In this second chance love story, Abbi and Jake were best friends for eleven years who, just when they realised there was more to their feelings for each other than just friendship, tragedy struck Jake's family and he was forced move away. Now, years later, Abbi has a good teaching job, a boyfriend and is trying to move on with her life but she has still not forgotten about Jake and the heartbreak their separation caused. Her world is suddenly turned upside when Jake returns and is introduced as the new teacher at the school she works. Abbi soon finds herself torn between her boyfriend, Daniel, who may not be all he seems, and Jake who she always thought was 'the one'. Jake, on the other hand, knows exactly what he wants, he finally has Abbi back in his life and he is determined to make her his. For Jake and Abbi, is it too late for second chances and was their HEA never meant to be?

I enjoyed Pieces of Me, it was a great story of second chance love and never forgetting the one you are meant to be with. Abbi and Jake were both likeable characters, worked great together as a couple and had amazing chemistry. Rachel Ryan really takes you on an emotional journey and you cannot help but route for Abbi and Jake's HEA. This was a sweet, sexy read and I recommend it to contemporary romance lovers.

Abbi and her best friend Jake Lewis have grown up tpgether and always been there for each other. They slowly realize they have feelings for each other and kiss but then tragedy strikes and Jake moves across the country, leaving Abbi behind.

But fate sometimes brings people back together, but then again not always. Jake has re-entered Abbi's life but she has moved on and is involved with someone else. But everything is not as it appears and Abbi may truly be in over her head.

This book definitely had some suspense and kept me waiting to see what was going to happen as I really didn't see some stuff coming!

Lots of mystery and romance!
