liked the fact that the characters and their actions felt very real, and that despite the heavy subject, the book still manages to be full of humour. I loved how Jace and Memory's relationship evolved and just how sweet it was. Just blissful. They were the perfect couple, and had so many things in common. I guess Jace is also my new favorite book boyfriend because he is funny, likes rock music, and is a true gentleman. On that note, Memory sometimes irked me, because it felt like she wanted to make herself special and unique every possible way (from her accent and lingo to her reckless behaviour) - but I could close an eye on that.

The book does have a happy ending in the immediate term (although quite cheesy, which was a turn off), but I have to say it wasn't enough for me. I would have loved the epilogue to be more remote in the future. Just because I don't like the unknown. But then again the morale of the book is quite clear where that is concerned: nothing is ever for sure, and thinking about the day when your time will come is time wasted that could have been spent enjoying life.

The series that literally gets worse with each novel. And I cannot stop reading it.

STUPID LOVE by Cindy Miles is the 3rd installment in the Stupid in Love series that follows the same group of students in university. But with each installment of the series, I find my patience dwindling and the content less than appeasing. Le sigh.

RELEASE DATE: September 2015

PUBLISHER: TKA Distribution

SYNOPSIS: MEMORY

I can’t.

REVIEW: I akin this novel to the latest season of True Detective - you are unhappily committed to something you hate.

Memory is a rebel - attitude, courage, and a mouth to spare, she's the talk of Winston University. Jace, on the other hand, is the sweetheart mechanic working towards becoming a Texas Ranger. Polar opposites in every which way, it isn't until one night where their paths cross that cause them to be on each other's minds permanently. Falling head first into a relationship isn't something either of them way - Jace is hardworking and determined, while Memory is flighty and casual. While their relationship intensifies, Memory harbours a secret ... will her new found relationship with Jace survive her lies?

This review is coming in list form - get ready!

THE GOOD
- I'm first to admit: I'm unhappily addicted to this series. I don't know
what it is but every time I see a new novel released my mind goes "MUST.
READ".
- The inclusion of the characters from the first two novels is a nice touch.
You get to see what happens to them after the conclusion of their
respective novels, which always as a bonus closure moment for the reader.

THE BAD
- The main character's name is Memory. Stupid. No justification for such a
stupid name either.
- I hate the main character of Memory. HATE. She's obnoxious. She's rude. I
absolutely loathe her character development. She's written as being this
bad ass and rarity in women because she loves Aerosmith, old time movies,
and has a tattoo sleeve. NEWS FLASH: these character traits are present in
80% of the population, meaning that you aren't such a rare flower. I hated
everything about her - especially the way she spoke to people. Just irked
me.
- The amount of times Jace said "I can't take my mind off of you" or "You're
one of a kind" or something to that caliber. If I had a dollar for
everytime it's repeated in this novel, I'd have more money then what the
book cost. It's literally repeated once a chapter.
- Again, with the instant love. I'm not entirely sure this exists.
- The overprotective boyfriend is present in EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. of these
novels. The boyfriend who resorts to violence to protect you is at the
centre of all the main male characters. It's just so ... annoying and
unrealistic.
- The secondary characters of Memory's friends. Hated them all.

I'm reading all these reviews on here that say Memory is an inspiration and this book is just a must-read and I don't understand it. I promise you, from the bottom of my heart, that there are better love and inspirational stories out there.

Please take a look.

In the same breath ... I know I'll read the next one if there is one. Unhappily committed.

Since cheating almost certain death as a child, Memory has been doing nothing but living every moment and getting everything she can out of life. Refusing to be seen as anything but the girl she is now, she's kept the illness of her past a secret from everyone and instead become the life of every party. But when the cancer returns, she's not ready to fight it, not ready to let go of the life she's embraced and deal with the treatments and sickness and looks of pity. And she's certainly not ready to fall in love with a man who makes her want every bit of a future that isn't guaranteed.

But... The editing, or lack thereof, hasn't improved with book three. Most noticeably, the author or editor or proofreader or whoever is responsible has no access to spellcheck, any English dictionary published after the early 1600s, or Google. That's really the only logical explanation for the continued use kookoo — which isn't even a word!!! –rather than the actual word of cuckoo. It's a common bird named for the sound it makes, and for the past 97 years, it's been American slang word for crazy. Which is kind of how I feel having had to read past it again.

Judging Covers: The cover's certainly pretty, and it probably would have caught my eye anyway, but I can't quite figure it out. I think I was expecting something more in line with the covers of the previous books. Why'd it go from people in fields (totally Texas) to some girl underwater?

The Verdict: While Stupid Love gives us more glimpses at the couples we fell in love with in the previous books, this story is a bit of a departure from what I assumed was the norm for this series. Whereas the previous stories revolved heavily around college life, Jace and Memory's journey seems to use college as an accessory, not a major setting or part of the plot.

Memory is the girl who beat the odds, surviving a type of cancer that spares few, and ever since then, she's been all about living life to the fullest. She's the daredevil, the one who always speaks her mind, the girl who finds joy in every breath and brings excitement to everything she does. But no one knows about her past battles, and she prefers to keep it that way, not wanting anyone to look at her with pity or treat her differently. And that's especially true now that the cancer is back.

Jace does his best to resist his attraction to the girl he assumes is like every other girl on campus. He first sees her when she's ready to puke up her guts at a party, and the next time he sees her, she turns the flirt on full blast. As far as he's concerned, there's nothing special about her at all. But then they keep running into each other, and he sees more and more about her that's beyond intriguing. Before he knows it, he can't get her out of his head, and despite his reservations, he's falling hard.

The major conflict of the story isn't silly campus hijinks or the usual college student drama, and it's not some past trauma coming back to ; it's Memory's avoidance of the truth of her illness, the tumor growing in her brain that she's terrified of giving into, and the surgery and treatment she doesn't want because it might be more devastating than death. But falling in love with Jace was not in her plans, and the aggressive cancer is catching up to her, forcing her to face her fears and her love and everyone she's kept it secret from.

While the logical part of me wanted to slap Memory silly and force her into telling everyone the truth, scheduling the surgery, and dealing with the awful reality of her situation, it was impossible not to understand her denial. Inside her chaotic mind, it seemed that even the simple act of admitting she was in danger was giving up on the life she tried so hard to achieve, and one can hardly blame her for trying to reach her goals despite the odds against her. Fortunately, this is romantic fiction, so despite the pretty terrifying circumstances Memory faced, things all worked out in the end. Stupid Love is an emotional look at the choices one makes when faced with the possibility of no future at all, and the profound impact falling in love can have on facing our worst fears.

Cindy Mile’s stupid love series has been wonderful to this point and here we see another fun sweet and amazing addition to this series. You will definitely have all kinds of feels here.

Memory is a great girl but she is as the book says stupid when it comes to love. Love of friends and love of a guy. She is a walking miracle and has decided that since she has skated death her life will be led to its fullest and most reckless abandon. She isn’t afraid to try anything daring like skydiving, bungee jumping. Life for her isn’t to be serious but meant to be more of a wonderful world in wonderland. She has a amazing caring understanding dad, fun great friends and to her this is all she needs. Until Jace....

Jace is not your typical college student. He has already done the party scene and is now ready to buckle down and get a future together. He is sexy, sweet, kind, caring and compassionate. he also at first takes Memory as being a party girl for this is the image she portrays. No matter his attraction he wants nothing to do with her. Unfortunately though attraction tends to rule out and he gives in. when he does we get so many wonderful and fun surprises as him and Memory find their way to each other through seeing each others lives and talking to one another.

I have to say ladies the nights in the field at Jasper’s swoon swoon. And the dates Jace plans are just take your breath away. Even when you don’t think they are romantic they are. The movie in the park oh gosh that was seriously Mr. Darcy move over because you have nothing on Jace swoony. He is considerate and thoughtful in his planning of outing with Memory. He has them be around things that make her happy. Some items from her bucket list are looked at and crossed off and also moments just to see her smile are created. He is total swoonworthy and totally a book boyfriend of all book boyfriends.

Unfortunately Memory has kept things from him and her friends. Things that for the man who is in love with her should have been told before she ends up scaring the beejezzus out of him. When he finds out it isn’t the content of the truth that has him angry it is that she kept it from him and it is also that she pushed him away at first and didn’t give a explanation as to why. She just let him go and crushed him. That was one of the moments I wanted to smack her for. She made decisions for him and her friends without giving them a chance. And with Jace she pushes him away and walks away and than when he demands the answer as to why she doesn’t exactly like how he reacted. Well Hello Memory that is a lot to take in and you did not trust him or his love for you. Of course he is angry. He needs to process. Once he does though again he has us swooning because he becomes so supportive, loving and adorable. He is there for her as are her friends no matter what. He lends her strength and courage and no matter what doesn’t leave but just shows her more love.

A moving beautiful and yet fun spirited story of love and finding the one to complete you. Of not judging a book by it’s cover and getting to know the person before passing judgement. About trusting those around you who love and care for you even if you are afraid of their reaction but trust them to be there. A story that will have you swoon at the romance, cry at the circumstances, smile at the adventures and lightness of Memory and find a amazing book boyfriend in Jace. A story with a heavy element weighing Memory down but the book is still uplifting and sweet. Even with the heavy element we are treated to a fun loving story of two people not looking for love and finding it with each other.

Stupid Love by Cindy Miles is the third book in the outstanding New Adult series, Stupid In Love. This book once again revisits the crew at Winston University and introduces the readers to a new group of college friends. In Stupid Love, the old cast of characters will make appearances throughout the book. It's like homecoming in a more mature setting.

Memory Thibodeaux is the campus wild girl. She's known for her daring antics, carefree spirit, and party girl reputation. She dates frequently but never settles with one guy. She is the equivalent of a player without being a whore. Her mantra is to live life to the fullest every day. She has this mantra for good reason. She has flirted with death in her early years and won the round. She knows death can come knocking at any time without an invitation or reason. She is determined to experience everything life has to offer before death chases her down once again. She's not so sure she win the next round.

When she meets the sexy tow truck driver one late night after a round of wild partying, things begin to look differently. She has finally met a guy that sparks her interest on every level. As she gets to know Jace Beaumont (Olivia Beaumont's older brother from book one), she wants more than fun and games. She wants that forever kind of love.

Jace Beaumont is older than most of the students at Winston University. He spent his early adult years living loose and carefree. His partying days are over. It's time to buckle down and get serious about his life. He doesn't have time for wild parties and college fun. When he meets Memory Thibodeaux, he knows she is not the girl for him. He doesn't need her kind of wildness in his life. The more he tries to avoid her, the more persistent she becomes. When he finally lets his guard down she is going to take his heart by storm. He is falling head over heels in love.

Jace and Memory find that once in a lifetime kind of love. It's everything that both of them never thought they needed. They couldn't be happier but... Memory has a demon chasing her. Jace can't be the knight in shining armor to save her. Death has come knocking at the door once again. It's up to them how they live their lives. They will love to the fullest and live every moment like it is the last.

Cindy Miles wrote a powerful emotional story. I laughed and cried. I could not put this book down.

I highly recommend Stupid Love by Cindy Miles. It can be read as a stand alone novel and does not have to be read in series order.

"We are who are, Memory Thibodeaux," he said. "Because of who we've been."

This book is so cute! Another fantastic one by Cindy Miles. I liked Stupid Love, not love like Stupid Girl and Stupid Boy, but still! This series is awesome, though I have to say that Stupid Girl is my ultimate favorite. To be honest, I almost didn't read this book. I had hesitations at first because I am trying to avoid books with sick a hero or heroine. Regardless of the ending, whether it is a happy one or not, I end up bawling my eyes out. And there are times when I don't want to have such a heavy and deep feeling. But thank God I did! I really couldn't let this one slip because of the wonderful reading experience I had with Stupid Girl and Stupid Boy.

Jace and Memory were very like-able characters. Memory is such a daredevil. It was shown how she really wants to live life to the fullest, considering that her time is limited. But even if she did a lot of things that could make you speechless, she still though of what the people she loves would feel. She didn't use the "I only have a few to live and I am gonna do whatever the hell I want" excuse. She remained hopeful and full of life even until the end. In this book, I liked Jace the most. He is so sweet and dreamy. Sigh. And I loved how he didn't leave Memory's side despite the pain he felt from Memory's secret. He had so much faith in Memory and Memory didn't disappoint. She proved how strong she is. I felt Jace and Memory's chemistry from the very beginning.

I also liked the fact that I got glimpses of Brax and Olivia and Kane and Harper. Such great couples, those two!

Well, Miss Cindy Miles, you did a really really great job! I am not sure if this is the last installment in the series but I want to say thank you for publishing such amazing books. I can't wait to read more of your future works and I highly recommend this book and series to all NA romance readers out there!

Each book in this series is unique in its own way, and I must say that, at the moment, this one has taken a bigger piece of my heart. Ms. Miles certainly has a way of hooking you in and once you've been caught, keeping you there until the end!

While reading Jace and Memory's story, I realized why they say don't judge a book by its cover, especially when you don't have all the facts. And I'm pretty sure Jace realized that too. Memory, on the other hand, didn't correct him but instead was persistent in drawing out the real Jace before it was too late for her.

One of the many things I loved about their story was how Memory took the situation by the horns and pursued Jace full-force. And my goodness, what a race it was! Jace was not only a gentleman but a hard man to read, yet no one's ever resisted Memory—and she was going to make sure Jace fell into that pile, so to say.

The interaction between Jace and Memory was simply hilarious yet so beautiful.... you have to read it to see. There is some drama, fun times, miscommunication and heartache, along with love, lots of love. Now, as I got closer to finishing, I kept getting scared because, to be honest, I wasn't sure how it was going to end. Needless to say, good job, Ms. Miles, for making me hold on right to the last page. I can't wait to see what else Ms. Miles has up her sleeve. ~ Kara, 5 Beautiful stars

I received a copy of this book from Xpresso Book Tours in exchange for an honest review and as part of the book's blog tour promotions.

I read the first two books in this series. I wasn't really that big of a fan. Probabl because the YA/NA genre isn't really my top choice. However, every once in a while, I try out authors whose books get good reviews. That's why I started out with this series. I liked the first two books because the main characters were young and believable. The stories were typical of young love, and those are usually always the sweetest kind.

Stupid Love was a bit more dramatic because of the sobs stories of the main characters. I liked the heroine because she was kind of your typical liberated schoolgirl. She knew what she wanted, and she worked on getting those. She was also strong for someone in her situation. I also liked the hero because it's refreshing to read a male main character written like he was. Usually, it's always the heroines who are serious, smart, and different.

All in all, though, it wasn't as stellar as I would have hoped. It is still enjoyable and is a good read. I just think there are many other NA/YA novels that had a better mix of drama and angst than this one.

Yet another 5 Star book by Author Cindy Miles!

ARC kindly provided by publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely love the Stupid in Love Series, and this book is no exception! Amazing read! I couldn't put this book down, and simply dove in and completely devoured it in less than 12 hours....seriously!!

I am in love with Jace! Seriously, the guy is beyond perfect....Charming, respectful, honest, and Sexy as sin! This guys was charming the pants off of ME...lol! I also really liked Memory. She is full of spunk, sassy, strong, caring, talented, and has no filter (which, btw is hilarious at times). I was literally laughing out loud to some of the things that would blurt out of her mouth. She is going through some serious struggles though, but tries to hide it from everyone in her life by living life to the fullest.

I don't want to go into great detail, because I don't want to give to much away, but have your box of tissues ready. This book is quite the emotional roller coaster towards the end.

Make sure to get this book! You will not be disappointed. Thanks again for the ARC!

I've fallen in love with a girl whose future is completely undecided.

The premise of this book was slightly more interesting than its predecessor. Mainly because I'm a sucker for a love story with angst. I've mostly seen or read 'bad boys x good girls' but I like how this got out of the ordinary and presented us with the 'wild girl x retired party boy.'

This whole book sent me off to a wild roller coaster ride. It has, obviously, ups and downs, but, ultimately, this book rendered me mind-blown and speechless at the same time. I love how this book covered a whole lot more than the original love story.

Overall, it was a very awesome and enjoyable read. I'd like to add initial reaction to this book: I liked this book so damn much.

I read Stupid Girl right before this one just so that's would have a general idea as to what the environment was like, and I enjoyed it for the most part. So then I went into this book expecting to have the same feelings as I did with Stupid Girl, but I was sadly mistaken.

This book, was pretty much a role reversal of Stupid Girl. The author literally used an exact line from Stupid Girl and used it in the same way it was used in SG (but this time said by a different character to a different character). I also had no connection with any of the characters, they were just kinda there and had to really push myself to get through this.

I'd recommend reading Stupid Girl instead.

Memory, this girl had me rolling of how funny she was. She would speak her mind and not be sorry for it. She is full of life and doesn’t let the drama bring her down. Their is a big BUT, she could be a bit childish and annoying. Even though she was dealing with some issues she prevailed on.

Jake is the perfect gentleman what girl wouldn’t fall for him seriously. He is so swoon worthy, charming and oh so sexy, oh and did I mention he is a mechanic he is the perfect package.

This book will bring out the feels you’ve been warned. I liked this book, also the characters for the most part were okay sometimes they seem a bit lacking in the umph department. Don’t get me wrong they were beautifully written.

This book was better than expected. I loved Memory's personality! She was so full of life and laughter and she just kept pushing through even though the odds were against her. Then there's Jace...such a southern gentleman...

This is the New Adultiest book I’ve read in a while. I give it credit for sucking me into a world of college seniors, with their hanging out at bars, bungee jumping, group breakfasts, detailed outfits, and cutesy nicknames. And I fully admit that it made me feel old. But this isn’t about me!

Memory Thibodeaux survived a brain tumor when she was young, and since then she’s been living life to the fullest. She’s a Cajun girl, and I could hear her accent so strongly. The author didn’t write “sounds like” dialect, she got the point across with Memory’s cadence of speech and occasional smattering of French Creole. Memory has a group of friends who have been together since their freshman year at a college in Texas, and they know her as the party girl, always up for a dare, or a sexy guy.

Jace Beaumont is a nice Texas boy who got a late start at college because he spent too much time partying in his “younger” days. He’s a mechanic, and a tow truck driver, and he can also cook and fly airplanes. All handy things. He doesn’t care for Memory or her friends when they first meet because they are drunk and having fun, and he is serious and over it. But somehow, Memory sticks in his craw, and she keeps showing up, and she’s kind of like a tornado that just sweeps him up for the ride.

Their romance is slow, and very youthful. They have picnics, they listen to each other’s playlists, they see movies in the park, they laugh. Memory thinks of it as the Cupcake Phase, “when everything was fresh and new and delicious and gooey and cute and He Couldn’t Do Anything Wrong because Everything He Did Was Absolutely Adorable.” She’s not looking for serious, anyway, because she may or may not have a recurring brain tumor that may or may not kill her. Jace doesn’t want to be tied down, either, because he wants to be a Texas Ranger. But they text each other a lot, and take selfies, and continue dating.

One theme I notice in New Adult books is characters choosing their own family. Memory’s mother died when she was young. Her father is around, but he takes long-term jobs on oil rigs, leaving her alone much of the time. So her friends become her family. With her near-death experience, Memory has a lot of perspective. She seems to be the only one of her friends realizing that their “carefree college days of hanging out” are about to end, and she’s worried about it.

Another characteristic of the genre is the clothing. I felt like the author spent a lot of time describing the outfits of Memory and all of her friends, as if there’s a Pinterest board titled “College students of the south” and she was checking off various layers of clothes. Maybe I really only care about clothing when it’s historical, with embroidered dresses and tight breeches and all that. A “red and blue plaid long-sleeved shirt over a navy tank, jeans and Converse,” and a “navy thermal Henley with a dark green long-sleeved tee underneath” don’t really excite me. Again, I’m old.

Despite the possible brain tumor, this book was not full of angst and weeping, which was nice. It has a boy and girl falling in love, surrounded by nice people. It has Southern culture, a lot of eighties movie references (because of course Memory’s a fan), and eventually some not-very-explicit sex.

This is the third in a series that I haven’t read. There are a few references to past events, and some visits with happy couples, but I didn’t feel lost. I might read the others, because this one is so terribly sweet.

>Book review – Stupid Love
>I am an independent reviewer. This is the 3rd book in the Stupid in Love series and ends with an HEA. Jace is the older brother of Olivia, from the 1st book in this series. He is going back to college at 25. He runs across party girl, Memory, who is very aggressive in her pursuit of Jace. I didn’t like how the author made Memory seem like she was a daredevil and easy. The daredevil tendencies are explained by her hiding her cancer. Why she would be easy is not explained, nor is it really believable.
>Jace is a gentleman and really falls for Memory. The side characters are fun, especially the old man, Jasper. Characters from the previous 2 books in the series make appearances. Memory’s cancer is serious, so the ending is a bit abrupt for all that went on. I would have liked to see scenes with her and Jace together with her new reality.
>This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this book 5 stars. This story pulls at the heart strings and is very well written.

I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.

This is an emotional book that has me feeling everything. I adore Memory and Jace and everyone in their lives. But I'm really amazed at Memory's mantra to live each day like it's your last and to experience new things. She does it for a specific reason, but I think this is a great way to live. I don't do it myself, and I'm too sick in my ways to change now, but it's an admirable view of living.

Even though I adore her, I think keeping her secret to herself for a long as she did from her friends was wrong. And pursuing a relationship with Jace when knowing how critical things were, to me, was messed up. She should have been upfront and honest and let him make the executive decision because she is inserting herself in people's life and hearts and I just don't think that is right, at all.

So I had mixed feelings about this story, but overall I enjoyed it and I'm glad I got the chance to read it.
