Rate this book
This isn't living. We're simply surviving.

Six weeks have passed since Blake Salinger became a target.
His friends and family surround him, support him, help him to survive.
But that may not be enough.

Pushing their limits each day, the Salingers and their friends are constantly running from The Agency–a corrupt organisation specialising in assassination.

When a face from the past returns, they find everything they have worked for is in jeopardy. Together, they must fight to evade the man's clutches while struggling to locate a missing companion... and the love of Blake's life.

But the boundaries of their trust are fading, and horrifying secrets emerge from their past. Blake must choose between his friends, or running alone.

While the men hunt him from the shadows.

Dead Ties - Bloodline Series Bk 2 - Written by Adam Nicholls
Can you trust even your best friend, or is he your best friend?????

Each day Blake spends on the run is a fight for survival. With a corrupt government agency, a familiar enemy, and the LAPD breathing down his neck, it's only a matter of time until he's captured or killed. But he's not alone. An unlikely team helps Blake discover a weak spot in their enemy's defenses, and together they plot to exploit it. In a race against the clock, their only chance is to regroup and take action, before their luck finally runs out. The plot thickens with even more espionage, conspiracies, and gunplay than its predecessor. Each page throws a new wrench in the works, keeping you on your toes from surprising start to nerve-racking finish.

What did I like? This continues on from book one, Clean Kill and it is even more gut-wrenching than the first book. I really love the writing style of this author and I can’t wait to get to book three.

What will you like? If you thought the drama was high in book one wait till you get to this one. Wow, murder, espionage, conspiracies, danger, and all grabbing you by the back of your neck to know what will happen next. I was so involved that I read these back to back and was so sorry when it ended. I received this from the author for an honest review with no other compensation.

Awesome! Great book 2!

Here we are in the thick of things, and Blake is still in the dark, so to speak. Val, Jackie, and Robbie are trying to take down The Agency, and I am so looking forward to the final book! After Rachel ran off, she had the gall to say the person she thought should've saved her never came for her! How the hell was Blake supposed to know where she was taken?? Other than that one ridiculous sentence, it was a very awesome story, and now to finish with book three!

Bait and Switch.

Just who is Blake Salinger? The salesman son of an accountant ? A man on the run for a crime he didn't commit? A man, still in love with his childhood best friend? A son, capable of forgiving and saving the father he didn't know? Or, perhaps, a dangerous loose cannon capable of ..... Perhaps it's time for Blake to decide just who and what he is.

Part two of this series is part of a box set I have and though it an ongoing story without conclusion, it's an entertaining and fast-paced read.

There is plenty of action with characters that fit well into the plot. But who is the real enemy?

No spoilers but I will just say that it's worth a look for those who enjoy this genre.

Very different

Different yes, and not necessarily in a good way. The relationship of the characters is beyond confusing. I suspect I will need to read both books again and take notes! Read at your own risk.

captivating

This is a fast paced read kept your attention. It read like a James Bond movie with all the spy stuff and secret agencies. I tried to get the Last Hunt and finish so right now I’m hanging in suspense to know what happened and how it ended.
