Alone and adrift, Groot's got nobody to turn to now that his best pal Rocket Raccoon has been kidnapped! What's worse, cosmic calamity continues to strike, and when a cosmic storm threatens to destroy an entire world, it's up to Groot to stop it...but he can't do it alone! Featuring special guest stars Dawn Greenwood and the Silver Surfer!
This is favorite running series right now (next to Captain Marvel and Ms. Marvel) and Issue #3 doesn't disappoint in the least. Actually, I'm feeling a bit emotional thinking about it. I adore the way Groot's dialogue is depicted (where the words are blown up and art is inserted inside the text). One particular instance of this is heart-wrenching. I don't know too much about Silver Surfer, but imagine it's fine not to (though I certainly want to get to know him now!) No complaints, can't wait for more!
As Groot roams cluelessly in the space trying to save his kidnapped best friend Rocket, he meets DAWN GREENWOOD AND THE SILVER SURFER by accident. Together, they save a planet from being destroyed. Another awesome issue. I kinda wanna read the next one and not read it in the same time. Cause I don't want it to end fast and want to know what happened afterwards too!
He meets the silver surfer and helps fight off some mean people on a planet. Then continues on to find Rocket.
I love how in the midst of trying to find Rocket, Groot is easily distracted to help others along the way. I think Groot is very noble in helping those who are in trouble.

I LOVED IT. I didn't know much about the Silver Surfer but now I'm quite intrigued to find out more about him. Stunning artwork, heart, and humor - it's just a great comic series all around.
