Erin Rosehill just wanted to help people, but when she joins the 264 firehouse she’s woefully unprepared for the people she’ll have to work with and the emergencies they’ll have to face.
Nymphs flooding the streets. Werecats stuck in trees. Hikers lost in fae rings. All normal, but what’s not normal is them turning up with Faedust in their system. Deadly and delirious, Faedust is not to be trifled with.
Now it’s a race against the clock to find the people behind this, before the city is overrun. What will Erin and her new friends do? Especially when evidence starts to suggest the people behind this might be a lot closer than she initially thought?

Welcome to the 264 has an extremely fun premise and an enticing plot. Unfortunately, the characters fell a bit short for me. With 6 different narrators, I simply don't think there was enough time dedicated to each one to get a good grasp of all facets of their character. I love the conceptual thinking of it all but I would've appreciated just a little more explanation of how everything works, the magic system especially. I think it relies a tad too much on the reader already understanding certain things.
Overall, this book delivered on everything it promised, and I really enjoyed the story! At times, I wished for a little more backstory for the characters, and I hope the next book will answer most of my questions.
I absolutely loved the unique magic system, though I would have appreciated a more condensed, easy-to-reference explanation of how it all works.
