I was born and raised in Joliet, IL. I wrote my first story in the 3rd grade and fell in love with creating my own world. But throughout the years I have lacked the discipline to actually sit down and write. Even with a minor in Creative Writing (which should have been my major). I have been a avid romance novel reader since Jr. High and have read hundreds. I have lived in Chicago, Japan, California and now reside in Arizona. And I wanted nothing more than to combine my love of romance, writing and traveling and put them in a book. So one day out of the blue while in the middle of reading another book, the story that I had started months ago kept bombarding my every thought. Until I couldn't even continue to read the book I was in the middle of. I put down my Nook and picked up my laptop and about fifteen days later, I had finished my first draft of my manuscript. It was the most exhilarating moment of my life. To know that I finally did it. That I finally finished something that I had started. And now I'm and AUTHOR and PUBLISHER! I never would have thought that was possible three months ago. I just hope that everyone that picks up any of the books I write from here on out, enjoy them as much as I did writing them.
REVISED review as of 8/23/15 Boy o boy this was HOT HOT HOT. I wished the author warned me not to read this book while at work because let me tell you no work was completed while reading this book and I HAD TO work. So I put my Kindle down finished up work and rushed home to: but reality set in that I'm single and no one is waiting for me so I went back to reading the book and day dreaming about the situations in the book and the wonderful heroic men lol.
Curvy Ever After: Forbidden Curvy Girl Fairy Tales is a book made up of seven popular children stories remade for the sexy, naughty, and adventurous adult. What I like about this rendition is that all couplings depict real people. The characters are interracial/multicultural, the heroines are curvy, have a little pooch for a stomach or stretch marks, and the heroes are commanding yet gentle.
The language in Curvy Ever After: Forbidden Curvy Girl Fairy Tales reflect the 21st century. Characters have dirty thirty birthday parties, can navigate their way through Instagram, and hold prominent positions like designers & neurosurgeon. And, if you're wondering about the sex don't fret because there's something for everyone in these stories. Sexual proclivities range from romantic, rough, to D/s & ménage. Pick your poison.
I really appreciate Twyla Turner vision and imaginative stand on these fairy tales. There were a couple of stories that took me awhile to figure out due to execution but common phrasings helped. I liked all the stories for one reason or another but my favorite was Ashes, an interpretation on Cinderella.
If you like modern day fairy tales with a twist then pre-order Curvy Ever After: Forbidden Curvy Girl Fairy Tales now. The stories will leave you respecting the adult version and have you fall in love with the classic version all over again. This edition gets 4.5 curvaceous stars.

August 12, 2015 I'm a fan of fairy tales retold so September 3rd release date is extremely exciting for me!
One thing’s for sure is these ain’t the fairytales you know and love. Instead, author Twyla Turner has cast a new spell: A grown-up, sexy, downright dirty spin on your favorite childhood, bedtime stories.
Curvy Ever After embodies the true spirit of what a diverse or multicultural story should look like. Every race and a multitude of ethnicities are represented in these eye-popping, cheek-blushing stories of women who’ve learned to overcome their shyness and unleash the sex kitten that lives within us all.
While all the heroines vary in ethnicity, the one constant is they are ample in size and even bigger in heart, and there is truly something for EVERYBODY. My fave? Ashes of course. One, because our heroine, is a thicka than a snicka, dark-skinned woman, and two, Cinderella is probably my all-time favorite fairytale. Who hasn't at some point wanted their own knight in shining armor to come along and rescue them?
Click it up today and get lost in these delicious, salacious fantasies!

Now Lady Twyla put her foot in this one, like I'm almost scared to see what she will come up with next. Honey you have never ever thought of you childhood story's or movies to be like this, and that God. When I tell you that the next time you read Little Red Riding hood to the kids you will giggle and watch any Disney movie you will blush. The book was hot and sexy, is by far the most amazing thing you can see on paper. Like Miss Twyla Turner work and imagination is off tje hook, sky's the limits for her work.
Another great book by one of my favourite authors. Best of all the stories are about curvy women.
Well I will not be able to think of my favourite fairy stories in quiet the same way after reading these stories. I love Ashes because I am a sucker for a Cinderella story. I really loved the author's version of this story.
A great read you won't be disappointed but you won't view these fairy stories in the same light every again!
Ms. Twyla, these stories gave me so much Being of the thicker body type myself, that was just aces. My absolute favorite story had to be Ashes, though. Ashland reminded me of a few people I know in reality. But the way that you rewrote that story was beautiful. That's not to take anything away from the other stories, because Wanderlust made me wish for my own silver fox Dom! Yowza! All in all, this is a wonderful collection of stories that has something for everyone.
I love these stories. It was a very different take on all of these famous stories. My favorite stories where the beginning and the ending stories. I could identify with the these two characters very much. One of the things I liked best was that the characters were all different races. It all blended so well. Twyla is one of my all time favorite authors. She has away of making you feel as if you are experiencing the story first hand. I quite enjoyed my worldwide tour of my favorite stories. Time to reread again.
Several authors are currently featuring new releases of adult versions of fairy tales. This is a fun set of stories featuring new adult takes on some classic tales like Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Little Red Riding Hood. There are short reads with couples having an instant attraction for one another and not afraid to pursue it. I enjoyed all the stories. I received a copy in return for a honest review.
These are definitely grown up fairy tales! The amount of creativity put into these stories was off the charts. The spins on some of these I never would have thought of. There are a wide variety of characters and very HOT love scenes! These stories were so great and kept me hooked. Can't wait to see what Twyla does next.
She DID that! I can honestly say I will never look at fairy tales again. Jazz and the Genie! Alice in Wonderland(OMGYES)! Freakin, Snow White! Beauty and the Beast! This was such a enjoyable read and I applaud you Mz. Turner for 'going there' Quick read that kept me entertained. Thank you.
Interesting and rather racy re-telling of childhood fairytales such as Cinderella, Arabian Nights and Red Riding Hood, with flare. Enjoyed the fact that Ms. Turner did not limit her characters, employing multiple races to show a strength of love and inclusion, not just her heroine's size. Also having her stories in different countries: India, Japan, Sweden and the United States only makes them even more varied and interesting. There are seven, yes seven stories in Curvy Ever After however, each one is a complete little novella: rich in detail, character development and extremely sensual. This is my first Twyla Turner novel, but it will not be my last!
This book took me awhile to get through. I feel like there was no editing process. The grammar was rough and there are random periods in the middle of some sentences. The stories have hardly any plot. Also the I'm a virgin story line gets old quick. I get that there are only so many ways you can describe a curvy woman, but repeating yourself and using the same words over and over again is not the way to go.
I will say that yes there was a lot of sex, but I guess I just want a little more plot to my stories.
CAWPILE Score: 2.14 MVP: I guess Ashes- That was really the only story I even semi-enjoyed.
7 steamy adaptation of Brother Grimm's tale of 7 princess. Setting up on different era, and even different countries!, the adaptation was surprisingly pleasant and still keeping in tact the original plot. Plus, i was quite amaze that the author still manage to preserve local culture and few tidbits on historical details on the story, while keeping it hot, hot, and hot!! Great details. Great storyline and great characters!
These were great with a novel twist. It was fun to try and guess the fairytale each was based on before the reveal. It was wonderful to see each heroine get her happily ever after from an unexpected suitor. And for a change to see an "adonis" see past, what is generally the "norm" and see the beauty in different. Curvy beauties have hope.
As I child I didn’t read these fairy tales. I knew the basics of them. I have got to say that the author re-wrote the heck out of them! They were so good, hot and steamy. The base was there, but each character was designed to resemble one of us out there. We thicc girls, all sizes of thicc, colors of thicc and wonderfulness that we are. Job well done!!
This book was an interesting twist on fairytale princesses. The whole I'm a virgin storyline got a little old but I guess if the book was reality that would be the case. The only story I didn't care for was the last one. Great writing Ms Turner. Keep em coming.
The best fairy tales ever! The stories were amazing and I loved the adult spin on them. I see Red Riding Hood in a different light. In Three Wishes, forget Aladdin it's all about the genie. However my favorite of all is Ashes.
I tend to dislike collections because the quality seems to veer wildly in all directions but this is a great collection of intense, romantic, unique storylines i like it
Twyla Turner is one of my favorites! I have read this more than once...multiple times! I enjoyed and appreciate the twist on the classic fairy tales I read as a youth. I recommend this read to anyone that enjoy short stories; looking for excitement and romance!
So ever after needs a part 2 I feel it went to fast a want move lol I know I'm greedy but I loved if why you got to be so great at these always making me want more I love these book and can't wait for more
The retelling of common fairytales was clever. Because they were short, there wasn't much character development. But then again, you already know how the story goes. Therefore, the fun part is in figuring out how it's different.
This was an assault to my romantic senses! I typically like this writer’s work, but c’mon! Yes, we read for the fantasy of it all, but let’s not make a mockery of it!
