Hard truth.

We all have wondered about how much we can endure. The books in this series offer possible scenarios for such a disaster. I'm left with some questions about what happens to the people who are left alive. Did Sister Bonnie start up a new group elsewhere? Did the folks in San Diego survive the radiation? Will Samantha and Julie get to the Pacific Coast?

Nice twist for story line. Enjoyed female lead and idea of getting family back together. Like how everybody talents were used.

Liked female lead and the extreme attempt to get family back together. Good, clean read even for the younger readerx

Interesting story line. It was hard to empathize with Paul, and his step daughter, Julie, did not react or speak like a 12 year old. Editing was atrocious, which makes it hard for me to concentrate on the story. Would like to see some depth to the character of Paul and changes to make Julie more believable in her role.

In spite of all the problems, I still stayed up late at night to finish. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes dystopian tales.
