The Knights #3

Until Forever Ends

Rate this book
Gabriella Alvarez is sunshine personified. She’s the girl who walks into a room and makes you feel seen. And so, it’s hard to believe the girl who radiates positivity and is friends with everyone would be struggling with emotions she never thought she’d feel. At least that’s what she tells herself.

Jagger Spears is the captain of the basketball team, notorious for being exceptional in bed and for his laid-back personality. But behind the easygoing smirks and flirty words, he’s not coping well with his final year of college, battling past demons and grappling with a debilitating case of imposter syndrome.

Through it all, Gabriella and Jagger have each other. They’ve been best friends since childhood, growing up and living together, and yet, they maintain the facade. They slip on their masks, desperate to appear fine.

Until one night.

They make a promise that it won’t mean anything. But then it becomes all they can think about, wishing it would happen again while knowing it can’t.

But the lines have already been crossed. Soon it’s complicating their friendship that for years has been nothing but platonic, making them question everything and wanting more.

But in wanting more they’ll have to open up about what they’ve fought so hard to keep hidden.

this was super duper cute but why was it so FREAKING LONG ??? 😭🩷

if there was one word to describe this book, it would be cute! a cute setting, with a cute set of characters and a cute romance.

even though contemporary romances can very easily morph into me being bored for 200 pages - i still relatively enjoyed this one despite it’s length!!

i genuinely love college settings for romances - it’s probably my number one setting in the romance sphere. the love story feels so much more real and raw for me as i can relate to the characters SO MUCH MORE as we are basically the same age.

what i really dislike in romances though, is when the book is dragged to it’s full extent. i unfortunately think we are living through a long book epidemic even though it’s not necessary and could be prevented very easily.

in my romances i want:

1. the introduction to the characters + universe
2. build up with the couple
3. more build up
4. giving in (sex)
5. not wanting to confront feelings
6. “break up”
7. ANGSTY love confession
8. optional : cute ass epilogue

this book gave me:

1. introduction
2. build up
3. sex
4. build up
5. “were just friends”
6. miscommunication 🥴
7. sex
8. falling out
9. love confession

unfortunately that bumped down my star rating - if this was 150 pages shorter and had less miscommunication, it would’ve been five stars 😵‍💫🩷

the tropes for this book were so freaking good. childhood best friends? “teach me?” found family? college? i was fed 🙂‍↕️

as for the characters, i really enjoyed reading about their chemistry. although i would’ve loved to see more of their build up as teenagers, it was still super duper cute.

i also thought the trauma representation was handled well and was realistic for jagger and his personality. he deserved the biggest hug on earth and the way gabby was with him through everything 🥺 babies 💗

gabbys relationship with her parents?? SOBBING. the topic is so important to read about with the current state of the the united states - it not only sensibilised (is this even a word??) me even more to the topic; but it also made me feel so much more for gabby.

i loved how the author balanced out serious topics such as sexual assault, grooming and deportation, whilst still remaining light hearted.

overall, i enjoyed this way more than please don’t go, but it still had it’s flaws. i would definitely recommend this book if you like waking up early for picnics, sunflowers, acts of service & losing your virginity to your best friend in your childhood bed.

i also listen to “dog days are over” in moments of distress!

from book one, we know that gabby and jagger are making the journey from best friends to lovers. i thought because i’ve loved all the e. salvador i’ve read this year that i would be convinced to fall for this trope, i was wrong. i’m sorry i just can’t. there is no pull for me in these book, plus this one did have a repetition problem, but i just can’t go over and over and back and forth with the “we’re friends, that’s all.”

gabby and jagger both have very compelling and well written personal plots and that’s why this is rated what it is. gabby is dealing with a lot of emotions regarding her separation from her parents, her DACA renewal, and misplaced guilt. jagger has a hard backstory regarding the trigger warning in this book so definitely check that before reading. i think they both go through so great growth but it’s overshadowed by the boringness of everything else. not to bring up landon and jules again, but they had so much push and pull. i get not every book is an enemies to lovers but when you take that away you need something. gabby and jagger love each other the whole time, platonically then romantically, so i didn’t feel their relationship growth that much.

this is kinda a very personal thing, i feel like if you enjoy best friends to lovers with a hint of college sports romance you’ll enjoy this. i really like this friend group, i’m on my knees begging for saint and daisy. that is a dynamic i need to see play out. after that tho im done, jayden and cara and boring and polly is kinda irrelevant. i feel awful saying that but she could very easily be written out.

Soft DNF 😅🥲

I don’t have a great feeling about this one with how it’s going so far, so I’m going to wait until we’re closer to getting Saint and Daisy’s book to read it. If I were to rate this right now, it wouldn’t be above 2 stars and I’m so upset about it tbh😭

I’ve loved every E. Salvador book (except for Let’s Pretend), but this one is just notttt hitting like the others…

I’ve seen criticisms on her other books about the writing coming across “wattpad-like,” but I never felt like that until this book. They were all so easy to get into and hooked me right away, but this one… the writing is just not very good. I’m definitely finding myself cringing at it.

My main issue rn though….
Jagger and Gabby have no romantic chemistry or tension so far.
— I honestly can’t say I’m that surprised though. I never even thought about them in the first two books. Like idk why, but I can’t even remember them being brought up in a way that hinted towards them really having potential lol. And this is just another reason I was so surprised that Saint & Daisy weren’t book 3 because the crumbs we’ve gotten from them have been insane!! Especially because Only With You hinted on them having a fallout between each other and I just think it would’ve made the most sense that they were next in the series.

In the first 11% of this book, they’ve basically only talked about Landon & Julianna and how much they hate each other and how they think they should just fuck and get it over with. Basically every character has said this at least once already. Like I GET IT. I loved their book, but we already had it and it doesn’t make sense why we’re getting retold everything about it? I get the timelines overlap but jesus do they have nothing else to think/talk about??? It feels like really lazy writing that we’re having so many repeat scenes and conversations from Only With You, but only now it’s in Jagger or Gabby’s perspective. It already feels like it’s taking away from this being Gabby & Jagger’s book. Idk, usually when we get a lot of stuff about another couple, it’s for a future book, not the previous one.

And why are we being told so many unnecessary specific details about other characters? Like their heights in this book? Why do I care that Julianna is exactly five eleven and Landon is six nine?? And that “he’s still almost a whole foot taller than her, but they’d complement each other well.” I literally don’t care how tall these two are bro😭 I already read their damn book. I get reminded of everyone’s height in every book and their very specific personality traits. Idk I feel like there’s a way less annoying way to do this in interconnected standalones so that it doesn’t feel extremely repetitive.

I can’t lie, this has made me a little worried!! I thought it was just a fluke that I didn’t like Let’s Pretend, but now that I’m not enjoying this one either I’m scared 🥲 I really hope the next book she releases feels like her first 3 novels because I’ll be so disappointed.

Anyways, this one will be stored away for another time and maybe the rest of it will be better. I just don’t have the patience or the the time to push through this just for it to possibly be a really bad rating when I don’t want to hate it.

This book by far is the best in the series such a beautiful love story with a wholesome friends to lovers. Jagger & Gabi had such a beautiful friendship that when it turned romantic their connection was so strong

I love how they both made eachother feel emotionally & physically safe and the way they showed up for each other was natural. Their romance formed so organically, this is how you do friends to lovers

Jagger has my whole heart the things he endured & having to navigate his mental health it was written so well. He’s such a protective, emotionally mature and HOT MMC. The things this man done for her in this book was extraordinary words can’t describe how he showed up for her. AND THE SPICY SCENES. Jaw on the floor.

I will say it lost me towards the end it felt like some convos were repetitive and was too long. Also the couple from the second book was featured A LOT in the beginning that it felt like the focus was pulled from the main couple. I had to skim the scenes because it’s not their book so I didn’t understand why they were constantly featured

However absolutely loved this love story!

5 STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I already knew when I picked up this book that it was going to hurt a little. That’s one thing I love about E. Salvador’s books. Her characters are raw, messy, and so real that I can’t help but get completely wrapped up in their stories.

I was so excited for Gabby and Jagger’s story. These two have been childhood best friends who became each other’s lifelines, and I loved watching them navigate everything life was throwing at them. They’re both carrying so much, but they never stop showing up for one another.

Jagger absolutely broke my heart. His old wounds kept finding their way back to the surface, and seeing his anxiety portrayed on the page was gut wrenching. But watching him work through it and slowly find his way forward was incredibly powerful. I just wanted to give this man the biggest hug.

Gabby is struggling with feeling like she’s enough for her parents and carrying the weight of everything they’ve gone through for her. She’s such an incredible human, and I loved watching Jagger remind her that she doesn’t have to earn her worth. She was already more than enough.

And I will never get tired of the found family in this series. There’s just something about watching these people love and protect each other that gets me every single time.

This book is full of heart, yearning, tough moments, and big hugs. Gabby and Jagger’s story pulled me in completely, and I know I’m going to be thinking about them for a while. 🖤

Okay so I’m done and all I can think is finally….

Look this book wasn’t horrible it had some really great aspects. I love the friend group ovbs because I read the first two books, I thought jagger and gabby had some sweet moments I did laugh in the book and smile. I liked the parts about DACA and going through what deportation was like for Gabby and her parents. Especially right now with everything going on in America.

However it was too long for what the story was. I felt like it was repetitive and drawn on. It went from a 5 star to a 4.5 to a 4 and then ultimately to a 3. I had to take breaks because I was getting bored. I’ve read all of this authors book and this was by far my least favourite. There wasn’t anything really exciting it all felt really predictable. I did feel cringed out quite a few times as well which is a first for me with this authors books. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Will I still be reading the next book? Yes! Because I’ve dying for Saint and Daisy’s book.

this was a very anticipated read for me so I’m just disappointed at how boring it was.

“I want it all, until forever ends. And even then, when it does inevitably end, our souls will always be tethered to each other. I believe that because I believe in us. ”

Firstly I want to say thank you to E. Salvador for sending me this arc copy of Until Forever Ends.

Gabby and Jagger going from friends to a couple was definitely a major win for me. Sometimes when it comes to friends to lovers I can’t always take things seriously but with these two becoming a couple actually felt organic and believable. Even though Saint is a side character I found him so funny and genuine. The real world issues within this book were presented in a great way that led me to be a little more connected with our two main characters. I feel as people we shouldn’t shy away from real topics no matter if they’re showcased in a romance book.

Although I enjoyed these things I did have a couple of things I didn't like while reading. When I first started reading I noticed the pacing was different than I imagined it being. Things moved in a way that I can only describe as me sitting down watching a new season of a tv show. At first it was enjoyable but the more I read the more it started to deter me. In general the overall pacing of the book wasn’t my favorite thing. Some chapters were drawn out and other times things weren’t explained enough in certain chapters. There was a lot of unnecessary and repetitive detail presented and it made me wonder why it wasn’t cut out instead because it didn’t help other aspects of the book.

I truly hated how many parties were held in this, I get it college life should be enjoyed and considering I am a senior in college and around the same age as the characters I definitely understand where they were coming from but this wasn’t believable to me. I feel like a lot of the parties were written into the book as an excuse for Gabby and Jagger to sneak off and not have others around them question their actions.

While yes Gabby and Jagger’s relationship was something I enjoyed, I didn't always enjoy them as separate people. They weren’t written to stand alone enough for me. In my mind I thought that if they were to break up with each other they wouldn't have much centered around their lives to fully move on with in my humble opinion.

This isn’t my first E. Salvador book so I know how she writes her spicy scenes but the one written in this book in particular wasn't that mind blowing for me. I feel as though this is largely because I couldn’t connect with these characters as much as I had hoped. Granted there weren’t a crazy amount of smut scenes but they were cringey and clique to me rather than hot and heavy.

A lot of this book centered around communication but communication wasn’t always written strongly. Gabby and Jagger hid a lot from each other and from others around them rather than being honest. Truthfully I can understand how scary it is to talk things over but it was drawn out a lot of the time.

The snippets of Landon and Julianna's relationship wasn’t my favorite part either because I felt like it took away from Gabby and Jagger. With interconnected romance series I’ve read in the past, snippets of another couple are normally centered around the next couple and not the previous one.

Thank you Thank you E. Salvador once again for my eARC!! Pub date: October 06, 2026.

arc review - received from author

i want to start thanking E. for the opportunity of receiving and reading this arc, i was literally screaming when i received the email.
i love her books in general, but this series is one of my favorites in the whole world <3 thank you for letting me get a chance to know Gabby and Jagger on advance 🫶🏻

this book is the third book of “the knights” series, which is a college sports series (basketball to be exact) and let me tell you, you’ll be in love with every one of them.

Until Forever Ends is the story of Gabby and Jagger, two childhood best friends who lived together for 6 years because Gabby’s parents were deported from the United States to Mexico. Now they are in their last year of college, they are still united.
Despite appearances, everyone has their struggles, and both of them carry their emotions and problems, and choose to deal with it on their own. Even if they have each other, they sometimes find themselves drowning. One night, a party, a kiss, a promise and everything changes, but that will also complicate things, won’t it?

📸 *Gabby* is the most perfect and kind girl, her story for me hits different. I’m so close to stories like hers because of my daily work, and the pain, the mental and economic struggles that are crossed in those processes always touch my heart. It’s so nice to see her resistance despite her situation. Gabby, you have my heart *chiquita*, and I want to be like you, see the good in others and not let the pain cloud you for bad, but use it to be better.

🏀 *Jagger* from the first book I have you in my sights, I knew that behind that mask of not believing in love, there was a soft soul with a huge heart. His pain is not fair, thanks to E. for making that situation visible, we deserve more characters like Jagger; mental health is important for EVERYONE. You don’t know how much I cried with his story, it hurt, but his way to heal also made me happy. (and well, his nicknames for Gabby in Spanish had me SCREAMING and blushing).

💚 “are you with me?”; “i’m with you.”
What a painful story, but it’s worth it. Every page of this book is worth it. Thank you for representing mental health, the difficulties of the path of being an immigrant, the despair of healing, the loneliness you feel for being a victim, the anxiety of not knowing how to move forward. Jagger and Gabby, you two are beautiful, I love you.

I will summarize this book for you:
“What’s wrong?”
“Nothing”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes I’m fine”
“I know you. I can tell something is off”
“Really, I’m just tried”
“I want you to know that I will always be there for you and you can talk to me about anything any time you need to blah blah blah”
OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN. between all characters. Repeatedly.

This was soooo boring. I feel like I was reading the same scene every few pages. It was so long and drawn out. I also got so fucking sick of hearing about their feelings oh my lord

I was so disappointed because I absolutely loved the last two books in there series. A lot of times this felt like a reread of book 2 but not nearly as good. Some scenes were verbatim out of it and that feels lazy.

Until Forever Ends by E. Salvador 🌼 💚 ☁️

Gabby and Jagger's book hit me unexpectedly. For some reason, I didn't think that this book was going to make me as emotional as it did, and I had no idea what E had planned for them. You see pieces and bits of their friendship as you read the first two books of the series, and a lot of their personalities are not entirely what they seem. They're both struggling in different aspects, and no one around them notices.

Jagger is an overthinker who is struggling with trauma and his self-esteem; yet to everyone he portrays a man who is cocky and sure of himself. Reading Gabby's story with DACA and the separation from her parents hit me hard, especially with the current climate. E shows the desperation of not being close to your family, the loneliness it brings, even if there are people around you, and how complex the system makes it so that a person is just able to live a normal life.

What to expect:
🌼 Best Friends to Lovers
💚 Slow Burn
🌼 Mental Health Rep
💚 Found Family
🌼 College Sports Romance
💚 Latine Rep

Also, being able to relieve moments from my FAV COUPLE (Landon and Juls) was TOP TIER! I loved seeing them again and how their relationship blossomed. Let's not forget about SAINT! There are so many crumbs in this story that already set up what I know is going to be a DEVASTATING book! I CANT WAIT!!!

Thank you E for letting me read Gabby and Jagger's story a bit early. It was an honor!

Jagger and Gabby 🥺

Jagger is such a lover boy trapped in a fuck boys body because of his trauma and it GUTTED me. Watching him go through so many emotions all the time was so raw and unfiltered and depicted perfectly. Gabby’s journey was no less emotional. My heart broke for her again and again, as a mother idk what I would ever do in a situation like this. I loved getting more educated on this whole process and how unfair it all actually is. This book is an emotional rollercoaster full of crumbs, tears, laughs, and heartfelt moments that all together had me crying real tears.

In E we trust!!!

"i want it all, until forever ends, and even then, when it does inevitably end, our souls will always be tethered to each other."

e. salvador will forever remain one of my favourite authors. she has a very special way of writing, and it will always make me emotional. her characters are real, raw, different, and similar all at the same time. every single character is moving through life differently, but they all have a family behind them ready to support them when they need it. that is one thing i will always treasure about her writing.

it's so important to me that gabby and jagger had known each other for as long as they did because it was such a beautiful experience to watch each of them fall in love with the other. jagger fought it so hard, and the way he denied wanting gabby only makes sense for someone who has been best friend's with the other person for as long as they had been best friends. his journey with falling in love was palpable and so believable. there were certain things about his character that resonated so deeply with me, which is probably why i felt so much when reading his pov. his journey with anxiety and self-deprecation is absolutely real, and i feel for him so hard. what happened to him as a teenager absolutely ripped my heart out for more than one reason, and witnessing him work through it and start to talk about it with certain people had me crying into my kindle. that man deserves the absolute world and more.

gabby is such a beautiful soul. her story was a very special one. there is so much character growth on her end from the first page of this book to the last one. watching her grow into herself and acknowledge certain feelings was so important to me. from her journey with DACA, to finding herself, discovering what she likes and doesn't like, to falling in love, and so, so much more, gabby is one of the strongest characters i have read, and has quickly become one of my favourites. her story is one that deserves to be told, and i'm so grateful to have been an early reader. she is so cared for by jagger and her group of friends, and she deserves every bit of it. speaking of her friends, the scene with julianna and the insult jar had me crying all over again. i remember crying over it in only with you, but reading it again in gabby's pov had me sobbing. gabby is more than enough, and i wish i could tell her that.

if you haven't read anything by e yet, i promise that every tear and smile are worth it.

thank you so very much to e. salvador for the e-arc! i will forever cherish gabby and jagger ♡

Ohhh, I loved this book so much!

Actually, I love every book E. writes, so this isn’t really a surprise.

Gabby and Jagger are so special. This story touches a lot of sensitive topics, so please make sure to read the trigger warnings before reading the book.

Jagger’s past is really heartbreaking. The self-blame, the self-hatred, the way he thinks he isn’t enough and doesn’t deserve happiness or love… and my goood, the unjustified guilt. I’m so glad he had such a strong support system in his family and friends, and of course, Gabby, who constantly showed and reminded him that he deserves everything good in this world. Reid was also such an important part of his journey and I’m so glad he was finally ready to open up.

Sweet Gabby. I can’t even imagine not seeing my parents for ten years. The fact that this is the reality for so many people in the world is so unfair and devastating. I loved that she had Jagger and his family by her side, and that they welcomed her into their home and made her feel like she was one of their own.

From the very first page, or, more accurately, from the very first book in this series, you can sense the connection, support and love between Jagger and Gabby. Not just romantically, but also as friends. I’m so happy they finally opened their eyes and found their way to each other. Jagger is so protective of her, while Gabby is so compassionate and empathetic. I could really understand her struggles with feeling too much and nothing at all. I just hope they can both continue to heal and overcome their traumas together.

I can understand some of the criticism. The story itself isn’t particularly exciting or explosive. It’s a slow burn, and there are definitely some repetitive aspects. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed it very much! And personally, I never felt like it was too long or boring. For me, it was simply a wholesome best friends to lovers story that deals with some really heavy topics without relying on dramatic fights or unnecessary conflict.

And now, I’m sooo excited for Saint and Daisy’s book!! I REALLY hope we also get a Cara and Jayden book, and Polly + ???

Until Forever Ends caught me off guard in the best way. I knew Gabby and Jagger’s story would be emotional from the past two books in the series. I had no idea what these two characters were going through behind the scenes, which made their journey to their HEA so sweet.

The thing I love about friends to lovers stories is how effortless it is to be together when two people already know each other so intimately. One kiss and Jagger was the poster boy for “it’s always been you, how did I not notice sooner”, and I was here for it.

The depth of Jagger’s character/struggles made my heart ache. The author did a great job of showing how trauma (I won’t spoil what happened) has lifelong effects on how people see the world and themselves. Jagger essentially had mentally given up on himself - one kiss changed Jagger’s life, making him realize that maybe he had something/someone to live for, which encouraged him to seek the help he needed.

Gabby’s trauma was of a different nature. I can’t begin to understand what being a DACA recipient is like, on top of (physically) losing your parents when they were unexpectedly deported. Gabby, much like Jagger, was the epitome of “smile on the outside”, while drowning on the inside. I’ve said before this author excels at how she represents mental health journeys. It was beautiful watching Gabby and Jagger have the support of each other as a safe space as they each worked through their individual traumas.

As usual - the found family aspect of this series is top tier. These characters unconditionally love and support each other. I ate up every scene where the strength of the friendships was beautifully highlighted. Gabby and Jagger’s friends showed up for them, which is what we all want from our loved ones.

Another snooze fest. Way too repetitive, with a LARGE side of secondhand embarrassment.

This author is becoming very hit or miss for me, and lately, there have been a whole lot more MISSES. I was going to give her another chance, but then there's ANOTHER accidental pregnancy... and I'm OUT.

College kids accidentally getting pregnant is NOT IT. Nobody is going to college hoping to come home with a surprise pregnancy. If you want to write accidental pregnancy plots, please take them out of the college romance genre.

(ARC) This review may contain spoilers if you haven’t read the first two books in the series.

★★★★★

First of all, I want to thank E. Salvador for giving me the opportunity to read this ARC. I was genuinely SO excited when I received the email because this series has become one of my favorites, and after everything we went through with these characters in the previous books, I was dying to finally get Gabby and Jagger’s story. And honestly, getting to read the final book of The Knights series as an ARC felt so special.

Until Forever Ends is the third and final book in The Knights series, and it follows Gabby and Jagger, two childhood best friends who have been through so much together. Their relationship has always been so important to them, and I loved getting to see what happens when their friendship starts becoming something more. There’s so much history between these two, which made every moment between them feel even more meaningful.

Gabby absolutely stole my heart. Her story really touched me because of everything she has had to carry, especially with everything surrounding her family and the struggles she has faced. I loved how strong and kind she was without making her feel perfect or untouchable. She has so many emotions and fears underneath everything, and watching her deal with them made me want to hug her through the entire book. Gabby, you have my whole heart.

And then there’s Jagger… this man BROKE me. From the beginning of the series, I knew there was so much more underneath his personality, but getting to see his pain and everything he had been carrying was honestly heartbreaking. His struggles with his mental health and the way his past continues to affect him made his story incredibly emotional. There were moments where I just wanted to reach through my Kindle and give him the biggest hug.

I also really loved the way the author handled Jagger and Gabby’s relationship. They already had such a strong foundation because of their friendship, and I loved seeing that slowly turn into something more. Their love felt like something that had been growing for years, even when neither of them was ready to acknowledge it. The yearning, the tension, the little moments between them… I was EATING IT UP.

One of my favorite things about this book was how real their struggles felt. This wasn’t just a romance where everything magically gets better once they fall in love. Both Gabby and Jagger have their own battles to face, and I really appreciated that the author allowed them to work through those things instead of making their relationship the solution to everything. Their love becomes a safe place, but they still have to learn how to heal themselves.

And I have to talk about the found family because this series has always done that so well. Seeing these characters continue to show up for each other, protect each other, and love each other made me so emotional. There’s something about watching a group of people become each other’s home that gets me every single time.

This book also touches on immigration, mental health, loneliness, healing, and the feeling of not knowing how to move forward after everything you’ve been through. I really appreciated how those themes were woven into the story because they made Gabby and Jagger’s journey feel so much deeper than just their romance.

Overall, Until Forever Ends was such an emotional and beautiful way to close The Knights series. I laughed, I cried, I wanted to hug these characters, and I definitely had moments where I needed to put my Kindle down for a second because THESE TWO 😭. Gabby and Jagger’s story hurt in the best way, and I’m so happy I got the chance to read their story early. I’m definitely going to miss this little world and these characters so much. Thank you, E., for letting me be part of this ARC and for giving The Knights the ending it deserved. 🤍

I fear everyone is going to be surprised when I say that this is officially my favorite E. Salvador book and one of my favorite reads of the year. I can’t describe it in any way except utter perfection. I stayed up until 4 am (on a school night…) reading this and bawling my eyes out because I absolutely adored Gabby and Jagger and I related to them so so much. This was the most beautiful slow burn with the best angst, but I need to take a second to talk about the mental health rep. Masking is something we as a society don’t talk about enough, and I loved how E. Salvador approached every topic in this book and how important mental health was to the storyline and how different people deal with trauma and mental struggles. Also, the emphasis on consent and the topics surrounding the double standards we have when it comes to people’s boundaries was so so important to me and beautifully expressed.

Gabby, ugh my heart goes out to her and story, and knowing that others are living experiences similar to hers breaks my heart. I’d never heard of DACA, and I’m so grateful to E. for introducing me to it because I think it’s important to know about and understand the impacts it has on families. Her struggles with feeling nothing and everything spoke to a part of my soul I’ve kept hidden for ages, and I absolutely understood her want for intimacy as a way to finally feel something.

Jagger, oh my please don’t even get me started on this amazing man. I adore him and I’m not going to lie…he might have replaced Danny as my top E. Salvador man (we all know Saint is really going to be number one but we don’t have to get into that now…) His masking was so relatable and his own issues with sex were so important to address and I loved how E. handled the sensitive topics. Seeing him open up, trust, and love was the most beautiful thing ever and while this man has a DIRTY mouth, he also has a beautiful way of showing love and tenderness and I just ugh I LOVE HIM!! The desserts 🥹the lights??? The painting?? Stop it now I can’t take it!!

This is one of the greatest books ever and I genuinely don’t know how I’m going to recover because I bawled my eyes out for hours over it. UTTER PERFECTION!! 10/10 no notes I wow, E. Thank you!! Thank you for the ARC and thank you so much for writing this story.

This was a shocking disappointment. Usually I love everything by this author so when I had to force myself
To continue reading I couldn’t believe it.

The beginning of this book is so heavily centered around Julianna and Landon it became annoying and that’s saying something since their book is my favorite. They had their book and I understand their timelines overlapped but it can be done without fully focusing on the main characters of the previous books.

Majority of this book was so boring and I feel bad saying that. It didn’t keep me engaged and I honestly should’ve DNF’d. When they start doing spicy things the shift is so abrupt. Literally one chapter before you have ZERO attraction and lust filled thoughts about this person and then suddenly because of a kiss everything changed. That quickly. He immediately starts calling her a ‘little thing’ (ex my desperate little thing). ICK. At one point he literally tells her to be OBEDIENT. I’m sorry, is she a dog now????

Due to trauma the mmc struggles with self worth which I understand but at one point he’s mentally saying he’s good for sex with her and that’s all (during his jealousy moment of her with Trae) but that doesn’t make sense when they have literally been best friends since they were kids?

The fmc is so completely clueless about his attraction to the point of annoyance. No one is that ignorant. A rival player was flirting with the fmc during a game and the mmc shoulder checked him and she was shocked and didn’t understand why.

Then when they start dating suddenly they swap personalities and she thinks he deserves better than her and says they should break up.

There were also so many grammatical errors which isn’t the end of the world but I hadn’t noticed so many in her previous books.

Between this book and let’s be forever (which I DNF’d) I’m scared. E is one of my absolute favorite authors. In one of my reviews i literally say you can tell when an author was made for this and she is one of them. I’ll still be continuing this series but I am a little worried.

This is probably going to sound a bit more critical than I really am of this book because I have complicated feelings towards it. I wanted to love this and have it be five stars because I adore this series, I adore E. Salvador, and I’ve been waiting for this couple since book one. With that being said, there were a few pretty big misses. In terms of things I liked, the found family in this series is incredible and getting to see Jules and Landon fall in love again and see Lola and TJ happy was so fun. I loved the friends to lovers evolution of the relationship and how vulnerable Gabby and Jagger were with each other. I loved the setting and the forced proximity and the friend group meddling in their relationship. I also loved the representation, especially regarding Gabby and her family and immigration status. I think always, but especially now, stories like that are so important to highlight. Now, in terms of things that didn’t hit for me. For some reason I could not connect with these characters. I loved the premise and I loved the story but for some reason I just didn’t have an emotional connection to the characters. I think the lack of/miscommunication went on for a bit too long and the book as a whole just didn’t need to be as long as it was. I liked the slow burn but after that I wanted something more for the romance to give it another level. I do think that the length was what threw me the most just because I do think this could’ve been 150-200 pages shorter, but, with all that being said, I still adore this series, I always will, and I will be waiting for the next one.

Thank you to E. Salvador and her team for this arc!!

Until Forever Ends is a beautiful friends-to-lovers story, but it’s also so much more than that. While the subject matter can feel heavy at times, with Jagger’s struggles with mental health and Gabby’s challenges with DACA, their love story is what really makes this book stand out.

I didn’t know much about DACA before reading this book, but E. Salvador did a wonderful job of incorporating it into the story in a way that was easy to understand while still honoring the characters’ experiences. It opened my eyes to the challenges and uncertainty that come with navigating the process, and I can’t imagine how overwhelming and frightening that must be.

Jagger’s trauma was something I wasn’t expecting, and he broke my heart more than once. Watching him work through his struggles and slowly learn to open up to those around him made his journey that much more impactful. I love seeing thoughtful mental health representation in romance, and E. Salvador does such a great job of portraying it.

I don’t usually gravitate toward slow burns, but I really enjoyed it in this book. The buildup to Jagger and Gabby finally admitting their feelings for each other was so worth it.

My biggest issue was the pacing, particularly how much time was spent on Jules and Landon. Since we already got their story in the second book, I felt like their presence took away from Jagger and Gabby’s at times. I’ll admit I wasn’t the biggest fan of their story to begin with, so that may have played a part in how I felt, but I wish there had been less focus on them in this book.

Before reading, make sure to check the trigger warnings!

i didn't think it was possible for e. salvador to top off my favortes julianna and landon but i have to say gabby and jagger had me SOBBING throughout this book. i love both characters individually so much, how their own stories are so well flashed and developed.

as a survivor, i thought this was such a beautiful representation of how abuse can shift the way you see yourself and every relationship in your life. the way jagger was constantly blaming himself for affecting his parents relationship and we learn it was his own biased tunnel vision when he finally opens up about it. his whole journey with therapy and opening up with his friends and with gabby, really made me tear up a couple times and i was genuinely smiling for him at the end of the book.

and as a latina, my heart hurt just as much for gabby. i can not imagine the pain of losing your family in such a despicable way while trying to continue to honor their sacrifices. in the current state the united states are, there might so many gabbys out there and reading her story made me even angrier for the state of our world. i'm so happy hers had a happy ending, even if i know that's not the case for many.

i'm a sucker for childhood friends to lovers, can't really argue with that. i was SOLD from the moment they started telling people they're just really good friends and completely platonic. i love the development, love how they slowly work through. and it might also be the first time ever that i enjoy the virgin heroine trope in a book... needless to say, this was a 10/10 for me.

not sure i'm catching up those clues right but...... are we finally getting saint and daisy? because i can't wait!!! also love the small glimpses of jayden and cara.. would not complain if it was their book either.

“I hope in my next life, it gets to be her and only her.“

I really fell in love with Gabby and Jagger’s story and this line is one of many that made me cry. E Salvador never lets us down with her swoony men and emotional reads. I just wanted to keep reading and cannot wait for the rest of the series.

Throughout this series, Jagger is adamant love is not for him and he does not believe in it. Gabby is our hopeless romantic and is tired of waiting for things to happen. These two have been best friends for years and one kiss might change everything.

We love an acts of service man and Jagger was the biggest acts of service man in this. I kept saying are you kidding me and what do you mean throughout this book. He was had the biggest heart and giving it to Gabby, who not only has a big heart too but is a sweet baby angel, I was literally tearing up and melting simultaneously. And the way that Gabby and Jagger spoke to each other and took care of each other, I loved every single part of it. I cannot even begin to explain the emotional growth these characters had and the way that E Salvador wrote it was mind boggling. And don’t get me started on him brushing braiding her hair. It’s literally one of my favorite things to read in a book.

This book is at the same time that Only with You takes place and getting Jagger and Gabby’s POV’s was everything to me. We got to read about the scheming to get Juls and Landon together and Landon’s fight with Cole. And not only did we get to see those two characters but others and more crumbs for future books that I was absolutely locked in on. The way she writes these books, you just want to know all the things about each character.

E Salvador is one of my favorite authors and I will read whatever she writes. E never misses I swear.

Thank you to E Salvador for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Ugh now that I’m ready to my review Goodreads is lagging and doesn’t let me put my rating but for reference I will use for the first time the new update:
4.5 stars

I absolutely love this type of book, a slow burn with million pages and so much angst, how I love the way this author writes angst.

I was so excited to read Jagger’s and Gabby’s story and I am used to these books being emotional but I was expecting their story to be a little bit softer even though we knew Gabby didn’t have a easy childhood but I wasn’t expecting Jagger’s backstory. Damn that was heavy, forget softer

I haven’t read a good friends to lovers in this case the best of best friends in a while, I’m more of an enemies to lovers girlie but this one was so good. The way they knew everything about each other having a relationship was like an extension of what they already had, this was definitely all about the little moments that mean everything.

I would absolutely see how this author would write happy characters but well I love these ones, so I will stick with them. I’m excited to see who is next but I’m feeling Saint’s book is going to be depressing

Ugh I love this big group so much LET THEM BE HAPPY

I’ve been waiting for Gabby and Jaggers book for years and it did not disappoint. Loved it, loved them.

This friend’s to lovers book was everything. It was so sweet and the emotional depth within the book had me teary eyed throughout, whether it was happy or sad. The hard topic in this book was written with so much thought and done so right. So glad they got their HEA.
