This review is for Committed (Lost in Oblivion, #3.7) by Cari Quinn & Taryn Elliott which is part of the Love Ever After Box Set. I received an ARC of Committed in exchange for my honest review.
Honestly? It was too short! I want more Simon and Margo!
This novella gives us a release into their "real life" -- outside the bedroom -- and how they deal with a "real" issue. I put "real" in quotes because really the issue was of Margo's own making. Seriously, that girl needed a head slap. BUT, Lila to the rescue (I look forward to her story), showing Margo that she's being silly. Simon's problems and struggles feel more real than Margo's issues, but none of that detracted from the story. As with every couple, there are real issues, and fabricated ones. But Simon and Margo get through it all, and are stronger for it.
Overall, a great little snack to munch on while waiting [impatiently] for the next full-length Oblivion novel.
THIS REVIEW IS FOR COMMITTED ONLY FROM THIS ANTHOLOGY
Review for COMMITTED I received this as a gift for an honest review
OMG….I am reeling from this story. I wasn’t sure if it could get much more intense between Margo and Simon. Boy, was I proven wrong. The chemistry, the intensity…it’s all there and than some. There were times I just wanted to kick Margo and say “OPEN YOUR EYES, FOOL”. I also wanted to wring Simon’s neck when he tried singing and just left in an angry huff…another moment to just kick his butt. But what a ride. It is kickass and wonderful and it just grips you and takes you along for the ride until the very end. You ladies have done it again and I never want it to end. Do not miss out on this….you will not be happy if you do.
Committed (By Taryn Elliott & Cari Quinn)is one of the stories in Love Ever After. I received an ARC of Committed for an honest review.
Oh I do love Simon and Margo...The Lost in Oblivion series is fantastic. You haven't read any? You must rectify the situation. Simon has some retraining to do and isn't taking it very well. Margo loves being creative with the band but is never sure when she'll be asked to leave. They both have grown so much and in Committed they jump in with both feet!
I love how this series has progressed and can't wait for the next one. You must take the time to read this whole series - FANTASTIC! Great, fast paced reading.
I am working my way through another outstanding box-set. Don't you just love box-sets where you get a taste of so many wonderful author that you may have not have read before? There is nothing like getting so many different genres in one set you have Cowboys, rock stars, hockey players, shifters, vampires and so much more! At the time of this post it is only 0.99 for 11 books you can't beat that, grab it now on release day it will go to 3.99.
Longing for Langston (Mavericks of Meeteetse Prequel) by Renee Vincent This was a wonderful heartbreaking romance about two best friends who loved each other but neither know it. One wants a dream in country music they other would do anything to make that dream come true.
Brody is your bad boy in every way, in some way he might need to grow up a little. I just love him and it breaks my heart to see his breaking. He wants what is best for Olivia he just wishes it would include him. The way he is going that just isn't going to happen.
Olivia is a sweetie who just wants to break it big in Nashville and if she could have Brody as her one and only that would be wonderful as well. Brody has always looked after her, been there for her and has been the love of her life for as long as she can remember. Things might just be looking up for these two but at what cost.
I really liked this story it was a very short touching read which sets this new series off with a bang. After reading this you will want to pre-order the next book in this series to find out what happens to this couple. The author gives a wonderfully written short story of the start of her new series. It is a very touching read that will have you hook as she gives you so very heated hot scenes. I guess you could say it has a cliffhanger but it is a prequel to this authors new series "Made For McKinely" This is one read that can't wait for this series to start. There is nothing that gets your heart as someone loving someone they can't have. Each of this series of Ms. Vincent will be a standalone but if you like me you won't be able to stop at just one. I believe I might have found another author I am going to come to love.
I was given Longing for Langston (Mavericks of Meeteetse Prequel) by Renee Vincent for an honest review. Thank you so much for letting me read this before it was released. I LOVED IT. *******************
Fighting for Forever (The Springs) by Elena Aitken:
This short story was a very touching read. I enjoyed how this relationship developed they were so cute. It was a story of overcoming ones fear. I haven’t read all of this series which this story made me want to read more to find out what I was missing. I thought it was darling how Rhy got on his knees and ask her to marry him with music in the background.
I loved how Rhy never gives up and goes for what he wants. Kari must overcome her fear and I think Rhy has just what the doctor order. This author sure makes you want to read the rest of this series to find out what all is going on. This was a very well written story for a short one. The author fills in so much in a short time. I look forward to reading more from her in the future. If you are looking for a touching wonderful read look no farther you have found it.
I have ordered my box-set just waiting for it to come out so I can finish reading the rest of this set.
Review for " forever Begiins with a Kiss" by Zoe York
Ward ham fans do not miss out! This Box set has Mari Beadie and Chase Miller's wedding in it! Mari and Chase are getting closer and closer to their wedding and fortunately Chase's little sister Audrey. Is wedding obsessed, however she is taking over the planning and has become the driving force and dictator behind the plans, which can be a bit irritating but at the same time for Mari , very helpful. Mari is traveling on tour doing a ten song set, so she really does not have much time for plans, unfortunately she also does not have much time to spend with her hunky fiancé Chase. I guess it is a good thing chase does not mind surprising her occasionally out on tour, the question is will the trailer doors and the venues hold up to the punishment . With the wedding only a few short weeks away Mari is looking foward to coming home and having some quality sexy times with her fiancé locked up in their house but it seems that, wedding planning sister in laws and town business manage to get in the way here too. This story , however though about Mari and chase does set up future relationships with Mari older brother Sam and it looks like the little drill seargent Audrey may be getting her story soon too, A must pick up and read for Zoe York fans, plus so many other great authors in this set!
Though only a novella, this book is filled with a lot. Funny. Romantic. Informative. It gives us a better understanding of Simon & Margo’s relationship and what makes them tick. And how they were truly made for each other. Even if it took them some time to figure that out themselves. We also get a little insight to who, what and why Lila is...well ...Lila. Which makes our wait for November a little more angsty.
I was given "Committed" as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I am so thankful to be a part of the group. EVERY ROMANCE READER, READ THIS SERIES!! I cannot get enough of the Lost in Oblivion series. I feel in it with the characters. You get, what I feel, is a insight on what bands deal with on the regular. Cari and Taryn know how to bring it all together. The romance is SWEEEET and the STEAMY love scenes make me :) :) :) Following Simon and Margo has of been a great pleasure. A beautiful couple with issues like everyone so every reader can relate. I really like the chemistry and genuine affection that these authors can bring to their characters. ❤️❤️❤️
This review is for Committed. I received an ARC of this novella in exchange for an honest review. This novella gives us a glimpse into Simon and Margo as a follow up to their last story. It deals with their day to day lives and the struggles they face getting their lives to "fit." I'm glad to see it added a little more to the recovery of Simon's singing voice. I also enjoyed seeing more of Lila's background and look forward to reading her book. I would highly recommend this story to anyone who enjoys the Oblivion books.
First I want to say another home run for this amazing writing duo. This book filled the long wait between Consumed and Shattered.
We had some questions answered in this book. Will Simon get back to how he was before? Can Margo let go of her insecurities? This is a short book but Simon and Margo's relationship grows better than ever.
We get some great Margo and Lila interactions with some hard truth thrown in. I love Lila and can NOT wait for more of her in the next book.
I was given an ARC of Committed for a honest review. Committed is a part of the Love Ever After Box Set
I was given ARC of Committed by Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott, in exchange for a honest review. This story is part of the Love Ever After: Box Set.
I loved this new story of Simon and Margo's! It made me laugh, cry and happy all at the same time! I also loved how the ending, it left the story open for so much more to come. 5 Stars from me!
REVIEW FOR COMMITTED by TARYN ELLIOTT & CARI QUINN
le sigh. As always, these two authors delivered another great story in the Lost In Oblivion series.
COMMITTED is a bonus novella slipped in between Simon & Margo’s book, CONSUMED, and Nick’s book, SHATTERED. For an LiO story, it’s a quick, sexy read that packs so much into its abbreviated page count.
We witness Simon’s struggles to regain his unique singing voice that helped propel the band to near super-star level before his injury. Will his biggest fear that he’ll never get it back or ever be the same become reality?
We watch the frustrations Simon and Margo face as they adjust to the new paths their careers have taken. Is Margo really committed to making it work long term? Her new bestie makes her face some hard truths and make some tough decisions.
We see new relationships forming that we’ll get to explore in hopefully the not-too-distant future. Something we’ve speculated on and guessed at in every book since almost the beginning is revealed. And it’s brilliant in its simplicity.
The stage is now pretty much set for Nick’s story. I loved COMMITTED. I have a feeling I’m going to be shaken by SHATTERED. I’m primed and ready. Bring. It. On.
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review. 4.5 Stars
This review is for Committed by Taryn Elliott and Cari Quinn and Fighting for Forever by Elena Aitken.
COMMITTED is a bonus novella about Simon & Margo.
Simon struggles to get his singing voice back and after 5 months is petrified that it will never come back. Margo and Simon are like two ships passing in the night because of their work schedules and this makes Simon unsure of their relationship and Margo waiting for the day that Simon ends it.
After Simon's failed attempt at band practice, Simon and Margo have a fight and Margo goes to see her best friend for advice. Will they be able to repair their relationship? Will Margo ever be able to commit to Simon? Can Simon convince Margo that she is the one? Follow the story and watch how things unfold.
Review of FIGHTING FOR FOREVER by Elena Aitkin
I really enjoyed this short novella. Its a continuation of the story of Rhys and Kari from Falling into Forever. Rhys and Kari are in love and Rhys wants forever. Kari has baggage from her past that is stopping her from taking the next step. Will Kari get past her issues and have her forever with Rhys or is she going to let her past control her future? Elena Aitken writes wonderful stories and this one is no exception.
I was given an Advance Reader Copy in exchange for an honest review.
Committed Lost in Oblivion 3.7 This series rocks with chemistry and intensity. The storyline is woven to perfection!! We all need to be “Committed” if we fell under the spell Ms. Quinn and Ms. Elliott wove so carefully in “Consumed.” I, for one, believed Simon and Margo were blissfully happy upon their return from St. John. I really thought Simon had slain Margo’s demons. I cried with Margo and for Margo when Simon told her to leave. And who would Margo turn to? Why Lila , of course. The “dragon lady” has been an elusive character but we get to see a different side of Lila in this novella. Will Margo be able to slay her own demons (with Lila’s help) in time to save their relationship? Will Simon give up on singing and turn to his own demon, alcohol, and live up to his nickname “Super Slut”? Lost in Oblivion is a romantic, sexy, sizzling hot and emotional series. This is a quick and easy read. I highly recommend the series if you haven’t read it!
This review is for Committed only by Taryn Elliot and Cari Quinn.
This is a continuation of Simon and Margo's story and a taste of Nick and Lila's story. There is nothing better than The oblivion stories. This novella gives you some information to move the story on but is also a standalone book that will have you wanting to read the stories prior to this.
In this novella you get a lot going on. You don't want to put the book down. Taryn Elliot and Cari Quinn did it again with another hot wonderful book leading up to the next book in the series leading you wanting more.
I am reviewing Longing for Langston by Renee Vincent, since I received an ARC to read ahead of release. This selection was very well written, draws the reader in very quickly, and has two very interesting lead characters. There is action, angst, and an erotic scene worth waiting for. A very "good read". I enjoyed it very much, and still remember the characters, the premise, how it made me feel. As an introduction to a series built around the characters living and loving in this small Wyoming town, it will draw you in to want a lot more of Renee's new series.
My review is for "Longing for Langston" by Renée Vincent. I was given the short story as an ARC.
It's the Prequel of her new Cowboy Romance Series. And I have to tell you I got hooked. I can't wait to read more of it. Brody and Liv deserve a book on their own. I want to know how their story continues. I loved every bit of it and I'm honestly sad it was so short. I know her Cowboy Romance will be as good if not even better and is really worth the read. If you like romance and some hot scenes dig in and start reading! You wont get disappointed!
This review is for the novella Committed only in this bundle. I received an ARC for an honest review.
I really liked this continuation of Margo and Simon's story. Ie delved a little deeper into what makes them so I good together. And what makes them unique, like how afraid Simon is about his singing or why Margo feels the way she feels about marriage. You also learn a little more about Lila which makes it even more exciting for the next book in the series.
I haven't had a chance to read all of these but I have read Forever Starts with a Kiss by Zoe York and that novella alone makes this one worth the prize. Knowing the other authors involved, I am expecting ten other amazing reads. In Forever Starts with a Kiss, it's time for Chase and Mari's wedding and as with any wedding the craziness abounds. This novella is fun, sexy and filled with good times and deep love.
Just finished Committed. I love Simon and Margo!! If you've been waiting for an update on how Simon is fairing, here it is. I literally couldn't put it down. Looking forward to seeing what happens next!
I read LONGING FOR LANGSTON and oh my!! Loved it! I fell in love with Brody instantly, what girl doesn't want a good bad boy in her life?!The characters are so relate-able. The perfect start to the Meeteetse series, this book has my dying to read the rest!
I'm just going to confess that authors Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott have just about killed me with the stories about Simon and Margo. Don't get me wrong, they've been well written and I loved these two characters so damn much but I feel like I've been to hell and back with them and it STILL isn't over. I mean sure life's looking a whole bunch better for them at the end of this one, but I'm still waiting for Simon's introduction to Margo's cray-cray family! As a fan of this series from the start, as I've watched this group of musicians lives change rapidly in more ways than one, as I've seen some of them find love and watched them face multiple obstacles I've grown to realize this series affects me so much due to the writing ability of this duo. I loved Committed because while it was absolutely everything I've come to expect from them it was also a bit different. We saw some real growth in these characters, we saw fears being laid to rest and some big decisions being made for the future and while there were moments where I wept for these two (because far be it from Cari or Taryn to write a book that doesn't bring me to tears) there were other moments that brought absolute joy and made me finally release the breath I've been holding since this couple's first book, Destroyed.
For fans of this series, I have no doubt you will be thrilled with the resolutions that come to pass in this book not to mention a very interesting look into someone important who is associated with the band. If you haven't read this series, I urge you to begin at the beginning because it's the very best place to start and in order to understand, know and love these characters you are going to want the complete picture.
Once again I was drawn into the world of Lost In Oblivion and came out breathing a bit easier, hopeful for their future and looking forward to what these authors have in store for their fans next.
I was given an ARC of Renee Vincent's Longing for Langston in exchange for an honest review. What a treat! I've found a new author to follow. Longing for Langston is a novella that kicks off Vincent's Mavericks of Meeteetse series. This novella is included in the Love Ever After boxed set. Longing for Langston is the story of Brody Galven and Olivia Langston. Brody is a former bad boy trying to restore his image. Olivia is an aspiring singer/songwriter. They have been friends since they were kids. Now they realize they feel more than friendship for each other. The problem is they're afraid to share their feelings. Olivia doesn't want to be hurt if Brody doesn't reciprocate her feelings and Brody doesn't want to stop her from following her dream of music stardom. The novella is an intro to the story which will be resolved in Book 1, Made for McKinley. I'll be following this sweet, sexy story as I want to know how things turn out. Can Brody and Olivia handle a long distance relationship? Will Olivia's career take off? And, will Brody's brother Rod realize that Brody's not a screw up and give him a chance to be his own man? This promises to be an awesome series and I look forward to following it.
COMMITTED 3.7 LOST IN OBLIVION LOVE EVER AFTER: ELEVEN ALL NEW ROMANCES This is the conclusion to the cliffhanger we got from Consumed 3.5, not really the conclusion but resolved some questions. This is Simon and Margo's story- PART 2. Will Simon's vocal cord injury prevent him from singing again? Will his voice be the same, better or worse? If not able to sing will modeling be enough? Will Margo's music over-shine his music career? Will Margo's music be her # 1 priority, more than Simon? Can she fully commit to him and him to her???Will we get a HEA? Read to get these questions answered!!! This book is well written and fast paced novella, only compliant wish it was longer. Highly addictive series!!!!!The NEW ADULT Rock Star Series - LOST IN OBLIVION # 0.5 -- SEDUCED # 1 -- ROCKED # 1.5 -- ROCK, RATTLE & ROLL # 2 -- TWISTED # 2.5 -- UNTWISTED # 3 -- DESTROYED # 3.5 -- CONSUMED # 4 -- SHATTERED (coming November 3, 2015) # 4.5 -- FUSED (coming February, 2016) Is it November yet??? Rec'd ARC for an honest review.
This review is for Committed by Cari Quinn & Taryn Elliott
When we left Simon & Margo at the end of Consumed, Simon was just starting to try singing again and Margo was accepted into the LA Philharmonic. Fast forward 5 months & they are both busy as hell. Margo with the Philharmonic along with studio work, and Simon with his modeling career (and vocal lessons). There's just one problem... they never really get to see each other anymore.
With Margo's insecurities about their relationship & Simon spending so much time with models, Margo feels like things are slipping away. Meanwhile Simon's running out of time to make his voice show worthy again & he feels as if he's letting not only his band, but his Violin Girl down. Will this couple make it through to the other side, or will their relationship be the next casualty of Simon's vocal injury? Especially since he can't get Margo to fully commit to their relationship.
I loved Elena story fighting for forever , I was an arc reader and I read this in less then 24 hours I loved how kari believed in love and with her realionship moved forward with rhy that they both planned to ask each other to marry each one so cute and I love how he just got on his knee with marry me music on the background. That my fav song. I think I will hint this idea to my BF lol, you did amazing job and looking forward to see what goes on next I reccomand all of Elena books. This just another great one !! I love them all
So far I've only read Forever Begins With a Kiss by Zoe York. This was a continuation of Mari and Chases story in the Wardham series. I love this series and all the characters in it. It was nice getting to visit Mari and Chase again and read about their wedding. I especially liked getting some more insight into the newer characters of the series that are moving into their own series. I highly recomend this romantic with a side of naughty series.
Project Virgin is a short story in "Love Ever After" collection. I really enjoyed reading it as I've read a couple of books by Megan Crane before and really loved 'em. Project Virgin is no different. It is a story of bad decisions, chemistry, one night stands, and a hot Daemon Patrick!

Fighting for Forever by Elena Aitken: I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
This novella was a wonderful HEA for Rhys and Kari! It was a story about fears and over coming them to achieve the ultimate happiness. It also adds a little to Archer's story. I can't wait to see what happens with everyone at "The Spring" next.

Laguna Heights by Kaira RoudaMy rating: 4 of 5 starsSecrets, betrayal, fear. Annie had lived with those most of her adult life. Coping was not easy but she managed until she got the shock of her life. A visit from the past. Now one shocking night of violence threatens to destroy all that she holds dear. Kaira Rouda has written a story that every woman should read. Annie was trapped within a prison that she created to escape the events of the past. Her predicament angered me because she didn't deserve the fall out she had to endure because she trusted the wrong person. The seriousness of this story is evident from the first page. One devastating event led to a spur of the moment the decision that could topple her whole world. Laguana Heights is gripping, heartbreaking and triumphant. NOTE: My review is for COMMITTED by Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott
ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date September 15, 2015
Committed (Lost in Oblivion, #3.7) by Cari Quinn & Taryn Elliott: With the crash and burn of Simon Kagan's singing career, things have been a little off between him and Margo Reece. The passion is there—it's always there—but he wants to make sure she knows just how invested and committed he is to making her happy. Even if that means breaking out a ring and convincing her to wear it. ••••••••••••
REVIEW: COMMITTED is a novella in the Lost in Oblivion rock star series by Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott found in the anthology LOVE EVER AFTER (Eleven All New Romances). This is the continuing story of classical violinist Margo Reece, and lead singer/front man for the rock band Oblivion Simon Kagan.
NOTE: If you have not read Simon and Margo’s story in Destroyed #3 or Consumed #3.5 then there may be some spoilers in my review.
Told from dual third person perspectives COMMITTED follows Simon as he struggles to regain his voice following throat surgery and six months of vocal rehab. Simon needs to get back with the band but he also knows that his vocal rehab is not one hundred percent, and with it comes the worries and the insecurity of losing his music career and the woman that he loves. Simon’s relationship with Margo isn’t moving forward and Simon begins to question Margo’s love and willingness to commit to their future.
COMMITTED looks at Simon’s recovery process and Margo’s issues of trust and self esteem as it pertains to Simon’s love and a happily ever after. Margo’s parents’ marriage is less than ideal, and our heroine isn’t willing to live a lie-Simon is a sex rock star and the women continue to fall at his feet. Simon only has eyes for one woman but Margo isn’t willing to commit to a future of potential heartbreak and pain.
All of the members of Oblivion play secondary and supporting roles including the band’s manager Lila. Lila and Nick’s storyline is next in Shattered November 2015
The premise is engaging and inspiring-there is always a hope for a HEA. The characters are realistic, passionate and playful; the romance is hot and sexy. Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott pull the reader into a magical storyline with amazing characters and impassioned love.
