This manga is proof that you can tell a story with meaningful plot, with great characters and erotic scenes all in one volume.
I love the art, I can't say how much. The joy and the sorrow in the characters faces, everything just felt so real and it gripped me.
I'm really excited that this is going to be released in Germany, too. Hopefully enough German fans will appreciate it so more Manga like this will get a chance for a release here.

The Right Way to Write Love and The Monster Falls Apart are two stories linked through characters to Ogeretsu's Love Whispers in the Rusted Night .
The second one, focusing on Kan-chan, Yumi's violent boyfriend in the previous manga, is especially interesting.
The tone is generally lighter than in Love Whispers... but the characters are equally well rounded and sympathetic. Less angsty but still heartfelt and compelling.
Very charming - and I like the author's soft spot for prominent canines in her characters' smiles... ^_^

Die titelgebende Story fand ich nicht berauschend, aber der hintere Teil "Monster Untied" hat mich sehr positiv überrascht. Viele Gefühle in einer kurzen Story!

En este volumen encontramos dos historias:
ch.1-2) Renai-rubi no Tadashii Furikata (My rating 3.5)
Aquí, el personaje principal es tóxico-amargo por su tiempo en la escuela secundaria, y particularmente, con Natsuo, un "matón" que parecía prosperar atormentándolo - y su desafortunado objetivo es ... Natsuo, un joven simplista e inepto con pocas gracias sociales. Su brillante idea es hacer que Natsuo se enamore de él y luego dejarlo de la manera más humillante posible. Excepto que no cuenta con que Natsuo sea adorable en su propia forma inepta y estúpida.
Esta estuvo bien , entretenida pero no fue wow, aunque no totalmente hubo insta-love. Digo no totalmente por que técnicamente los protagonistas se conocían del colegio, aunque uno de ellos no reconoció al otro. Me encantó la apariencia y actitud del uke pues era super tierno pero pecaba de tonto hermoso, pero su ternura lo salvó y el seme pues, no se, no me gustó su actitud y en cuanto a su apariencia, era lindo pero no lo salvo de ser un maldito.
ch.3) Hodokeru Kaibutsu (My rating 4)
La segunda historia es un spin-off de Sabita Yoru Demo Koi wa Sasayaku, el sorprendente manga de Ogeretsu Tanaka sobre el abuso de pareja, y lo que le sucedió a Ken, el abusador, después de que su relación terminara. Fue lindo leer esta historia porque Kanchan tuvo que pasar por mucho para aceptarse a si mismo, para perdonarse por todo lo que había pasado con su ex y para ser capaz de comenzar de nuevo y de permitirse amar. En esta historia lo comprendí aunque siento que su background fue un poco exagerado, tal vez para hacerlo mas fácil de odiar en el manga anterior y más fácil de perdonar en este.

"Quería verlo hacer este tipo de cara". Yo era un nerd lúgubre en la escuela secundaria, y en ese momento estaba entrelazado con Washizawa Natsuo, mi oscuro pasado. Ahora, unos años más tarde, nos hemos reunido y Natsuo me invitó a salir. Esta es mi oportunidad, Saldremos, luego romperé con él, ¡y lo dejaré hecho jirones!

"En el mejor de los casos, te lastimas y se termina".Uno de los amigos de Natsuo de la escuela secundaria, Hayashida, tuvo un encuentro mientras estaba borracho con el llamativo subordinado Shuuna, y se convirtieron en f*** buddies. Tiempo atrás, Hayashida golpeaba a su amante. Hayashida, con tantos remordimientos como piercings, se pregunta si Shuuna se quedará con él para siempre.

Ok; this is clearly a "I will break up with you to get my revenge" story and everyone knows how it will go, and at first it did manage to keep my interest. However, it did not work for me. I wondered why I like such stories in live action but not here, and I think I know why: The book tells me this; but does not show it. So, it all comes out of nowhere and then I have to accept it. So yeah, Thai BL shows actually do that better. And then there was another story with different characters... I stopped. This is not my thing."

"Non desideravo che Shuna mi facesse dimenticare i brutti ricordi... Non volevo neppure che mi salvasse... Volevo soltanto che si innamorasse di me e mi stesse vicino."
Eccomi nuovamente a piangere e sclerare come una pazza fangirl. Dopo aver letto "Love Whispers even in the rusted night" sentivo il bisogno di conoscere meglio Hayashida e scoprire il suo futuro dopo la scelta di lasciare libero il suo ragazzo. Abbiamo imparato a conoscerlo come il tizio violento, disposto a punire il povero Yumi per qualsiasi mancanza, anche solo per essere tornato tardi dal lavoro. Kan ha tirato fuori il peggio di sé, si è fatto odiare ma… ora è arrivato il momento di conoscerlo meglio e capire le motivazioni dei suoi gesti e soprattutto capire se in futuro per lui ci sarà modo di redimersi e riscattarsi.
Rispetto al capitolo precedente questo volumetto ci racconta due storie. Non solo quella di Shuna e Hayashida (Kan) ma anche la storia, tutt'altro che semplice, di Natsuo e Hiromu.
Hiromu Suzuki è un ragazzo di 23 anni completamente realizzato nella vita. Si sente a suo agio con il suo corpo e la sua sessualità e fa un lavoro che lo appaga. Gli anni di dolore in cui era costretto a sopportare il bullismo da parte dei compagni di scuola sono ormai lontani e il giovane pensa di poter andare avanti con il sorriso e senza preoccuparsi di nulla. Sulla sua strada però ricompare… la sua nemesi: il crudele Natsuo Washizawa. Natsuo a scuola era il capo dei bulletti, un ragazzo che lo ha sempre trattato come uno schiavetto. Non ha esitato a tormentarlo e rovinargli i progetti scolastici. Sembrava divertirsi a prenderlo in giro, a fargli domande scomode e a stargli sempre tra i piedi. Ritrovarsi di fronte l'uomo che gli ha causato tanto dolore è un trauma e ancora più grande è scoprire che non solo Natsuo non si ricorda di lui ma che… sembra provare dei sentimenti nei suoi confronti. Natsuo rivela di essere rimasto stregato da lui e di desiderare un appuntamento e magari… qualcosa di più. Per Hiro quella è l'occasione perfetta. Già assapora il momento in cui potrà spezzare il cuore al suo nemico numero 1. Prevede di farlo innamorare perdutamente e poi di gettarlo via come spazzatura ma Natsuo… in poco tempo diventa il suo mondo. Natsuo è molto diverso dal tipo che aveva conosciuto. Continua a essere caotico e fastidioso ma nasconde un animo dolce e sensibile che strega Hiro. Per lui il confine tra amore e odio diventa sempre più sottile giorno dopo giorno portandolo a interrogarsi su se stesso, sul suo passato e futuro. Questo primo racconto è davvero dolce e commovente. Ci mette nei panni di due persone diverse e ci spinge a riflettere sulle nostre azioni e sulle conseguenze che possono avere a lungo termine. Entrambi mi hanno colpito. Hiro è un ragazzo con cui è facile empatizzare, soprattutto se si ha avuto a che fare con i bulli a scuola. È un giovane che ha dovuto lottare per riprendere in mano le redini del suo destino e che è riuscito con fatica a trasformare quel dolore in un un'occasione di riscatto. Vederlo sicuro di sé dopo essere stato così solitario e chiuso è una ventata d'aria fresca. Un personaggio che attira le simpatie e che ti entra nel cuore ma mai... Quanto Natsuo. Il bullo nonostante il suo modo di fare ben presto si rivela una persona speciale. Natsuo non è un mostro e capire come i suoi gesti non fossero sintomo di cattiveria ma un tentativo goffo di comunicare mi ha fatto una tenerezza infinita. Natsuo proprio come Kan proviene da un ambiente che non gli ha permesso di sviluppare un modo "sano" di comunicare e interagire con il suo prossimo. Fin da giovane si è fatto guidare dal suo istinto, non ha avuto abbastanza empatia rischiando di ferire le persone che aveva accanto. Vederlo adulto e fragile mi ha colpito. I ruoli tra i due crescendo si sono invertiti portando l'ex bulletto a chiudersi in se stesso e a sviluppare una timidezza che viene fuori prepotentemente di fronte alla persona amata e l'ex bullizato ad avere per la prima volta il controllo della relazione. Nonostante il loro rapporto non sia nato sotto la migliore stella e nonostante abbia in un primo momento un po' odiato Hiro per la scelta di portare avanti la sua vendetta nonostante il cambiamento in positivo di Natsuo devo dire che… come coppia mi ha convinto. Sono carini insieme e spero in futuro di scoprire nuove informazioni su di loro. Una storia che mi ha convinto proprio come quella di Shuna e Kan.
Kan è molto difficile da comprendere fino in fondo. Leggendo Azami è possibile iniziare a capire cosa lo ha spinto a comportarsi in modo violento. Fin da ragazzo non ha avuto delle figure stabili su cui fare riferimento. Ha sempre e solo cercato di aiutare l'amata sorella e di essere una persona migliore per il fidanzato Yumi. Purtroppo la vita non gli ha sorriso e si è ritrovato a lavorare per un uomo violento e crudele. È stato abusato più volte fisicamente e psicologicamente e ha sfogato quella sua rabbia, quella sua insoddisfazione personale e dolore sull'unica persona in quel momento disposta a tendergli una mano. Il meccanismo spietato che si è formato tra Yumi e Kan però... si è spezzato. Hayashida si è reso conto dell'amore di Yumi nei confronti di Maya ma ancora di più ha compreso di rischiare di arrivare a punti di non ritorno. Pur di non fare più del male a Yumi lo ha allontanato richiudendosi in se stesso. Lo ritroviamo solitario e spezzato. Dopo aver cambiato lavoro sta cercando di rimanere a galla. Per lui una relazione è fuori questione. Teme di ritornare a essere una bestia crudele. Non ha però fatto i conti con Shuna. Un collega più giovane, molto estroverso e affascinante che gli si incolla adosso come una cozza e… non lo molla più. Shuna nonostante la sua spensieratezza e quel suo modo di fare da stronzetto è molto maturo e si rende conto di aver di fronte una persona bisognosa di amore e supporto. Nonostante il rapporto tra i due sia nato come valvola di sfogo è ben chiaro che tra i due… ci sia qualcosa di più forte.
Abbiamo conosciuto un Kan attivo e violento mentre qui abbiamo modo di vedere il suo lato più fragile. Pe la prima volta non è lui a farsi carico del peso del mondo ma permette a un'altra persona di essere la sua ancora di salvezza. Il loro rapporto in questo primo volume è all'inizio. La loro storia verrà affrontata meglio nei due volumetti sequel eppure fin da ora è chiaro quanto la strada non sarà semplice. Non è mai facile empatizzare con personaggi "negativi" con persone che hanno commesso atti gravi ma in questo caso è impossibile rimanere indifferenti. I personaggi sono tutti caratterizzati benissimo ed è una gioia seguire le loro peripezie. Mi sono innamorata follemente di questo volume così come del precedente. Sono rare le storie in cui vengono affrontati temi così delicati e reali. Non si vuole creare degli eroi ma semplicemente descrivere le millle sfumature dell'animo umano. Sicuramente non è un volumetto facile da leggere ma se cercate qualcosa di forte, in grado di colpirvi allo stomaco ma anche di farvi sperare in un mondo in cui è possibile redimersi e crescere, cambiare grazie alla vicinanza di una persona speciale beh… fa al caso vostro. Preparatevi a piangere e commuovervi

Auch dieser Band hat mir gut gefallen. Ich mochte die Zeichnung und auch die Story.
In diesem Manga befinden sich zwei Geschichten. Von der ersten Geschichte kennt man schon den Anfang, wenn man den vorherigen Manga gelesen hat. Ich empfand beide Geschichten als gleichwertig, wobei die erstere etwas kürzer ist.
Und die zweite Geschichte fand ich etwas interessanter, weil ich gespannt war, wie die Mangaka den Charakter aus Love Whispers in the Rusted Night in die Geschichte einbringen. Und wie ich hin dann hier empfinden werde.
In diesem Manga befinden sich zwei Geschichten. Von der ersten Geschichte kennt man schon den Anfang, wenn man den vorherigen Manga gelesen hat. Ich empfand beide Geschichten als gleichwertig, wobei die erstere etwas kürzer ist.

I really like this mangaka's work but I couldn't bring myself to complete Kan chan's story. He deserves to be in jail ffs. No matter what happened to you in the past-it does not justify you abusing your partner!! I knew kan chan had it rough but that does not give him an excuse to treat someone so badly. He was abusive, toxic and an asshole. And no just because he has changed now, does not automatically negative his past actions. You cannot just violently lash out on your partner!

While the first story didn't specially "do it" for me (it was sweet, but that's about it), I really liked the second one following Love Whispers' protagonist (Yumi)'s ex-boyfriend, Kan, who realised he was abusive and was afraid to fall back into the same pattern in a new relationship... It gave way to some touching moments. I'm never much a fan of sexy scenes, but those in this were sweet or funny so I went along with it. Nice read overall, and generally lighter than Love Whispers.

I really enjoyed this manga. Mainly because the art is beautiful and I´m a sucker for stories that resemble 90´s teen movies (i.e. 10 things I hate about you).
The sex scenes where really well done and even though there were many of them the characters and the story still made sense and didn´t feel underdeveloped.

This manga linked two different stories, showing what means love. It's boys love and the author managed to show love, daily life and sex in one volume! I liked it, but I prefer other stories from Tanaka Ogeretsu :)

De lo mejorcito que he leído de Ogeretsu después de Neon sign amber.
Segundo tomo del Monster series que recoge dos historias distintas. La primera de ellas trata sobre Hiro, un chaval que se hace estilista después de haber recibido bullying en el insti por ser un perdedor. Ahora, irreconocible gracias a su cambio de imagen, quiere empezar de nuevo y olvidar su pasado oscuro pero entonces llega al local Natsuo, uno de los maleantes que se metían con él en el instituto. La cosa es que Natsuo se enamora a primera vista de Hiro sin reconocerlo en absoluto. Es entonces cuando Hiro decide aceptar su sugerencia de salir juntos para vengarse.
La segunda historia nos pone bajo el punto de vista de Hayashida, conocido como Kan en el manga "Love Whispers even in the rusted night", ex novio de Yumi a quien maltrataba. Sin Yumi y habiendo cambiado de trabajo, Hayashida tiene miedo de enamorarse y solo busca sexo, uno que encuentra maravilloso junto a su subordinado Shuna. Cuando está con él su mente queda en blanco y es capaz de olvidar su pasado y lo que llegó a hacer. El problema es que Shuna se enamora de Hayashida y cuando se lo confiesa, Hayashida lo rechaza. Porque él no quiere involucrarse, porque no quiere olvidar las cosas horribles que hizo, porque quiere volver a ser quien fue.
Ambas historias esconden lo oscuro del ser humano, sentimientos que hacen sufrir y que propician dolor. Soledad, amargura, amor, en ambas historias hay una amalgama de sentimientos con el toque de humor y de drama que solo Ogeretsu es capaz de crear. Realista y cruel, llenas de sensualidad, este tomo contiene dos historias adultas con un alto contenido erótico, pero donde prima la psicología de los personajes, sobre todo la de Hiro y Hayashida. Más Hayashida. Este personaje es muy complejo ya que antes, y a causa del maltrato en su anterior trabajo, golpeaba a su pareja. Tal es la necesidad de ahondar más en Hayashida y Yumi que la Monsters series sigue con los dos tomos de Hadakeru Kaibutsu, donde seguirnos con la historia de Hayashida, Shuna y Yumi.
Recomiendo este manga? Os recomiendo todo los mangas de Ogeretsu Tanaka.

Oh well. Der Zeichenstil ist ganz große Liebe. Die Charaktere sind recht detailliert gezeichnet. Allerdings schwingt auch etwas leicht skizzenhaften mit. Die Charaktere sind sowohl speziell als auch wunderschön. Mein einziges 'Problem' sind die expliziten Szenen, die zwar glücklicherweise unzensiert sind (steht ja auch empfohlen ab 18 hintendrauf, ne), jedoch ist mir in den Gesichtern irgendwie immer zu viel Schnodder und Sabber. (Was ich aber super ignorieren konnte, denn die Story macht das wett.)
Tanaka schafft es nicht nur in unheimlich viel in den Sub Text in diese Geschichte zu packen sondern ebenso eine breite Palette an Emotionen zu übertragen.
Fazit
Dieser Titel beinhaltet zwei Geschichten.
Zur ersten Geschichte: Eigentlich gibt es hierzu gar nicht viel zu sagen, außer, dass mir die beiden Charaktere Hiromu und Natsuo sowie ihre Geschichte gut gefallen hat. Trotz der Kürze steckte da so einiges drin, inklusive Rückblicken, die einem die Charaktere näher gebracht haben. Hierin ist der Ton allerdings nicht ganz so ernst und düster, wie in der Hauptgeschichte.
Zur Hauptstory: Ehrlich gesagt, ganz unerwartet, befand ich mich dann in Hayashidas Geschichte, bekannt als Kan-Chan aus Love whispers in the rusted night. Und irgendwie ist da zwar einiges passiert, aber ich hatte das Gefühl, nur noch Fragezeichen zu sehen, denn Hayshida und Kan-Chan schienen zwei verschiedene Personen zu sein und ich verstand einfach nicht wieso. Der Background hat gefehlt.
Shuna hat hier viel für mich wett gemacht, denn entgegen aller Vernunft lässt er sich einfach nicht beirren, wodurch er einen sehr standhaften Charakter zeigt.
Alles in allem, bin ich dennoch sehr angetan, da ich weiß, dass noch zwei Bände auf mich warten, in denen hoffentlich Licht in mein Dunkel kommt.

Because this manga consists of two short stories, the pace is bound to be fast and, of course, have plot-holes ((i'm confused because many things haven't been revealed nor explained)). But still, it was an okay read.

Even though the plot were simple, the stories were cute and hot at the same time. I ended up loving the guys and loving their HEA.
Story #1: Renai-rubi no Tadashii Furikata. Typical ridiculous story where one of the guys (Hiro), who is hurt from his teenage years, wants to take revenge on the "bully" (Natsuo) by agreeing to date him.. and then dump him after the Natsuo is deep in love. Result: the hurt guy falls too, and instead of laughing our loud for his "revenge", cries sad tears of lost. It was nice how he starts to fall in love, without meaning to. The breakfast and all silly activities that Natsuo does for Hiro seemed like it annoyed him, but no, there were part of the reasons he falls for Natsuo. The stupid attempt of rape came out of nowhere and didn't make any sense.
Story #2: Hodokeru Kaibutsu. A couple of office coworkers start as f**ck buddies after one drunk night of Hayashida. Shuuna is his subordinate and a very "flashy" guy who quickly falls in love with gloom Hayashida and just wants to see him smile. But Hayashida has dark past (used to be violent with his bf) and doesn't want to commit. He hurts and rejects Shuuna again and again as a bf, but still wants to be f-buddies, and Shuuna never gives up. A bit angsty but well done and very cute.

2 histoires dont la première est celle d’une vengeance et la deuxième est la suite de l’histoire de Kan qu’on a déjà aperçu dans le manga ‘Love Whispers’.
J’ai aimé découvrir l’histoire d’Hiro qui n’a jamais supporté la persécution subit plus jeune par Natsuo. Sa rencontre des années plus tard va lui donner l’idée de se venger enfin de lui. On est plongé dans ses pensées machiavéliques et tout le cheminement qui se met en place pour réaliser son Project. L’histoire est toute en émotion, parfois difficile. J’ai eu envie de secouer les personnages, tout comme les voir s’aimer. Elle a réussi à me faire réagir et m’émouvoir à certains moments clés.
La deuxième histoire a été une grosse déception. On apprend un peu plus sur les tourments de Kan. De ce côté-là c’était intéressant mais le reste je n’ai pas réussi à comprendre ce que voulait faire la Mangaka.
Ce n’est que mon avis mais je trouve qu’elle est passé complétement à côté de son sujet sur la violence de son personnage. Mais surtout pour Shuna, aussi solaire et compréhensible soit-il, il n’a aucun sens.
Quand il dit à Kan : « Vous avez peut-être fait du mal à votre ancien partenaire, mais je m’en fiche ». A cette réplique j’ai fait un gros ‘Pardon ?’. Je veux bien que l’amour rend aveugle, mais il aurait été plus logique et humain qu’il tente de le comprendre et l’aider à avancer autrement que d’être indifférent à son passé violent. C’était beaucoup trop naïf vu la gravité du sujet.
Bref, J’ai largement préféré la 1ère histoire que la 2ème. J’espère que les autres mangas mettant en vedette Kan et Shuna seront bien meilleures et plus abouties.

Me hizo sentirme fatal cuando le dice que solo salía con él para vengarse, sobretodo porque por cómo lo cuentan siento que en realidad Natsuo no lo trató mal en el insti, solo que lo perseguía mucho porque le gustaba y el otro no entendía qué pasaba, se ponía nervioso y se lo tomaba mal.
Y me ha gustado ver a Kan sufrir por no saber si podía estar con alguien, aunque no me ha gustado nada que Shuna ni siquiera reaccione cuando Kan le dice que pegaba a su anterior pareja. Sólo dice: bueno, fue a la anterior, está mal pero no tiene nada que ver conmigo. Chico, eso está peor que mal y que te hace pensar que a ti no? Nada, porque ni siquiera le preguntaste qué pasó, por qué, o qué fue de ese chico.

Ich habe diesen Manga sehr gemocht, er war einfach nur süß.
Ich wusste zwar grob was passieren wird, aber der Zeichenstiel ist toll, die Jungs sind wirdklich schön und sehr liebevoll gezeichnet.
Es sind zwei Geschichten in diesem Band, die nichts miteinander zu tun haben und beide Geschichten sind gleichwertig gut, sehr schön gezeichnet und zum verlieben.
Die beiden Liebesgeschichten sind sehr authentisch und die Charaktere schließt man sofort in sein Herz.
Die Story, der Zeichentiel, die Handlung und der Sex, der natürlich nicht fehlen darf, machen den Manga mehr als lesenswert. Ich werde auf jedenfall nich mehr von der Autorin lesen!!

I specially loved the first one! This nerd guy was bullied in school so now he´s beutician and so handsome. One day, one of his bullies enter to his shop and after talk to him ask for a date. He is horrified, but decides to say YES so he could avenge his school days.

This manga is so amazing aughhh!!! This is also a multiple stories, the first couple is so funny and cute XD. Though, my favourite part was the last part! Ah finally!!! Hayashida is now happy TT-TT I’m so glad Ogeretsu Tanaka sensei made this manga. I finally got a closure I needed uuu. Must read tearjerker manga! High Recommended!

I really, really love this artist's drawing style, but these two stories weren't it. I was completely alienated by the characters and their choices in the first story, whilst the second was more well-rounded but touched on far too heavy a topic to make it work in comparatively few pages.

This is really short - I read it because someone I follow on Tumblr said they were reading it and that it was super short, and I was intrigued, because I’m currently watching the drama adaptation that is airing. I’m surprised how the drama can make so many episodes out of this really short manga. This was fun and easy to read though, I did enjoy it.

I really liked Hiro and Natsuo, they were cute and this was their first love.The second couple, Hayashida and Shuuna weren't bad, but I didn't understand why Shuuna hit his ex- boyfriend and what happened after that.. Anyway 4.5 stars for the first couple and 3.5 for the second. So 4 stars.

es un poco toxica la relación, pero creo los personajes son un poco más reales, en el sentido de que, el rencor y la venganza se muestran como algo natural y aunque es dañino, como algo que todas las personas pueden vivir
