Since I'm the author I will limit this review to a brief synopsis of the story. Thad Mafet longs for a better job than in a small Oregon Mountain town. When he's suddenly given a murder to investigate about everything possible goes wrong...including help from his two sixty-five year old deputies, widows Gran and Frieda Rose.
The trio travels half way around the world to solve this mystery, discovering more crimes (and maybe committing a few) during the trip.
