Have I said how much I love this series? Because I really do. This book is about the girls joining a quiz bowl. Amy is really nervous and has terrible stage fright, but she finds a solution and then also finds some bravery/confidence. Loved it!
When the girls sign up for a quiz bowl, Amy is too nervous to be in the spotlight. It just so happens that she feels a little bit chicken. The girls also get chickens at the Critter Club. I liked this book because it talks about being nervous as second grader and it's something we can all relate to.
I loved this book. It's so uplifting and the four friends are supportive of each other, respect each other and have plenty of fun together. I liked how the story dealt with the themes of nervousness and stage fright in ways that anyone, adults included, can relate to.
The girls enter the Quiz Bowl, which is like a trivia contest with a big audience. Amy is nervous of all the people. She wears a big floppy hat to help, but then she is okay and takes it off. At the end, they win!

My 5 year old daughter loves Critter Club and so do I. There's pictures on every page and they always have a good message. I do wish this one had more Critter fun.
