Luigi Pirandello; Agrigento (28 June 1867 – Rome 10 December 1936) was an Italian dramatist, novelist, poet, and short story writer whose greatest contributions were his plays.

He was awarded the 1934 Nobel Prize in Literature for "his bold and ingenious revival of dramatic and scenic art"

Pirandello's works include novels, hundreds of short stories, and about 40 plays, some of which are written in Sicilian. Pirandello's tragic farces are often seen as forerunners of the Theatre of the Absurd.

Seis personajes en busca de su autor me ha encantado. Es su obra más famosa. Pero los otros títulos que vienen en esta edición antigua no se quedan atrás. Enrique IV, Así es, El título, Buenavida, El otro hijo.

是现实，不是实验。我现在才想到，之所以皮兰德娄的短篇小说如此迷人，或许正因为它们总是某种戏剧的准备，不像在其他作家笔下就只是短篇小说而已；而他的戏剧里这些早已成为现代人不费吹灰之力就能理解的套路的东西，现在读起来仍如此震撼、崭新，也是因为对他来说戏剧固然比一切都更为真实，但这种真实毕竟永远是瞬时的、相对的，其中永远含有一种不可遏止的对绝对真实的渴望，而它就像斯特雷勒所说随时都会从理性消解它的努力中间迸射出来。（如果早知道他的戏剧这么好看且好懂我一定会选择详注单行本或者更全的合集，而不是这个篇目很少又毫无注释的本子，但如果那样我今年就根本没有精力去读，所以这种圈懒人钱的版本还是有用的。）
