Billy Lewis thinks he might be gay. He’s also thinks he might be a submissive. The only thing he’s really sure of is that, at twenty-three years old, it’s time he found out what he’s really into. A hotel full of kinky gay men seems like the perfect place to find some answers. A little bit of alcoholic courage, and he’s ready to dive right into the deep end.

Gareth Vaughn isn’t the kind of man to second guess who he is or what he wants. He’s gay. He’s a dom. He’s at the hotel looking for a weekend of no strings fun with a willing sub. But, he’s not the kind of man who’ll leave a boy who’s drunk and out of his depth to sink or swim among strangers.

Gareth and Billy couldn’t be more different, but they’re both at the hotel seeking something—and they’re both about to get a whole lot more than they expected.

It’s been quite awhile since I read the last book in this series, and I loved diving back into the world of ‘Sun, Sea, and Submission’. In line with the other books, the story focuses on the beginnings of a D/s relationship—this time with an inexperienced, not to say pretty clueless, sub and an experienced Dom who knows exactly what he wants. The differences between them seem vast, but as it turns out, they are exactly what the other needs in a partner. I had a lot of fun reading about their exploits and I really enjoyed this entertaining and very hot story.

Billy is adorably clueless on several levels, but he has the courage to go after what he thinks he may want. He has played a little with both men and women, and believes he prefers men. He has also experienced one pretty forceful kiss, leading him to the conclusion he may be submissive. Then he has done some research on the Internet, so he thinks he knows the basics—enough to book himself a weekend in a resort for kinky men. Boy is he in for a surprise or two. When he wakes up after getting drunk he finds himself in a stranger’s bedroom, except it turns out he knows the man who is a security guard in the building where Billy works. All he knows is that following the man’s orders makes him harder than he’s ever been.

Gareth is a typical Dom in many ways: he knows what he wants, goes after it without a second thought, and yet is a gentleman to the core. He is also extremely patient, a great teacher, and doesn’t expect more than a one-weekend fling. But as soon as he realizes exactly how far Billy is out of his depth, Gareth takes him under his wing and helps the newbie sub discover what he likes. Gareth ends up liking this so much that the idea of ending the weekend becomes unacceptable…

If you like stories about men discovering their kinky side, if you want to see what that process of discovery looks like from the sub’s as well as from the Dom’s point of view, and if you're looking for a read that is funny, entertaining, and very hot, then you will probably like this novella.

This was really cute, really fluffy! A quick and easy read, that, unfortunately, probably won't really stick with me, but enjoyable enough that I'll check out some of the earlier books in the series when I need a quick pick me up.

Billy's seeking something. He's not sure exactly what it is, but he believes he'll find it at the hotel. He's been with both men and women, but he needs something more. He thinks he might be a submissive. When he meets Dominant, Mr. Vaughn, he's pretty sure he's a submissive. Gareth's had his eye on Billy, so he jumps at the chance to show Billy what it's like to be a submissive. Billy and Gareth quickly realize that this is not just a learning experience. Hopefully, this isn't the last one in the series!

It's weird. BSDM isn't really my thing, but for whatever reason, Kim Dare has the ability to hit all of my buttons. For a short story, this is well-written, well-paced, and STEAMY. Reading this book will definitely get you hot and bothered. Don't say I didn't warn you!

A lovely *hot* little story from Kim Dare :)

Billy is cute and gorgeous in his submissiveness; Gareth, or rather, Mr Vaughn!, is rather equally gorgeous in his dominance. Putting them together is breath-taking :)
