About the author

I have been writing for as long as I can remember. I have always loved to read and, once I made it past my "I want to chase tornadoes, work at Jurassic Park, be a captain on the Enterprise and own a real light saber" phase of my life, I decided that I want to be an author and share my stories with the world. For years I kept a collection of poetry and stories in several binders and various files on the computer with no idea what to do with them. It wasn't until I joined the local NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) group that I began to seriously pursue writing as a career. Now, armed with a computer, large amounts of coffee, and Twizzlers, I am working on an illustrated children's series.

I currently live west of Washington D.C with my husband, Labrador, and three cats. I am an animal lover and have been involved in animal rescue for the past nine years and will happily talk your ear off about all things geek.

P.s I still want a light saber.
