Missing Milt is Book 7 in the Garden Girls Christian Cozy Mystery Series.
BONUS - RECIPE INCLUDED!
Amateur sleuth, Gloria Rutherford, and the Garden Girls are back! When Dreamwood Retirement Community resident, Milton Tilton, comes up missing, and no one seems to have a clue as to his whereabouts, Gloria agrees to help with the investigation as a favor to her sister.
With her already full schedule and her grandkids’ upcoming tree fort construction/sleepover, plus trying to plan a fall party at her farm; she calls on the Garden Girls to help her solve the mystery of the missing man.
As the clues are uncovered, they point directly at a lovesick stalker, who also happens to be Gloria’s friend, as the prime suspect. On top of that, there’s also the possibility that perhaps the missing man doesn’t want to be found.
Gloria’s intuition tells her that maybe he has met with foul play, especially once they discover possible ties to the mafia.
Will they find Milt alive - or is it already too late?
Another fun Garden Girls mystery, though no-one does any gardening. So, I do wish in each episode there would be at least a little garden talk or work. I'm not crazy about the spurts of romance either but in all it was still fun to read. Would love to see more of Frances and Eleanor.
Missing Milt ( Garden Girls Christian Cozy Mysteries Series Book 7) by Hope Callaghan
I love these Cozy Mystery books so much! These ladies take detective work and murder to a whole new level! Funny, suspense, love too! A must read for all who love books like these! Thank you Hope Callaghan for another great read!
Gloria Rutherford the leader of the Garden Girls was preparing for her grandsons visit by getting the supplies together to build their tree fort. Her sister Liz calls and wants her to to find Milton Tilton a missing friend of Frances who lives in Liz's community. Gloria always has more than one thing going on. In between looking for Milton she is planning a fall party and hayride at her farm. Surprize ending!
The Garden girls are back in action in this cute cozy series. With most of the characters on the older side it is very appealing to many readers. There are 19 books in this funny squeaky clean mystery set. Francis is concerned when her friend from their senior complex goes missing. Who kidnapped such a sweet gentleman? Stand alone reading without the previous books. I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
The Garden Girls, Gloria, Ruth, Liz and Margaret don't have a murder to solve, this time. Now it's a disappearance. One of the residents of Dreamwood Homes, Milton Tilton, has gone missing. A nice little story with Dot, the diner owner, the police boyfriend and Gloria's two mischievous grandsons.
Very good book but I like all of Hope Callaghan. Her books have twist and turns. Good characters that all get along well. The very active grand kids come to visit and all if the small knows them. The book takes place on a farm with an interesting life style. The end took me by surprise with a smile.
This was the first garden girls mystery I've read and I really enjoyed it. It's nice to be able to not have to have read all the earlier books in the series to enjoy this book. There were great characters and the plot was easy to follow. Not overly violent. Think I'll pick up the others in the series.
I love how this book tells us that Millie and Gloria are cousins. A great connection. I look forward to reading the cruise one being I am about to go on one. It makes it more fun. Millie and Gloria together! Ok enough about that. I'm glad the Milt case was solved but was even happier at the surprise ending! Recipes included.
Cozy mysteries ~ Garden Girls Christian ~ Missing Milt ~ I love the main character's humility, knowing her limitations, and how she keeps friendships going, thereby sharing her abilities with them and they share their abilities with her. I love being reminded, in a story, that real people pray daily and read the Bible. Thank you!
It was SO GOOD! 😊 There were alot of changes happening with the Garden Girls in this story and some were happy but there was also some sad but they turned out to be good in the end. Frances drove everyone NUTS 😵 about Milt but it turned out okay in the end. I'm itching to read the next book to see what those girls get into next. 😉
Gloria has another mystery to solve. Milt an elderly man from the rest home has gone missing. As all the ladies at the rest home are keen on him it could prove difficult to solve. Seventh book in the garden mystery series and by this point I feel as if I know all of the characters personally. Enjoyable read
Was pleasantly surprised by the Garden Girls Series. I had tried reading another series by the same author and (the cruise ship setting, forget the name) and did not find it realistic. For some reason I find this setting more believable.
Hope has a way of keeping every book in the series engaging. The characters always have similar but a few new characteristics showing. You think you know what's going to happen and then the story takes a turn that you never thought of. A great read as a single book or as a series.
The story is classically good, and a simple cozy story. However, beginning to feelb a bit rushed and the plot is more or less predictable. All the characters are super interesting and it’s worth the read for sure.
All of the Garden Clubs cozy mysteries are a delight. Great charactors, family values, nd a good mystery. Toss in some romance. It is the best way to spend an evening. Sure beats watching TV.
Gloria is asked to help find a man that has been missing for several days. She enlists her sister and the Garden Girls to help solve the mystery. Very enjoyable book with a touching ending.
This one had my guess all wrong. I enjoyed finding Milt. There were so many ways this could have gone you had to keep reading to find the answer. I hope y’all will enjoy it too.
Oh man this is the book I've loved forward to since I started reading if. This author knows how to paint a picture. You think everything is on place for the story to go another a CD boom you're sent another way. Thoroughly am awesome read!
I love all of Hope Callaghan 's books, but this one was a real mystery. I didn't know who the suspect was until the very end! And I got all teary eyed at the end too! I won't spoil it for you!
Another story in this Christian cozy series. The end was a bit predictable, but still enjoyable. I have some difficulty with the misogyny; I'm the age of Gloria, the main character and my husband of 43 years would never call me his "girl", among other examples.
I found this book to be a little boring. There was too much character development And not enough "who done it". I loved the ending, that was a twist I did not expect. The rest of the book was just blah blah blah.
Gloria is asked by her sister to find a missing man who has many girlfriends. While trying to do that she is helping her grandsons build a tree house. She plans a hayride for a special event. Great clean reading
If you love a sweet cozy with characters you will love and a sweet story that will keep you turning the page then Hope Callaghan's books are a must read
