Trixie has decided to take off a year before heading to college spending a little more time with her mom who raised her. She's not skinny but has curves so she's been on a diet trying to lose the weight when Parker Hoyt former NFL player show's up in the dinner she works at and he's all she can think about. Trixie has a secret five years ago she was bitten by a wolf in the woods and it changed her forever. Now her body is craving the one man she would never choose to be with and he can't deny his attraction to her. Can she accept his past so they can have a future?

I like that Trixie is a curvy girl who has the same insecurities that so many girls have. She's not perfect which I think it why I liked her so much. I wasn't sure, to be honest about Parker as I'm familiar with him from a prior book but he does show he can redeem himself and is exactly what Trixie deserves in a mate.

Chosen is the 4th installment in the Winter Valley Wolves series giving us a much needed happy ever after for a lone wolf from the prior books. I love the world that the author has created for her characters so that they all intertwine together and past characters pop up. I also like her own unique twist on the werewolves shift as well as true mates. I loved the characters in the books Trixie may just be my favorite and I really felt that I could connect with her. I love that Chosen was quick fast-paced with just enough story and steamy moments. I actually read it in one sitting and can't wait to dive into the next one.

not a review is a note to self:

2.5 stars

H didn't have to work for it. H was a player and h was virgin that was disgusted by his man whore ways, but that only lasted about a page before she jumped him. Seriously - WTH? If H had been sorry about what he had been up to while searching for his mate or even considered that his choices could have an effect on her this could have been a great story.

4.0⭐️ — Great — Enjoy it! - SHORT STORY

Also published at Amazon as FOR YOUR WEREWOLF ONLY and part of Winter Valley Wolves - The Quinns

Although originally published as the 4th book of the series, as chronologically happens, if you are reading in a unique volume it will be the number 7 or the first at the Quinns.

Parker’s change of heart might be my favorite in this series, although Trixie’s behavior wasn’t what I expected and I thought it was a little out of the character first described by the author.

The story is delicious though.

📚 Good reading, girls! 📚

Chosen or no choice?

0 to 100 in 60 seconds...

So much happens so quickly, you may not have time to digest what just happened!

True mates, Parker and Trixie meet...

The pace is fast, fast, fast! That's not a bad thing because the story doesn't have time to get boring. The usual meet-greet, want-get happens in the blink of an eye. Porter makes his intentions clear and sums it up best when he says to Trixie "Don't deny this. It won't work." My sentiments exactly. Trixie tries for a beat to play coy then submits, yes, I said submits, so quickly, it left my head spinning.

Trixie meets the pack; Parker meets the parent...

Trixie accepts her werewolf status so completely--no hysterics or denial for this girl. She moves right on and meets members of the pack and the pack alpha head on. Parker meets and woos Trixie's young, single mom, Caroline. Before you have time to adjust to that change, Trixie is moving in with Parker. Yikes!!!

All is well...

Tamest group of shifters EVER! No surprises, pack wars, fights for power or control. Everybody is happy in this ending. A few could be happier but that'll keep until the next episode.

On my Were Scale of Hotness, 3 stars.

Read in the box set THE QUINNS.
An enjoyable read from this author that has surprisingly left me wanting to read more.
I didn't like book one due to the heroines immature actions. I don't have time to waste reading about idiots, I like mature, capable and sensible characters.
I found that in this book with Trixie and her mother.
Trixie reacts very maturely for a virgin, demanding to take her time and get to know Parker, especially with his behaviour and reputation.
I found Parker a little harder to like due to his being a manwhore. He knew he had marked his mate years previously but it didn't stop him from sleeping around non stop. Not my type of hero even if he will only ever be with Trixie from now on.

While the chemistry between Parker and Trixie is super hot, it moves incredibly fast. Trixie doesn't like Parker at all when she meets him. I would have liked to see him earn her affection a little more, instead of the insta-love that happened after they had sex.

I love most of these mate books but..... he bit her because she’s his true mate then lost her which is OK but then sleeps with hundreds of girls and then when he finds her he says he’s been waiting for her his whole life. what BS! He’s a dirty dude who cheated on his mate. Ruined it.

I'm really glad I didn't pay money for this insta-love novella. I agreed with the h at the beginning - the H was a pig, so why would she tell him she loved him 2 days in? This was just too fast.

Although he freaked me out and I disliked him in the last book, I have warmed up to Parker. Parker likes the big girls? Brownie points for that. We need love too!

Chosen: Winter Valley Wolves #4 V. Vaughn

Reviewed by SFF Dragon

Parker Hoyt, wolf shifter, former NFL star and all round douche bag finally gets his true mate and the HEA he's been waiting for.

'Chosen' is the fourth book in the Winter Valley Wolves series by V. Vaughn and I was given a copy by the author in exchange for an honest review. This is a really good addition to the series of short paranormal romances and, as with all the previous books, despite being part of a series it can easily be read as a stand alone.

Waitress Trixie Quinn is 18 years old, very innocent and trying to cope again this year with the strange fever that has overtaken her body every spring for the last five years. As if hitting puberty wasn't bad enough, she was bitten by a wolf on a camping trip when she was just 13 years old and has suffered each year since, but it doesn't last long and when it's over, she can forget about it for another year, so she deals with it. Until the day she meets Parker Hoyt, wolf shifter and man-slut for the first time, then the fever takes a turn for the worse and she struggles to control it. I really loved Paige, but I especially loved her mother, Caroline. She's a character in a million.

Parker Hoyt, wolf shifter, former NFL star and all around douche bag, is the wolf who bit Paige. He's six years older than her, and he knew she was his true mate, but others who were older forced him to leave his incredibly young mate alone and he lost track of her. He has been searching for her ever since. If you've read the previous books in this series, you'll know exactly who Parker Hoyt is and that his actions are generally reprehensible, he just sank to new lows with Paige, and I think she gave in to her urges a little too easily,

Short and sweet, this book is written in the first person and entirely from Paige's point of view, which is not a style a generally like. I'd rather read books written in the third person so I know what all of the characters think and feel, but despite feeling like I was reading a script or someone's diary, this book was really good, with humour, steamy bits and the HEA we all expect. I highly recommend it and can't wait for the next one.

I was given an ARC of Chosen from the author, in exchange for an honest review.

First off I'm so happy that V. Vaughn continued on with her "Winter Valley Wolves" series. I AM HOOKED... absolutely HOOKED. I was quickly drawn into the story, and almost as quickly I'd finished.. enter "sad face"... I really wish these books were longer. Just like with the last 3, you got a glimpse of what the preivous characters where up to, jumping in giving advice, I loved it.

Trixie has been experiencing an odd fever that arrives every spring, ever since she was bitten by a wolf a few years ago. Then her mum suggest something that Trixie would never have thought possible.... Parker has struggled to reintergrate into the pack, since coming home from playing football, trying to find his mate, but never finding her until....

I can say that since coming back home, Parker has been trying to improve himself, we first meet him in 'Berch' book 3 & I can say he had ALOT to make up for. I enjoyed how close a relationship Trixie had with her mother & also how more involved the alpha was in this book, compared to the others.

Chosen is book 4 in V. Vaughn's "Winter Valley Wolves" series, which in turn is a part of the "Mating Season" pack series. A set of books from 6 authors, 6 different packs & an individuals story on finding their mate. I'm hoping that wasn't the last novella from V. Vaughn's "Winter Valley Wolves" I've really enjoyed what I've read so far & I can't wait to delve into the other authors work in the "Mating Season" series.

we met parker in the previous book. he didn't paint a good picture of himself then and frankly, he doesn't start so good in this one either. he's in serious need of a good take down. maybe trixie may be the one to do that for him. he's actually very sure she is THE one because a few years ago he bit her but didn't complete their mating which left Trixie in a bit of a pickle. ever since she's been experiencing strange things, faster healing, hormones all over the place.
trixie is dead set on avoiding parker, she doesn't like how he goes through women like a knife trough butter. yet he keeps coming to her and something inside of her can't resist him. when she learns more about her "condition" a whole new world opens up to her and helps her put the feelings she's getting for parker into perspective.
but will she be so accepting when she learns the truth about what he did to her? will parker be able to convince her they're meant to be?
another short read by Vaughn. her winter valley wolves are something else, figuratively and literally. this story has a bit more conflict and a few more hurdles to get over before they can have their HEA.

I fully expected to dislike the male in this story. In the previous story Parker was newly back in town. High School football star made good. He was a hot shot with lots of women and thought he should have more. NOW: a year later we see him showing interest in the quiet girl who thinks she's just average with curves. Trixie works in bar, has a great relationship with her mom--erotic romance author. And she doesn't like him but has the hots--and I mean literally--for Parker.

Not only does she have a lot to learn about the real Parker, there are things about herself she needs to learn. I really liked seeing the friendship with the two ladies, recently with werewolves in town. They help her deal with the secrets and adjusting to her new self.

The mom is a riot and at the end there is a scene that broke me up. I would love to see more about her and Paul. I also listened to this book on audio after reading. The audio was a gift from the author for an honest audio review. I love this series in both written and audio. I usually read then listen.

I give a solid recommend. Considering I didn't know if I'd like this book, it is probably my favorite of the series so far.

Chosen: Winter Valley Wolves #4 (The Mating Season Collection, #19)
by V. Vaughn

Parker has been looking for his true mate. He found her once, but lost her. He becomes a famous NFL player and has quite a bit of fun while searching for his true mate. Unfortunately he is thrown out of the NFL for fighting, so he goes back home. He finds his mate once again at the local diner, but she wants nothing to do with him. Somehow he is going to have to prove that she is it for him and he for her.

Trixie was bitten by a wolf 5 years ago while camping. Since then she has had a problem with running fevers every spring. It is very confusing. Working in a diner she has the bad luck of meeting Parker Hoyt, the so-into-himself ex NFL player. Not her type at all, but she has the really strong attraction to him and she really isn't liking it. Taking the advice of an old classmate Trixie decides to get her hair cut. Turns out to be one of the best choices she ever made. Who ever thought you could learn so much from going into a salon?

Chosen was a fun read. Just goes to show that you can't run from what should be.

I received this for an honest review. V. Vaughn done and amazing job with this series and the narrator was awesome. Each book in this series can be read as a standalone but trust me when I say you do not want to miss a one.

Trixie Quinn was this beautiful curvy woman who had been bitten on a camping trip about 5 years ago. She had not idea that she was a werewolf. All she knew is that there were times she would run a fever.

Parker Hoyt had seen this girl when he was in wolf form 5 years ago. He knew he was his true mate and before he knew it he bitten her. He had spent 5 years searching for her. Now in a dinner he sees her. He needs her and wants her so bad.

I just loved Trixie mom. She was this erotic author. How funny is that. Her mom was famous but for Trixie sake she kept their life on the down low. I love how her mom took out time to understand what was going on with her daughter. It shows the love and devotion that she had for her.

There is so much that Trixie does not like about Parker. I mean he is know has a player. She hates the way he treats woman. But there is also so much she does not know about him. Can she give him a chance to win her heart?

Parker Hoyt is a player, fallen NFL star, and super conceited jerk, or at least he is as far as Trixie is concerned. Trixie on the other hand is a down to earth, independent, realist and has no interest in the likes of Parker, especially when he shows up in her diner with a sex kitten on each arm. When he takes an apparent interest in her Trixie is beyond shocked and given the level of attraction he rouses in her she has the overwhelming feeling to run for the hills! Combine that with the inexplicable fevers she has had every spring for the last 5 years (after being bitten by a wolf on a camping trip) and she is beyond a hot mess. But Parker is persistent and as Trixie finds friends and discovers the meaning behind her fevers and feelings she begins to see Parker is not what she thought, but is he what she needs? Great to see the Mating Season continue, this is a truly awesome series and the characters will become favorites on site! **This book received in exchange for an honest review**

Trixie and Parker. Much better than the last two books I read by this author! Trixie has always had trouble in the spring. She gets hot and uncomfortable in her own skin ever since she was bitten by a wolf when she was a girl on a camping trip. She lives with her mother in a deluxe trailer. Her mom is a successful erotic author, and yet Trixie is a virgin. She's not skinny and has a bad self image after years of being picked on in school. She works as a waitress at the local diner and doesn't know what to do with her body when Parker walks in with two bimbos. He's newly returned to town from his football career, because of his tendency to pick fights. Trixie is dismayed with her attraction to such a loser. He's a player with women and he picks fights. Not the kinda man she thought she'd eventually fall for. And yet he seems interested in her...
A short read, but enjoyable and hard to put down!

With the way the books are grouped by family, I ended up reading this book 7th (so it was out of chronological order). Regardless, I was very happy to finally read Parker's story. This was a cute HEA with no cliffhanger and possibly the steamiest sex of the first 7 books. The book left me wishing a couple of things had been explained. First, why did Parker bite Trixie all those years ago? Did he lose control of his wolf upon recognizing his true mate? Second, if Parker had already bit Trixie, why did he attempt to bite Raven in Berch? While I can speculate, I would've loved to have heard V. Vaughn's explanation for both of these things. It was an enjoyable read nonetheless.

Everyone in town knows Parker Hoyt, he is a exfootball star who thinks he is God's gift to woman kind. That is until he meets his mate one day in a restaurant and falls hard. It's her the mate he couldn't find for 5 years. (He also made a butt of himself in the first book too lol)

Trixie was bitten 5 years ago on a camping trip and has not been the same. She fears she is a freak of natural until she meets Parker, the man she thought was a jerk and yet his touch does things it should not be able to do.

Written in the first person and has great characters that's easy to love. It's a smooth storyline that falls into place with tons of hotness you would expect from meeting your true mate at mating season lol
I can't wait to see what happens in this series in the next books!

Book given for an honest review and I honestly loved it

This is a short, fun read. Trixie is eighteen and working as a waitress during her gap year. She is very close to her mom who is a single parent and the writer of erotic stories. For five years, she has been experiencing odd symptoms. They began after she was bitten by a wolf while camping. When she sees Parker, she doesn't like him very much. He is a player with lots of women. Her unexpectedly strong physical reaction to him really surprises her. It isn't until she meets some wolf shifters that she understands what is going on and has to make a decision about what she wants. I really like Trixie and you get to see another side to Parker than just all that anger and testosterone. I have enjoyed the series and look forward to the next one. I received a copy in return for a honest review.

I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review by author V. Vaughn. This is book 4 of the Winter Valley Wolves by the author.

Trixie Quinn was bitten by a wolf 5 years ago and since then every spring her body gets hot. Thinking there was something wrong with her she suffered through it until she found out the real reason she gets hot. Parker Hoyt is an ex NFL player off and on the field but when he finds his true mate again after biting her 5 years ago he has to prove to her he has changed his ways.

The author gave the characters very good interaction with each others. The story line was was nice and smooth.

This book is for mature paranormal book reader dues to sexual content and adult language.
