Dying to get away from all the recent murder and mayhem in Palm Springs, Izzy heads to Miami Beach to attend the wedding of an old friend. While she intends to spend her time sunning, shopping and socializing, she soon finds that murder is on the itinerary. And much to her shock, she becomes the prime suspect.
Another wonderful Izzy Greene mystery. Once I started reading, I had a hard time putting it down. Plus, now I want gold fish. (That'll make more sense after you read the story.) Can't wait for installment #5!
Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...
1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.
2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.
3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.
4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.
5 stars... I loved this book! It has earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.
It was just OK. After reading the first book in the series and loving it, I was really looking forward to this. No quirky characters. Unfortunately, the information needed to solve the mystery wasn't even mentioned until about 80% through, then I solved the mystery right away. That's a big deal for me, because I'm usually the last one to figure out "who done it"
Awful. I have read several of this authors Izzy Greene mysteries and know they are a light sort of funny read BUT this one was Ridiculous!! This character would NEVER act so stupidly ,it was just too far afoot to even be interesting. Sorry but I'm completely turned off AND I figured out the whodunnit half way through and really only half-heartedly continued to the end basically skipping more pages than I read.
When you think Izzy can't stumble into another crazy unbelievable situation... she surprises us all again. I think this is my favorite Izzy story, however, I do recommend to read the others first. They make this one so much more enjoyable.
Izzy não consegue fugir dos assassinatos mesmo se esforçando muito. E a gente agradece por isso! A história continua sendo deliciosa com um ponto especial: dessa vez ela precisa provar que é inocente!
A fun and easy read about college roommates 20 years later. The main character, Izzy, is a bit much at times. I guessed correctly at the murderer but I liked how they were finally discovered and apprehended.
Very predictable and rather dull, even with the author trying to switch things up by changing the venue from Palm Springs to Miami. Characters are staid and stereotypical, the situations unbelievable and without logic, and the book is still in need of some proper formatting; this one was, however, bettet edited and proofread that the previous three. It's a shame that the narrative is less readable than the text.
I do enjoy these cozy mysteries. Although I have found several grammatical errors that should have been picked up by the proofreader, I still enjoy them!
