I really liked this collection! All of the stories were really good, although the second one was definitely my favorite (I just love amnesia stories!!).The first novella was a little too preachy to me...and I love Christian Fiction but it just felt forced in my opinion.

Castle In The Clouds by Andrea Boeshaar -- 4 stars
Familiar Strangers by Gina Fields -- 5 stars
One Last Christmas by Joyce Livingston -- 5 stars
A Wedding Renewal in Sweetwater,Texas by Kim O'Brien -- 4 stars
Major League Dad by Kathleen Y'Barbo -- 4 stars

All in all, a great read! I definitely recommend this book!!

I enjoyed it. It was 5 romances but not your usual fluffy ones with no substance.
In all 5 they had to work at realizing what was wrong with their relationships and figure how to change it. There were some predictable parts but on the whole, they kept me interested enough to keep reading👏👏

This is a collaboration of 5 talented writers who take love to the next level. Yes, we've all read the romance novels about a boy meeting a girl falling in love and living happily ever after. My question usually what happens next, because life happens and the boy and girl will deal with many mountains and valleys in their relationship. In each of these stories we meet a couple who are having a crisis with their relationships.
Castle in the Clouds
In the first book we meet Wren and Nancie Nickelson who are recently divorced. Wren is a postal worker and Nancie works in a department store while attending school. Nancie has always dreamed of living a "classier" life and felt Wren was satisfied with his no where job. Wren knows he wasn't the best husband for Nancie, but when he took his vows they meant forever to him. As they navigate through the post divorce stress and co-parenting their eyes are open to more than just the problems in their marriage.
Familiar Strangers
The second book introduces Sara Jennings/Lydia Anne Quinn and Daniel Matthews. For almost 5 years Sara has struggled to put a life together for her and her daughter Chloe and at the same time Daniel has been grieving the loss of his fiance, but has never given up on finding her. When the tv show Without a Trace aired, both received an answer to a prayer. Lydia Quinn from Quinn Island South Carolina had finally been found after her disappearance almost 5 years ago. The only problem was that Lydia Quinn was not the same woman who left for a trip to New York when she returns. Can Daniel and Sara find a way to salvage their relationship without Lydia coming in between them?
One Last Christmas
Randy and Sylvia Benson have been married 20 plus years and are experiencing a major breakdown in communication. After a Thanksgiving celebration and their younger children head back to college Randy informs Sylvia that he wants a divorce and moves out. Sylvia doesn't see this coming and is completely devastated. For years Randy has been working long hours at the newspaper to provide for his family while Sylvia has focused on her church, home and children. They have essentially grown apart and have forgotten the love they shared when they were first married. Sylvia makes a bargain with Randy that if he gives her one last week of his undivided attention to their marriage that if he still wants a divorce she will give it to him. Sylvia doesn't want to give up on her marriage and plans to fight for it with everything she has. Starting Dec. 19th she devises a way to take Randy down memory lane to remind him of everything their marriage had been about.
Wedding Renewal in Sweetwater, Texas
In the fourth story we are introduced to Wilson and Sylvia Baxter. Wilson works at the bank and Sylvia is a stay at home mom. Their 10th wedding anniversary is looming and Sylvia is having a hard time dealing with the changes in her marriage. Wilson seems more distant to her and she wants to get his focus back on her and their family. She enlists her friends to help her come up with ideas of how to get her marriage back on tract. One suggested she try the Proverbs 31 "A Wife of Noble Character", but unfortunately things just don't go as planned. Wilson is up for a promotion at his job and he sees how this has come between him and his family, but feels once he can get this promotion everything will work out. Both are fighting to save their marriage, but will it be enough?
Major League Dad
In the final story we meet Blair Montgomery and Mason Walker. As young adults they had married and divorced, but this chance meeting ten years later makes them both realize there are unresolved feelings they must deal with. First they must face all the secrets of their past. Can they put the past behind them and start over or will the past always haunt them?

You know what I liked best about these stories, they felt real. So many books today only show the meeting and falling in love which is realistic to a point, but what happens after the honeymoon. Yes, I love a good romance, but I also long to see how a couple deals with a crisis. In each of these stories we find couples who fell in love and dreamed of a happily ever after, but find out that to obtain that it takes a lot of work. The story lines flowed effortlessly, the characters were strong and well developed. Each story will take you on an emotional journey, but each have the message of faith. These are not in any way preachy stories, but each one points to the fact that we have to put our faith in God that he will see us through our trials and if we let him guide us on the path he wants us to walk.
I enjoyed each sweet story and would recommend them to anyone who loves a good romance. I received this book from Netgalley for a honest opinion without bias or outside influence. All 5 authors are new to me, but I will be looking for their books.

Half way thru review : Have finished the first 2 stories. Both very different. I received this as an ARC from Netgalley. So far the theme seems to heavily rely on the woman who is lost or broken in order to repair the damage, and while I feel sometimes it can be heavily one person with the issue, it seems a little one sided, as in the first story. It does work in story telling, despite how unrealistic it might be, and I wanted to finish both the stories I started - could not put it down. However - I did feel drawn into the second story 'Familiar Strangers' by Gina Fields. Sara has had to overcome so much, it actually made me really happy to see her receive the ending she got with the man who truly loved her. It might seem old fashioned to some, but to those of us who treasure marriage, and value the kind of relationship they wanted to have, it was a refreshing read.

Have now completed the book. Ugh! This was ruined almost by the 3 rd story. I'm sorry but I cannot get my head around the kind of thinking that a husband selfishly leaving a marriage because of a mid life crisis, could somehow be all the fault of a wife who has devoted her time to her children, community, her HUSBAND, and her church. He was a selfish pig, and it just irritated me all the insinuations that God would OK that and lay blame on the woman. My belief is that God wants marriage to be about serving each other, and not more from one than another. Sounded to me like this story was just so shovanistic it made me want to vomit. And then he 'suddenly' realised the error of his ways 2 days after insisting he wants a divorce. Just seemed lame. The 4th story was only a slight improvement but I do appreciate the point that we can let work take over our lives if we let it. There must be balance in all things. However this was not very enjoyable read either. I almost gave up on this 833 page book and said "no more" but because I do like to finish things, I decided to give it one more chance. Thankfully the book ended with a sweet little story of lost love & finding happiness again. Despite the blunt sudden ending that left me thinking "what? Where's the rest of this story?" Not too bad, would I recommend it? Probably not. If you've got a few days to kill or want something to put you to sleep read the middle 2 stories.

Five different novels, five couples ready to seperate or even seperated get a second chance. All five have a common goal: God can bend what is broken, he always has a way if we are ready to forgive as he has forgiven us.

1. Castle in the clouds by Andrea Boeshaar - 2 stars
First I want to make clear that I am indeed a re-born christian. But what I found in this book was a sterotype that is just repellent.
There's this divorced couple, Wren (what kind of name is that anyway?), a loving, caring, endlessly patient, nicer than anyone can be, devoted christian and Nancie, the material girl, selfish, mean, her only goal is her career.
Of course all of a sudden she becomes a christian and three weeks later she has changed radically, leaves her career behind, following the head of the family wherever he wants, re-marries him and everything is just fine.
This is indeed a "castle in the clouds" that has got nothing to do with reality.

2. Familiar strangers by Gina Fields - 3 stars
This novel is at the edge to kitsch but not quite falling down the cliff. A nice story but not very profound.

3.One last christmas by Joyce Livingston - 4 stars
Being married myself for 29 years this story rings true to me. Love seems to be dying slowly and unnoticed while our priorities shift from our partners to our children, everyday chores, work, church or community and we take them for granted.
But this story is full of hope: We don't have to accomplish our marriage on our own. God is on our side and can open our hearts and our eyes.

4.A wedding renewal in sweetwater, Texas by Kim O'Brien - 3 stars
An authentic story about a marriage that had lost it's romantic feel and Wilson's career is threatening everything while Sylvia is trying to live according to Proverbs 31.
This story is believable but not very suspenseful.

5. Major league dad by Kathleen Y'Barbo - 4 stars
I nice quick and romantic read where Mason learns that he has a 9-year-old son from Blair whom he still loves but lost 10 years ago.

Forever Yours is a book with five stories in one.

Castle In The Clouds by Andrea Boeshaar
2.5 stars
This story was very stereotypical and a bit overdone with the religious parts. I thought it was kind of unbelievable that Wren (the Christian ex-husband) was so good and nearly perfect while Nancie (a non-Christian and his ex-wife) was so mean, self-centered, and just nasty. I really disliked that.

Familiar Strangers by Gina Fields
4 stars
I really enjoyed reading this story. Sara and Daniel were great main characters and I immediately connected with both of them. I loved how understanding Daniel was and even though he had moments where he forgot, somewhat, what Sara went through in her past. All in all, this was a very good story.

One Last Christmas by Joyce Livingston
5 stars
I LOVED this story! I thought the struggles that Sylvia had and the emotions she felt while trying to win her husband back were very real and well written. I highly recommend this one.

A Wedding Renewal in Sweetwater,Texas by Kim O'Brien
4 stars
This was a pretty good story. I didn't fully connect with either of the main characters, maybe that's why I didn't give it five stars. I liked seeing both Wilson and Sylvia grow. I especially enjoyed the scenes with Sylvia and her girlfriends studying Proverbs 31. All in all, this was a nice story.

Major League Dad by Kathleen Y'Barbo
4 stars
An easy to read story that was very cute and fun. I loved both main characters, as well Sam (their 9 year old son). The ending was so special and sweet! I'd recommend this book any fan of contemporary christian fiction.

On the whole this was a very good collection and I look forward to reading more books like this in the future.

I received a complimentary copy of this book to review. I was asked to give my honest opinion of the book - which I have done.

Forever Yours is a nine hundred page book, so I couldn't wait to get lost in some of the stories and spend a lot of time there. This book's cover was beautiful with the husband and wife on the cover looking toward the title in their wedding attire as the day ends.

Each individual story does allow each couple to show the struggles that normal married couples go through. While most stories like to make marriage look like a piece of cake with no true dilemma. These stories did a good job at allowing the fairy tale endings to appear more realistic. I truly enjoy that part of the stories. Also, I enjoy the idea of second chances for individuals. It is such a strong cord in who I am, so I loved that idea for the stories.

The writing of each author is top notch and made me feel like I was really there, experiencing the dilemma that each character has been facing. I understood the individual thoughts, struggles, and emotions. The setting and point of view were top notch. Like I would expect from these individual authors.

I wish some of the stories were longer, so I could spend more time with the characters. I felt like I got dropped in the middle of their struggles and didn't really get to spend a lot of time knowing each individual character. It would have been nice to see them more developed.

I received a complimentary copy of Forever Yours from Barbour Publishing through Netgalley and the opinions stated are all my own.

This was a bit over the top Christian, and old fashioned, all the stories had the characters sounding older than they were and dowdy or sounding like Tennessee hicks, it was good but over done with how the women had to do all the work in reestablishing their marriages.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC, for an honest review.

Overall this was a collection of cute, fun, easy reads, very representative of the Christian Romance genre. The second story out of the was by far my favorite with a story line unlike any I'd read before.
