After months of planning, Eve and Aspen’s wedding week is finally here, and Lydia Alexander couldn’t be more thrilled. She’d been there to witness the birth of the couple’s whirlwind, storybook romance, and, while she has pretty much given up hope of finding something like it for herself, she couldn’t be more thrilled to stand at Eve’s side for her big day.
Zann Silva has always been more focused on her career as a documentarian than her love life. In fact, the only love on her radar is Aspen and Eve’s, which she plans to spend the week celebrating to the full extent possible in the days leading up to Aspen’s wedding.
Neither of them are expecting much more from the week than some quality time with old friends, plenty of sunshine, and maybe a few shenanigans. And while those expectations are certainly met, neither of them could have ever anticipated the magnetic pull they felt the moment they saw the other. Will they take a page from Aspen and Eve’s book and find a happily ever after for themselves, or is their week together destined to become nothing more than a fond memory?
Low angst, high quality love story. This is the perfect sequel to The Plus One! This universe of characters is so fun to hang out with and I loved that along with seeing how Aspen and Eve have progressed, Lydia gets a chance at finding her own HEA. Also, talk about escalating quickly and never taking the foot off the gas for these MC’s!! Zann is such a perfect match for Lydia- the complimentary personalities, work ethic, and physical attraction they share makes for such a beautiful pairing!! I read this one in a day (per usual for a book by MJ for me) and I was sad when it was a over— can’t wait for Kit to get her “dibs” met at the next event 😉😍
The Plus One has been my go-to comfort book when I need to be swept off my feet by Aspen just like Eve was, and this couldn’t have been a better sequel to continue their love story and give Lydia hers. I loved the moments with Lydia in book one, and all the love and chaos of their friendships with Jack and Kit and Michael. This was such a sexy, sweet and thoroughly enjoyable continuation of all of the things I loved about book one. I loved seeing another side of Eve and Aspen through their friends, and the teasing and support that came with Lydia and Zann falling in love the way Aspen and Eve did. I can’t wait for Kit’s story!
MS Duncan has written a wonderful story that gives us the wedding we hoped for with Eve and Aspen. They have a week of planned things to do with their friends that are in the wedding party. We meet Lydia and Zann they each know the group of friends that Eve and Aspen hang out with but they have never meet until now. Its love at first sight but it was when they touched each other they knew instantly is was their other half. We see how they fall for each other as they learn more about each other during the week long of activities that is planned for them. With the banter of the trouble two-some twins (Kit and Jack) it makes this story fun and laughing with all the crazy things they do but we see and feel how fast Zann and Lydia fall for each other and how perfect they fit together a wonderful story as always
This was an enjoyable read. The only criticism I have is that I honestly don't think the book needed to be as long as it was because there were a few things that seemed redundant. Still definitely worth reading and the spice was spicing 🥵🔥
