Now Fate has other plans for the star-crossed lovers, and Jake is in for the fight of his to win Ruby’s heart.
Can he keep his eye on the prize? Can he go the distance? Or will she deliver a knockout blow that will close the door once and for all?
This could´ve been so much better if it was longer. Since it was so short the story felt really rushed and you don´t get to know the characters really good. Plus there isn´t really much storyline at all.
VERY short story, but well told. This is a bit of a second chance romance between Ruby & Jake. They knew each other in high school, Ruby shot Jake down because he was a player & partier & she was focused on making it out of her less-than-stellar neighborhood. It's neat because her shooting him down was the motivation he needed to actually pull himself out of his own less-than-stellar life circumstance, and they end up on a similar career path. When they see each other again, it's sparks galore!
The only downside was that I felt like they were apart for too much of the story, especially because it was so short. And the epilogue/last chapter was WAY too short. But all in all it was an enjoyable read. : )
Hooked is a sport novel. It’s about MMA fighter who runs into his old crush Ruby. She is the only girl who said no to him. So fate brings them together and this time she sees him in different way. This is very short story and thanks god because I did not like it at all. It was poor writing, the story lack its credibility. I didn't like the characters. I was intrigued to read it because I loved fighting romance but this one was really bad.
I really wanted to love this. I love MMA, handsome, alpha male leads but this fell short. It felt rushed. Not enough development in the story or characters. It COULD be an amazing read but I was disappointed majorly.
