Study trends. That's where you can make money. But, have a plan to manage the risk/reward and your emotions. Oh yeah, mind the gaps! I didn't find most of the advice to be useful...but, I'm not a day trader. Given that, its a quick read and provides a superficial glimpse into the art/system making of a day trader.

Straight to the point!!!

This little book is actually really helpful. It serves as a Check list, reminder, quick review of the best strategies and all of that. Beginners can use it as a path to walk faster and build their trading plan and experienced traders can use it to stay on track as well. I Highly recommend it. I think is worth it.

Steve Burns trades successfully for a living and he has for a long time. So his advice is worth reading. Trading Habits is a compilation of the "rules" which Mr. Burns uses to govern his own trading. Together....and I think they must be viewed as a group....they can make any novice/intermediate trader more disciplined, focused and successful. Don't be expecting a creative, exciting or humorous writing style from this book. It's not there. It is a textbook....get down to business....writing style. The right style for this type of book. I would recommend only if you trade consistently.

This book is basically a compilation of quotes from popular investors/traders with succinct elaborations. Many of the rules are explained by the author, like a dictionary of trading dos-and-don'ts. This short book is divided into three sections; the technical basics, trading psychology and money management. You will find a lot of quotes like this:

"The ability to stop making bad trades can benefit the trader as much as taking the good trades.

The market doesn’t care about your opinion. It will go where it wants to go based on all of the participants’ actions."

Great short Read !! to the point and concise easily readable. Covers almost all important parts for trading and at least introduces reader to it. Based on interest can go in depth of each point covered.

Even for an existing trader this is great summary and can be read as great handbook for reminders for all rules.

Great set of rules/habits!.. and straight to the point. The author didn't want to make this a 200+ page book like most other trading books out there and that impresses me.
Definitely a worthy read.

This book provides time-tested rules for becoming a successful trader, though it may not be suitable for beginners as some of the information may be complex. However, experienced traders will find it valuable to have all the information in one place.

I have a Kindle version for now, but plan to add a physical copy to my library soon.

Not bad

This book is more directed towards people that need to make sure their brokers are doing the right thing. There is a lot of great information in the book but it is far from comprehensive.
