Lola is a book lover with a *slight* romance obsession and a passion for love. Especially love between sassy women and huge, growly magical men ;)
When she's not reading or writing up a storm, she's hanging out with her husband and three kids, or baking something sugary that she *probably* shouldn't eat (but will).
A guide to her books can be found on her website. All of her series can be read entirely on their own, so there's no necessary reading order.
This is book 2 in the series, Hollis has went to steal blood at paiges apartment on behalf of jude. Fortunately he encounters a scantily clad Paige instead. This leads to an accidental mate bond. The rest on the novella is them navigating there way through this. Quick and easy read.
A vampire, a werewolf, an accidental mating, and enough deliciously unhinged paranormal shenanigans to make this one an absolute blast! Hollis and Paige had me grinning, swooning, and fanning myself from start to finish. With the perfect mix of humour, spice, sweet moments, and supernatural chaos, this novella hit so many of my favourite PNR buttons. An incredibly fun, spicy read that I thoroughly enjoyed!
My favorite quotes: ✍️ "What motivation do I have to lie? You broke into my house, looked at my vibrator like it was a bomb, and refused my popcorn after calling me sad." ✍️ "We're so fucked," I choked out. ✍️ "Can you roll around the bed or something? I need more of your scent in here." I sat down on the edge of hte bed, raising my voice again. "In my clothes, or out of them?" "Out. Definitely out." "Does it change my scent"? I asked. "Nope."
What it is about: Werewolf hockey player Hollis and vampire ballerina Paige are accidentally mated, during their first "let's scratch each other's itch" sexcapade.
What I loved: 🩵 how the story differs from Vampire Pack, but still fits perfectly in the Soulmate University series 🩷 it is my favorite kind of PNR, i.e. a vampire/werewolf couple 🩵 it has all the paranormal elements: going into heat, nest, werewolf knots, vampire barbs 👀, mating through mutual biting, pack link,... 🩷 their meet-cute (used loosely), where he is caught trying to steal blood from her roommate (after being blackmailed by his friend) 🩵 how awkward he gets around women, ever since his toxic ex broke his heart 🩷 how "all in" he was from the get go, taking the friendship-route because he wanted her to fall in love with him 🩵 how they both loved the same TV-shows 🩷 the friendships between the pack members, especially when they had the frame of mind to record him taking the BC shot to reassure her 🩵 the delicious spiciness: #162 f*cks, #60 heats, #19 c*cks, #9 cl*ts, #7 b*rbs,...
What I struggled with: 🤔 I could connect more with the main characters of Vampire Pack, Carmen and King, but then again they had been involved much longer before the accidental mating
What you need to know: • novella • interconnected standalone • dual POV • paranormal hockey romance • acquaintances-to-lovers • vampire MMC x werewolf FMC • hockey player x ballerina • he falls first, he falls harder • found family • HEA
I am a big fan of Lola Glass. Anytime she comes out with a new novella, I am instantly making room on my TBR to read (inhale?) it immediately.
This story follows werewolf ballerina Paige and vampire hockey player Hollis. While they are connected by way of friends, their only real interaction was a miscommunication where Hollis accidentally offended Paige. Not the best first impression.
Hollis is asked to pick up something at Paige's apartment and finds Paige with watching a steamy hockey romance (think Heated Rivalry) and a lot of hormones - suffice to say, they agree to scratch an itch ... which led them to be accidentally mated (by way of biting).
While they were mated before they really got to know each other and tentatively agree to not be "mated" in the real sense, they are both so nice that they wanted to not force anything on the other (even though there was feelings both ways). It was so adorable. Thankfully, they finally communicate and realize they are both on the same page. A cute HEA!
Looking forward to the third installment!.

I loved paige in book one she amazing ,sweet and has dreams i had feeling hollis was going end up with her she never really interacted with hollis or jude but once he was talking to her he struggled with saying the correct things to women he found attractive and liked.
Hollis was so awkward but in a cute way and paige thought it was adorable so obviously they found eachother attractive and wanted have sex its been awhile for them both and things got out of hand but it happened accident bond.
The way they got to know each other Paige was so worried he only wanted her as a friend when he absolutely wanted a real bond with her she was nothing like his ex.
Their chemistry was so cute 😍

Paige and Hollis are best friends of Carmen and King (Vampire Pack). He's on the ice hockey team with King and Jude and she's the top ballerina but they have met a few times as their friends are now pack. When Jude blackmails Hollis to break into the girls home for a bag of Mallory's blood he thought the house would be empty.
When Paige sees Hollis entering she decides to see if he'll help her break her dry spell, not expecting to ask him to bite her multiple times, or that she would then seal the bond herself. But they're now stuck together. But while they both blame themselves, and Hollis suggests they can be friends, his hope is that friendship will help her to fall in love with him.
I wanted to get to know Paige, and have her near me. Permanently. I wanted us to figure out how to live like a normal mated pair. I wanted her to fall in love with me. I wasn't sure how to make that happen… but id figure it out. Because I wasn't letting her go.
Hollis is awkward around women, and struggles particularly round Paige due to how he feels about her, though he's also wonderfully tender, caring and almost too understanding. But she does her best to work with that, ending up being awkward herself, and some great lines, and they are so sweet and honest together because of it.
A slightly shorter wonderfully sweet paranormal mates romance by Lola Glass. Lola’s stories are always so well written with humour, banter, romance and human nature (worries, insecurities, etc) and this one is no different. It's full of a mix of werewolves and vampires, with obsession, possessiveness, growling, tenderness, brilliant chemistry, friendships, wonderful humour from the first page, great flirting and banter, and plenty of sweet spice💖. An addictive read I couldn't put down and read in a day; would strongly recommend.
There's also a lovely reference to another of Lola's books, "Sweet Blood" which the pack are listening to as an audiobook.
I look forward to seeing more of them all and have my fingers crossed for Mal and Jude in the next book.

Once again - Lola has crafted a captivating paranormal romance that perfectly balances the spice & seduction with tenderness & thoughtfulness throughout. When you throw in the backdrop of a sports romance, inter-species dynamics, and a heck of a lot of hilarious foot-in-mouth moments from both characters, you really wonder how on earth she does it.
This second installment of Soulmate University follows Paige, a top-tier professional dancer, and Hollis, the captain of the hockey team, as they navigate an accidental bonding. Despite both being top of their fields and excellent charmers on-screen, they each struggle with intimacy and vulnerability, albeit in different ways.
As we watch each of them fumble throughout the bond, the dual perspective allows us readers a front-row seat to the awkwardness, but also to their growth as they increasingly embrace the bravery and vulnerability a health mate bond requires.
We readers almost get our own little master class in communication and relationships by the end, in a way that makes me wish I had these books a decade or two earlier. Consent is ALWAYS discussed, in a completely natural way, and the allusions to alternate preferences, desires and lifestyles throughout makes me want to HUG this book, literally.

This is the second book in another fantastic series by Lola. I can honestly say that I haven't read a single book by this author that I haven't loved.
Paige and Hollis accidentally seal a mate bond. Neither find it particularly easy to be honest with each other as to what they need so the settling in period is interesting. Hollis is awkward and tongue tied with females he finds attractive because of a previous, toxic relationship. Whilst Paige hides her issues for fear of appearing too needy. Both characters are genuinely likeable and fun to read about.
I would absolutely recommend this and any other story that I've read by Lola.

The saying I’m here for a good time, not a long time applies.
Short, sweet, nice, and easy no heavy plot kind of read. Is it a world building masterpiece? Nope, not even close. If you just want a good time, no plot, spice, and a hookup turned love then it’s enjoyable. You can read her shorter novellas in a couple hours.
I often enjoy Lola glasses books as a palate cleanser they always have a hea. Lately after the author had her baby she’s been writing short novellas.
I however prefer her longer books that are still short around 300 pages. The plot, and character building on those are always so fun. I really hope she writes a full length soon.
The book is amazing! I had high hopes for the second book in the series and they all come true. MMC (Hollis) is perfect. FMC (Paige) is cute. All supportive characters are hilarious and make the novella brighter and more lovely. The plot is simple (but adorably cute) with the main focus on how main characters falling for each other.
Spice level: 🌶🌶/🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶 HEA, accidental mates, vampires and werewolves, hockey and ballet, strangers to lovers.

What can I say? This was a quick little read that I loved from beginning to end. It was sweet and cute with cuddles and emotional bonding. Just all around a good book and would work great as a buffer between more "intense" books. I'm already looking forward to Mallory and Jude's book, even though I know I'm gonna be sad when I have to say goodbye to these characters.

If I could give it more stars I would. This book was exactly what I needed to wind down after a busy day. It kept my focus. It had the spice but it also had really great relationship building aspects. I love both of the main characters but I might be a little biased because the main male character reminds me a lot of my husband. :).

I read almost all of Lola Glass books. It a lovely book, no complicated, light and everything. But i would preferred if it had a lot more depth. The characters have no personality or development. I don’t see the difference between these two and the two from book 1. She has no characteristic of a ballerina like rigour and thing fo detail. Anyway, fun read, but not memorable
Do I like hockey romance? No. Will I read anything Lola Glass puts out? Clearly.
Take the review and rating with a grain of salt. If you’re looking for something relaxing and obstacle free, ya da you’ve made a great choice. For me, this was lack luster and tho I liked the characters marginally, there was nothing really that pointed to love in the beginning middle or end. I am excited for the next couple tho!
This picks up right where book 1 ended. I felt more connected to Carmen and King’s story than I did Paige and Hollis’. I really wanted more time with them interacting as a couple but this was still a fun story. I love the setup for Mallory and Jude and I can’t wait to see how that goes. Great story about found families and mate bonds.
I received a free ARC and this is my honest review
Short quick read of a sweet romance. Paige and Hollis were two very likable characters. It was nice seeing them work through there issues with honesty if not always great communication. You could see the character growth in both of them as they got closer. Once again another great book by Lola Glass!
I love this author's writing style. It is free-flowing, quirky, and fun. Paige is independent, loyal and can make hasty decisions she will regret. Hollis is more measured in comparison, he is highly organised and is so sweet when he gets nervous around Paige. Their interactions are so darn cute and I feel I have a permanent smile when reading this book. This is another highly enjoyable story!
➕ - Another easy, breezy read from Lola! - Tropes: 🩰 Ballerina x hockey player 🩰 Wolf shifter x vampire 🩰 Accidental bonding 🩰 Forced proximity - Hollis is such a teddy bear. He always puts Paige first and he just wants to be the best mate possible to her.
➖ - This couple is cute but I do prefer the first book.
That was a cute story. I like somewhere this went. Then, I'm a little worried after the epilog, especially for Mallory, or should I say, Jude, I can't wait to read the next book and I don't wanna get away any of the story. So let's just say page is perfect. For hollis, how you needs to learn how to get his foot out of his mouth first
This is book two in Lola’s Soulmate University world. Paige and Hollis are adorable and their pillow talk is top tier. I love the pack relationships and dynamic. And birth control shots for males as the norm? I want to live there.
Loved Hollis and Mallory story. His awkwardness is super adorable. They just need to communicate better. Luckily the pack helped them along the way. Can’t wait for the last one.

I was very excited for this book. I love everything by Lola Glass, and this latest series is delightful. Paige and Hollis had such chemistry, and I loved reading them working through awkwardness and misunderstandings.

The only thing wrong with this book is that it was over way too soon! Love the storyline and all the characters, cannot wait until the next one which I’m sure I will devour at speed yet again. Lighthearted and easy to read with perfect level of spice. You will fall in love with Hollis and Paige
**early review from Booksprout** Lola Glass wins again! Page and Hollis story was so cute. I was giggling with happiness reading their story. Hollis is a teddy bear vampire hocky player who i need in my life. Vampire and wolf packs join together to create a perfect love story.
I look forward to every Lola Glass book. I’ve read each one and look forward to the next reality escape. I love the characters and that I’m not left hanging for a year wondering what happens.
This is the second book in the soulmate series. Excellent, just like the first. A story about a hockey team of shifters and vampires and the women who love them. Warm, funny and sexy. Can't wait for the next book in this series.
This book was so good! I love this series and I know December 2 is only 3 weeks away from the day this book came out till the next one comes out but it so great it feels like torture to have to wait that long.
The author writes the same book every time. The same tension and conflict. The same misunderstanding. The beginning is usually detailed and slower paced, while the end is like super concise. Boring, to say the least.
