I'm not sure why I gave another one of these books the chance? I just finished Magic Mushrooms: The Truth About Psilocybin... (by Colin Willis) and was completely disappointed, so maybe I was hoping for more? This was another repeat (see my other review), only this time about DMT. The book contains nothing more than what you could easily find online, it's just in one concise format here. Blandly stated out, chapter by chapter. I'm not sure why the author always chooses to use 'he or she' or 'him or her', instead of just using something like 'you', 'they' or 'their'. It gets kind of obnoxious. I chose the audiobook, and the narrator makes things almost impossible to listen to, with this slow 'Bueller, Bueller' type of voice. I had to turn the speed up to x2, just to make it through the book. Also, he needs to learn how to pronounce 'Ayahuasca', it's not 'Ayawooooooooohska'. I know I may be asking for trouble, but I might try one more - "Psychedelics: The Truth About Psychedelic Drugs: An Introductory Guide to Ayahuasca, LSD (Acid), DMT, Entheogens, And The Full Effects", just because it contains more than one piece of subject material.

Balanced view

This was an interesting book. It was neither cheerleading for taking DMT, nor was it a drug cop's infomercial. I have wanted to try DMT for a long time, and this book presented both the pros and cons of doing so. This book is included in the Kindle Unlimited program as of July 2018.
