Ethan fills a part of me that I never knew needed to be filled before. I give him something that he never knew he was missing.
Rule #11 – I want to make you feel ecstasy at least once a day. At least. Maybe twice. Three times. All day. I want to be with you all the time, near you, next to you, inside you. I need you...
We all have our strengths and weakness. We're all good at something and bad at something else. This is why we need each other. This is why it makes sense for Ethan and I to be together.
I'm the good girl, the careful, cautious one, who thinks before she acts. Ethan is the bad boy, the risk taker, the person who jumps into action regardless of the consequences. Sometimes you can't wait to think before you act, though. Sometimes you can't be careful or cautious. And sometimes you need to know when a risk is too great, and when you should reign in your recklessness and consider the repercussions.
This is why we're perfect together. I'm sure there's a lot more reasons, but I think that's one of them.
No matter what happens, we're going to find a way to be together...
I have to admit, I love the fishing scenes with Ashley and her mom. Them baiting a hook is PRICELESS!
FINALLY! At the same time, Ethan and his dad have some genuine bonding that is very touching. Allergies and all. 😪🤧 It turns into quite the adventure!
I listened to an author's copy of the audio book with CJ Bloom and James Cavenaugh leading the charge. Both are well suited for the characters. If there was one thing I could change, it'd be that the books were done in duet narration. Also, James does a better voice for Ashley's mom, in my opinion.
These two are going through it but they still cant keep their hands off each other.
With Ethan deciding its time to tell his dad about him and Ashley tensions are high and we are seeing great growth in his character and I love it. As for Ashley that girl is still making stupid decisions, annoying everyone and forever making me cringe. I do think that at this stage I just want to see her come across more mature and at times we are still seeing her come across so young to the point where its uncomfortable and frustrating. Ashley's mother is another character I'm so unsure of; at times I love her and she genuinely makes me laugh but a lot of the time I'm left feeling uncomfortable and so confused as to how she can be so comfortable talking about her daughters intimate life. She is certainly a character I have mixed opinions on.
I love how we are getting a much better balance of story and spice as the books progress and how much more intimate and comfortable these characters are with each other. With Ethan's dad being more aware of what is happening I'm left very interested in where that goes and how the dynamics shift and develop after that revelation.
That's exactly what Ethan is, though. He's insubordination incarnate.
Well, no spoilers, but we meet someone who I think might end up being my new favorite character! I still don’t trust Caleb (shocker), and honestly, I don’t trust the Dad either. That said, I did really enjoy the heart-to-heart between Ethan and his Dad in this episode—so at least there’s that!
Awwwwww Ethan, your romantic "lines" are really improving ;) congrats :P
I'm still kinda of worried about Jake, I bet he's not liking that he can't reach any of them and still hasn't got an answer.. I really don't want it to happen but, I think he's going to do something really stupid..
After faithfully reading the previous 10 parts of this serial, which I did enjoy, I picked up number 11 & before I was 25% in, I'd had enough. It was cute to start with, but all 4 main characters really started to annoy me. So too did the almost "stream of consciousness" ramblings of Ethan & Abigail. Really a case of TMI...& don't let me get started on the parents - puhlease. Maybe it's me but no more about these two kids & their happy family. I'll read something else that the author writes, in the future, but just not soon.
Well there was plenty of drama to be had in this "episode" if that's what they are called. And Dad rises up the charts after his previous questionable efforts.
This one is better than the last couple books. At least there was actual story happening, instead of 90% inner monologue. I still don't like Ashley, and her naivety and immaturity. It's hard to picture her ten years from now, being in an adult relationship. She's too clingy and it's a tad unrealistic Ethan being in to her. He's still amazing, and I loved the interaction with his dad
There are a couple of things that stand out in this segment of the story. One I can sort of relate to is the hilarious fishing scenes describing Ashley and her mom baiting a hook. I still shudder at the thought. And the other memorable thing is that at last, Ethan and his dad have “The Talk” Ethan has been putting off. In addition to telling him the truth of his and Ashley’s relationship, the two of them have a nice, long-overdue, bonding session. And there are some animal encounters that will keep the reader/listener either on edge or amused. These are just the highlights, but I felt the story was actually moving in a direction that didn’t always lead to private moments in the tent.
The Audible version continues to be narrated by: CJ Bloom and James Cavenaugh. I appreciate the life they bring to the story as they give us a better feel for the personalities of the characters. This story can certainly be an emotional ride for the listener, but each segment adds more information or challenge or humor to lead us into the next part. So on to the next and see where the author will lead us.
This is book 11 in Clark's Step Brother with Benefits series - a series of short, taboo, steamy romance reads that captivate more and more the more you read / listen. While this could be a stand alone there is definitely back story that is worth reading in previous books and each ends with you wanting more. Our main characters in this series are Ethan and Ashley who are step siblings and have started dating after being attracted to each other for longer than either care to admit. I think of all the books I've listened to thus far in this series - this is my favorite. I love the character and relationship growth that Ethan and his dad have in this book. It all but brought tears to my eyes - but no, those are just allergies - lol. Great narration and wonderful steam / storyline balance told in dual point of view. I can't wait to see how this budding relationship continues!

It only took forever for the whole family to be in on the secret relationship between Ethan and Ashley. I feel like Ethan and his dad were able to get a little closer once the secret was out as they were able to really talk about things. Mom and Dad are both on board for this relationship so it will be interesting to see how many times they are caught “together”. Ashley irritates me a little – she is all about the drama – she overthinks EVERYTHING! I would think if anything were to break them up, it would be Ashley’s insecurity and the fact that she is a drama queen and can be a little immature at times. I know she hasn’t had a whole lot of experience but come on!!! LOL! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I have been devouring these snipets of a broader book and did not stop to review each one and since the story continues to flow, even into the second season, I struggle to go back and provide individual reviews. Ethan and Ashley - is it really still just a week plus....I am feeling like so much time has gone by that more than half the summer should be over. When will Ashley decide to change colleges so that they won't be apart in the fall - heck weren't they only just out of their Freshman year? I just can't believe Ethan's prowess, how has his dick not fallen off for the amount he uses it? LOL
The family camping trip continues... Ethan and his father hike together, having a heavy, more serious conversation, one that they should have had years ago. But they also talk about his relationship with Ashley, so that cat's out of the bag. While the guys hike, Ashley and her mother end up fishing, and it's one of the funniest things I've ever read. I still love Ethan's fresh mouth, and if I ever hear someone say, "F*&% if I know", I'll remember Ethan fondly. CJ Bloom and James Cavenaugh are so perfect as they narrate these episodes! I really enjoyed this one! Ethan and Ashley continue to build a relationship with each other as they get to know each other better and figure things out. They are dealing with keeping things a secret and having a very hard time not showing affection, which is leading them to get caught and it forces the hand of how Ethan is going to tell his dad. They need to work on their communication and father/son relationship as well and this episode deals with that. I enjoyed getting to see the different sides to them and am excited to see what is going to happen next.
I’m still not interested in a dragged out story like this...
author is selling. I don’t care for the immaturity of most (not all) of the dialogue. The author has great potential as a romance writer but I’m also not interested in reading about immature older teenagers in adult erotica. I’m very tempted to purchase Caleb’s story but I seriously dislike this episodes nonsense. The stories are okay but not worth this investment in to the same 2 people. Smh.
So while this part of the story picked up right where the last one left off, it still took time to resolve the last cliffhanger. Ethan and Ashley each spend the evening with their respective parents and things don’t exactly go as planned. There were some funny moments and several heavy ones. And a new character was introduced. By the end there was no cliffhanger, but there is still a sense that there’s more to resolve.
Such a great series! This book got a little intense...both with Caleb and with the guys getting lost in the woods. Dynamics could really start changing now. But at least the big secret is out. Now how will the family deal with it? Can't wait to find out!
Yay, Ethan finally told his dad. Caleb is sweet he is basically the male version of Ashley. The dog was a funny addition to the story. Ethan and his dad finally being able to talk about everything was so sweet.

Immature and completely ridiculous it's what this series or better say chapters of a book are. And I am the masochist who has been reading it, caused need to know how it ends.
Where do I start... The tent being ripped the jealous Ethan ,Ashley's plan for her shower with Ethan. Ethan and his dad going for a hike and encounter the dog and then the bear.Ashley and her Mom trying to fish Caleb staying with them until Ethan and his dad get back !
Finally, the whole family is on the same page! There are still several issues to settle but things are certainly looking up! Looking forward to the season ending book 12.
I love this series. Mia is a fantastic story teller/ author...she makes you completely feel entranced in ash and Ethan stories and I love the narrative of both! Well done
Audible/arc Review I received a free copy of this book via Cherrylily ARCs and am voluntarily leaving a review. in this part of the story their all camping and it gets really funny . I have to say I like how they are not judging but excepting parents . Fantastic want more
These two can't help by being caught with they're pants down. Finally I was right about something, camping is dang funny. These two are just so well written and adorable together. I never thought I'd like erotica but this series is just so good.
First of all, Caleb is not a great secret keeper. It didn't take him long to forget he wasn't going to say anything. Second of all, Ethan is quite the storyteller. I love all the talking he does on the side. It's amazing. Lol
Now that their secret is out to their parents know about it. Whats going to be ne for Ethan and Ashley. Hopefully their parents can get Jake under control and they dont have to face any backlash about their newfound relationship
So this chapter of their story they finally delve into the past relationship of Ethan and his dad getting the air clean between the two about when Ethan's mom passed away.
