Jesse Drake knows what people see when they look at her. Tactical clothing, tattoos not the typical woman men fall for. But ahe hasn't time to worry about that. Making sure clients are safe and that her plans are followed to the letter. Sebastian has made his own money. Now a billionaire running numerous companies. It's a long way from where he started, but he doesn't take anything for granted. Now he has Blackwell Tactical Security working his gala. What he didn't expect was the gorgeous Jesse being in charge of the group of security personnel working. But obviously she's very good at her job and when suddenly he needs personal security, she's his obvious choice. This is the third in this series, with characters from previous books making reappearance. Although it could be read as a standalone. Can the woman who is a straight talker and no nonsense attitude finally admit her feelings. Will Sebastian find out who is stealing from his companies and trying to kill him. Is it the same person. Or is there more at play. Again Buck and Randy totally steal the story every time make an appearance. Can't wait to read more frim this author

UNDER HER PROTECTION is so dang goOD! Sebastian and Jesse are smart, skilled, and sexy together. Jesse gives ‘spectrum rep’ vibes, and is super cool in her straightforward, bad@ssness. She’s one lucky girl to have caught Sebastian’s eye. The storyline is unpredictable, entertaining, dramatic, comedic, and sexy-sexy times. This is a great series. Buck and Randy threaten to steal every scene they’re in — even Marcus hanging in the background there begs me for attention, every time. I’ve developed quite the crush on the I-know-his-antics-are-hiding-his-pain Buck 🖤

Under Her Protection had me laughing out loud, smirking, anticipating the next move, intrigued, and absolutely falling more in love with the characters in this series.

Jesse is one badass female operator, and I want to be just like her when I grow up! I love her no filter thoughts and outspoken ways. There is no pretence with her. What you see is what you get, and does Sebastian want what he sees!

Seb is an absolute sweetheart, gentle yet utterly relentless in his pursuit of Jesse, pushing her boundaries while respecting her skills. I love this couple, who made me laugh so much even as they steamed up the pages.

I cannot get enough of Randy and Buck! These two are hilarious and so essential to the story. Jason is definitely a character who has piqued my interest, as he seems to have a lot going on.

The plot definitely kept me hooked, from the first attempt on Seb’s life to the multiple issues that crop up alongside it, as well as the cute ways Seb and Jesse navigate their feelings and relationship.

I absolutely loved the team pitching in and staying on to keep it real and fun.

If you love romantic suspense with characters you want to keep after you’re finished, I don’t know what you’re waiting for???? Grab this one!

Opening up this story felt like walking back into a party filled with good friends. I loved being reunited with Buck, Randy, Marcus, and the agents of BTS.

I've loved Jesse's no-nonsense persona in Under False Pretenses, and I loved how she refused to change who she was even when our dear Sebastian attempted to lay claim.

But let's be honest, no one claims Jesse without permission.

The stakes started out high and didn't slow down! I was hooked from the first page and loved every twist and turn!

Jesse and Sebastian's story is one you don't want to miss. This is part of the Blackwell Tactical Security Series but can be read as a stand-alone. If you've read any of the other books in the series, you'll recognize some of the inter-connecting characters. She's tough, blunt and dangerous. After someone tries to kill him in his own bed she's hired to protect him and keep him alive. This book is fast paced with lots of danger, drama and suspense. When they go into lockdown with close proximity, chemistry starts to come into the picture. He sees her like no one has and she is not used to guarding her heart. A page-turner overflowing with danger, explosive chemistry. An ending you'll like. I read a free arc copy via Booksirens and voluntarily chose to write a review.

I absolutely loved this book! The writing was so good, and I loved the way the FMC was written. The way she didn’t always understand emotions or react to things the way people expect her to was something I really appreciated. I feel like that’s not something you see talked about enough, and it made her character stand out to me. I honestly enjoyed this so much and would definitely recommend it!

I absolutely loved this book it’s full of so much suspense, twists, surprises, riveting scenes, tension, gripping, details and so much more that’ll have you turning pages to the end. I loved Jesse and how amazing, courageous, and capable of so much. Sebastian will surprise you with how he deals with the challenges in front of him. I really enjoyed Buck and Randy they are so comedic I loved their antics.
