What happens when the prey becomes the predator? Bethany has no idea, she’s enjoying being pounced on too much.

Bethany Buchanan is a wererabbit among the werelions. At least she used to be with the werelions. Now she’s in Deal’s Gap, North Carolina hoping to create a home where she doesn’t have to hide (much) and can be herself (mostly). The neutral zone—where hybrids and unwanted abound—seems to be the perfect place for her. Her old werelion clan—don’t ask how that happened—may not have wanted her (or known what to do with her) but no one in the small town cares that she’s prey. Wait. There’s a hotter than hot and sexy as all get out, tiger-wolf hybrid (who has this habit of purring around her) is all about caring. He wants to eat her… in a very naughty way. He loves every odd inch of her wererabbit body and is willing to do anything to make her happy. Why? Because apparently Bethany is his mate and he’s never letting her go.

A mating between a rabbit and a tiger-wolf hybrid? Impossible? Nah, it’s totally pawsible.

This is the second story that I've read that takes the world created by Eliza Gayle in her Southern Shifters series and dips in to add a whole new dimension . This time the author is Ms Kyle whose work I'm increasingly enjoying as it's usually very funny and frequently hot. This book still has numerous light hearted moments because a mating between a rabbit and a tiger wolf hybrid is completely off the charts outrageous! Yet this author manages with total aplomb to make it work and I can honestly say it was a joy to read.
So our heroine is Bethany a rare white rabbit who was adopted by a family of were lions but she is tired of standing out anongst so many predators and has bravely sought a home of her own in Deals Gap shifter town where sanctuary for all is the message. Her first day doesn't quite go according to plan though as she meets a cheeky barman, a nasty lion and then of course there's Carter the deadly tiger hybrid who just turns out to be her Mate! Yikes what is a scared little bunny rabbit going to do now? Yes you've guessed it Bethany runs but she is about to become prey to a very persistent hunter!
Ok I wish it were longer as I'd like to have learnt the back stories to both Bethany and Carter but I was thoroughly entertained by this last night and if you wish to read about a patient loving guy who will do anything for his female then this story about Carter will fit the bill. Bethany had me chuckling with her inner monologue and her opinions but Carter has a fair old way of getting his point across too. Yes there is a sexy side but most of all it was a well written romp about shifters and I will look out for more in this series.
I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review

Tiny but tough - a white wererabbit kicks fanny!
“You are such a chick.” I widened my eyes in mock surprise. “No way. Are you sure?” ― Gena Showalter, Alice in Zombieland

A werebunny. Really? Why oh why, Bethany Buchanan wonders, did she have to be born a werebunny?! A white werebunny at that. Oh, and a white werebunny who was raised by a pride of lions, no less . . . Sigh.

When certain members of the Buchanan Pride decide that Bethany would be a ‘tasty appetizer’ she decides to move away, to Deals Gap, North Carolina, a safe haven for unusual shifters. Little did she know she was waltzing right into the same type of danger she tried so hard to leave behind.

Bethany is a great character. She may be an itty-bitty bunny in a big scary world but she is one tough cookie. Living in the pride, no matter how much her adoptive family wants to protect her, is dangerous – the males of the pride are intent on eating her – one way or the other, if you get my drift. So much for That nonsense!

But life in Deals Gap doesn’t look like it is going to be easy either, as she is pursued by yet another lion with itty-bitty bunny on the top of his appetizer list. Enter Carter, the tiger-wolf hybrid, who is determined to convince Bethany that he is her true mate, stage right. And you know what? Carter is good for her – but she doesn’t suddenly kowtow to him and his strength. Instead, the bunny is strong enough to stand up for herself, as well as taking a bit of assistance from her new mate.

I loved Bethany, Carter was one of the more amenable alpha males I have run across in a while, and Bethany’s adoptive parents and sisters were perfectly balanced. There is humor, thrills and a nice intro to the Buchanan in this first of a series. Apparently there is a whole “Southern Shifters” group of books out there written by several authors. I will have to check the others out when I get time. I am glad Celia is joining the group – her humour is awesome!

I received “Impawsible” from the author in exchange for a realistic review. All thoughts are my own. If you enjoyed my review, please click here and choose “Like”. It helps both me and my authors!

A very fun romance. The heroine is a bunny rabbit shifter that was raised by lion shifters. She has come to a new town full of misfit shifters--the square pegs that didn't fit in the round holes of life elsewhere. There she meets her mate, who is a tiger-wolf shifter. At first, there are a few scary things happening, because life for a prey-shifter doesn't feel safe in a town full of predator-shifters--and it some ways it really isn't safe. I really liked all the good guys, especially the heroine. Her relationship with her father and sister is fun. I liked the hero, but I wish we had gotten to know him better.

Hoping to create a home where she doesn’t have to hide, Bethany Buchanan moves to Deal’s Gap where no one cares that she’s prey…except for one sexy as all get out tiger-wolf hybrid in this charming paranormal romance. Another quick and furry shapeshifting read that provides enough chuckles and passion to brighten up the dullest day. This story introduces a new clan to Celia Kyle’s worlds and I can’t wait to read the next one.

Book - Impawsible
Series –Southern Shifters
Author – Celia Kyle
Type – Short shifter Romance
Cliffhanger: No
Overall Rating – 2.5 out of 5 Stars

White wererabbit, Bethany arrived in Deal's Gap to start a new life away from her werelions pack. Wile finding her away around the town and its people she met Carter a tiger-wolf hybrid and her mate.
Carter wants Bethany as his mate but needs to hold back because her past history with predators makes her run and hide.
When a former member of Bethany pack attacks her Carter defends his mate and eliminates the treat.

Like all Celia Kyle books this story is filled with humor and sweet moments between the main characters. A wererabbit and a hybrid tiger-wolf were fun to read and see how they manage to match.
As it happens with all the short stories I was missing some characters build, background, community feel, secondary characters connection. Even more the book appears to be part of a series so a connection with the series would have been welcomed.
I am learning that all these stories in fact are focused on the mating of the couple and some villain that usually threatens the female character and nothing else. I can see the appeal but I am getting tired of the pattern.

Cute, sexy and fun to read!

I loved the quirkiness of some of the characters., the sense of just meeting someone and knowing that you will absolutely love them forever. I got that from Bethany"s character. The story pace was fast, the action kept moving the scenes and then it ended too soon for me although it is a complete story. I wanted to read more about the characters and their lives and I'm looking forward to seeing what else happens in this series!

Prey with a protector

This author took to the Southern Shifters with the same sassy finesse that she brings to all her stories. I love how she makes her characters strong even when they seem like they should be weak. The story was fast paced and entertaining and makes me want to travel to Deal’s Gap to see if the fellas are as fine as she describes them. I would love to see more about the twins, so I hope the author brings us their HEAs.

She was a bunny shifter so she got away from her werelion Family and moved as far away as she could. Then she went to have her car serviced and met her mate who is a huge werelion wolf hybrid..and here she was just a tiny little white bunny and this big huge 6 foot five hunk of a man is now her meet. So what is she do she runs like a little bunnies would do she's tired of being prey.. The book was cute and so funny parts some scary parts of course I mean after all she is just a little white bunny when she changes and you made her sister in this one which is the next book.

Quick, Sexy, Fun!

Celia Kyle is one of my "go to" authors. I know without a doubt that I'm going to love her book. Impawsible doesn't disappoint. Quick, Sexy, Fun! Just what I need to relax after a long, busy day. A cute bunny shifter (Bethany) and a strong, sexy tiger/wolf hybrid shifter (Carter) are such fun! Add a dangerous predator (Paxton) and Bethany's lion shifter family into the mix, stir the pot and bam! the perfect recipe for a delightful read.

Too short

What will a white bunny do with a tiger-wolf hybrid? Betty was looking for a new start when she ran from Carter. Are they fated mates? Will Carter be able to save Betty from a danger from her past? Find the answers in this novella. My only complaint is that I always want Ms. Kyle’s novellas to be longer.

Charming story

I loved the diversity of Deals Gap in types of shifters. Bethany was so much stronger than she thought herself to be. Love the sexy tiger-wolf shifter named Carter, her mate. The family is a hoot.

Southern Shifters: ImpawsibleCelia Kyle

Reviewed by SFF Dragon

This is definitely one I'll read again and again. I loved it and can't wait for the next one.

Celia Kyle is one of my favourite authors and I absolutely loved 'Impawsible', the first book in her new series The Buchanan Clan as well as a Novella in the brand new Eliza Gayle's Southern Shifters Kindle World multi-author series of books, novellas and short stories. I was given a copy by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Curvy, clumsy and really sweet white were-rabbit, BBW Bethany Buchanan has moved to Deals Gap, North Carolina, home to the weird, wacky and unwanted, in the hopes of being able to start a new life that doesn't involve being scared to death, raped or lunch for the predators. Her adoptive family, the all lion Buchanan Clan, are not happy about it, but then she didn't tell them about what happened at the last full moon. So here she is, and only the third person she meets is her mate. Which would be great, except for one tiny little problem....he's a predator so she does the only thing she can think of. Yep, she runs away. Well...drives and hopes her car makes it up the hill. She's not really counting on the Tiger-Wolf hybrid waiting for her when she gets home, but Carter Evans isn't going to let his mate escape him, no matter what, especially as he never thought he'd be given one, and he'll do what he has to, even kill, to protect her.

This is a sweet novella that made me laugh and has steamy bits with a HEA, but there's a lot more to the story, it's got a twist in the tail and it's well worth reading. It has a little heart pumping terror, some life saving action and was so funny in places I'm still chuckling at the images in my head. I'll never be able to look at a white rabbit again without seeing it dressed like a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, or a purse without it being clutched by Golem. No, I'm not going to give any spoilers, you really have to read this book. It's a great read and I can't wait for the next one.

If all your looking for is two mates groping for each other and finally getting there with
some running and chasing a little death, some sex and No real discernible plot ?
except for My mate ,Mine! Mine! Mine! then this is for you.... White Rabbit shifter
raised /adopted by lion shifters who are leaders of their clan (why? never is explained)
and even though her parents are leaders it seems of the clan it doesn't seem protect our
h from mental and physical and attempted sexual abuse..soo she comes to deals gap for a
fresh start and finds her mate and and old enemy gets mate, mate kills enemy family drops
by mainly to embarrass her and confirm the kill was justified for the lion who'd attacked was a t
threat in the past.... then they have sex the end :(
and the sex scene was kinda boring and uninspired, both seemingly still insecure in their heads,
what if,are they sure s which felt kinda lame after all that had happened, even though only a day or
two had passed..
deep sigh.... Ms. Kyle has written some GREAT stories both as herself and as Erin Tate, I just ADORED
Alien Commander's Chosen,if you wanna see something really, really GREAT by Ms.Kyle Read That!!!!
it was soo much fun, with real depth and character and development soo interesting and jusr plain NEAT!!!
ok,sure it's a much longer story but just because a story is short doesn't mean it can't have real depth or
character or be soo interesting you almost feel like your cheating the author at it's cheaper price....
see E.A. Prices Grey Wolf pack series etc. great books all much longer but just a dollar or Jackie Ivie's
Vampire Assassin League books for just.99 cents a short story doesn't have to leave you feeling short changed
and while I LOVE some of Ms.kyle's work this was not one for me... I've already hit delete..I won't give up,but I will
be more wary...
p.s. I've Read 3 books now in the Southern Shifter series : Werelock by Mina Carter , Impawsible (Buchanan Clan Book 1)
by Celia Kyle and Furever After by Michelle Fox and I've yet to find one I've been happy I took the time to purchase and read...
but Hey, That was my experience hopefully yours will be better.... Good luck and Have fun...

The Bunny and the Wolf/Tiger Hybrid

I think before you add any other characters in, you already have a good Wizard of Oz song going on. But the other characters do bring a lot to the story, so we'll keep and encourage them!

Even though the title makes you think the novella will be filled with puns, it's really not. It actually is such a fast read that there's not really much time for puns. I've read several of Celia Kyle's books in the past, either by herself or co-authored by other amazing PNR authors, and this one holds up in quality to those others. If you're looking for a glimpse of Deals Gap (Southern Shifters) or something short written by Ms Kyle, this might be the book for you. The three Kindle Worlds books I've read from the Southern Shifters offerings have been great, and ill probably be checking out more in the future!

Rabbit, lions, tiger/wolf oh my!

I am beginning to think Ms. Kyle cannot write a bad book. As one of my favorite word of her hers she is awesomesauce. I love how she matches prey with predator as mates. It's unpredictable but man oh man. The chemistry between Bethie and Carter rocks your world. Bethany is a rare white rabbit shifter who was adopted by the Buchanan Clan were lions. Although her family loved and looked after her certain members of the clan still treated her like prey. She decides to move to Deal Gap,NC where it's a neutral zone. Once there she meets her mate by accident. Everyone knew her scent and once she seen a commotion where a lion shifter came crashing out the window of the mechanic shop. Then she see another hybrid part wolf part tiger. He's humongous. Next she see the fine sexy Greer again who is the second in charge. When seeing all three she gets a little scared and they all sense her fear. Then Bam! Instantly everyone realize that Carter and Bethany were mates. It was the way the two looked at each other. To think she always thought she would never have a mate and you find him throwing Jaxon out of his shop. Bethany immediately jumps back in her car and run because of fear. Believing she was alright and safe she arrives home from a day of shopping. Out of nowhere she sees Carter who admittedly told her she was his mate and would protect her against anything one and everyone. After an eventful day of being chased, a killing, and an unexpected family reunion things just goes crazy. This is a really funny and hot book. I recommend this book along with others from this series. If you haven't read any of Ceclia Kyle's book you must read this but please check out the Ridgeville Pride series that got me hook on her.

Loved reading about Carter and Bethany. Carter is a wolf/tiger shifter. He shifts into his tiger but takes on attributes of a wolf as well. Bethany is a rare white rabbit shifter. She doesn't have a lot of self esteem or believes in herself all that much. Her family adopted her and they happen to be lion shifters but love her so very much. Her fear comes from the other groups in her pride not her family. Her family doesn't know all of what happened to her throughout her childhood and even adulthood. They know some but not all. Her mom and dad are very protective of her as well as her annoying sisters lol. Love her dad...sweet protective daddy! Ha. Anyways she moves from her pride to a new town Deal's Gap, Tennessee which is a shifter town. She first meets Greer who's the Alpha's right hand and he's charming and SUCH a flirt. I'm new to the Kindle Worlds so this should be interesting! Carter couldn't be more sweet and hot and charming and hawt...yes I said it twice! Cause yeah he is! He wouldn't change a thing about Bethie...love his nickname for her. She actually runs when she figures out he's her mate...so cute she ran off. He thought so too he found her later and coaxed her out of her house with the help of her sister Hannah on the phone. This is really quite humorous and that's to be expected with Celia Kyle right? Love her stuff! This is a different shifter town there isn't an "alpha" per se just someone who oversees and keeps things on the up and up. We don't get to meet him in this book. Just his second Greer. Just loved this book and it was too short but that's ok cause loved it anyways!
