“Blowing up volcanoes and starting wars pales in comparison to making hearts explode and encouraging sinful, fleshly delights.” Lucifer’s candid one on one interview with HNN.

Big deal, so he kept losing the oar. It wasn’t Adexios fault the Styx monsters were working against him, but tell that to his dad. Charon is determined to make a man out of him—whether his mother likes it or not—and Lucifer has offered to help. Help means sending Adexios in to the wilds of Hell with an Amazon warrior as his companion.

The savage fighter doesn’t know what to think of her geeky partner. Adexios attracts Valaska with his brains instead of brawn. He also shows a cunning courage she can’t help but respect.

They’ll need all the skills they can muster, though, if they’re going to prevail against the newest threat to Hell. With the wilds submerged by seawater, and monsters hungry for flesh, they’ll have to fight to stay alive, and learn opposites not only attract, they explode. (With passion, not guts, in case that wasn’t clear.)

Welcome to the pit where the danger is never ending, the sea monsters are multiplying, and Lucifer is planning the wedding from Hell.

“Love is but a game and I control the pieces.” Lucifer’s philosophy.
Gaia's retort. "I told you not to tell people about the cuffs."

A new Welcome to Hell installment is a treat. Always fun to discover what shenanigans Lucifer is up to and what new minion matchmaking he accomplishes on the side.

In this case, its the geeky son of Charon and a fierce Amazon warrior sent out on an adventure in the wild lands- or make that seas?

Between the lusty humor and romps, looks like there are some cool twists thrown in for good measure.

Just finished and I'm already wanting more Welcome to Hell.

Another good addition to the series with Adexios the gorgeous geek and Valaska the Amazon warrior. This one probably didn't have as many laugh out loud moments for me as some of the other books but it did have plenty of action and adventure which was great.
Adexios certainly wasn't like the previous beefcake minions from Hell, he was tall and lean and not big and brawny, though his intelligence and quick wit came across as attractive. He didn't shy away from adventure and certainly held his man-card when it came to the intimate parts.
Valaska certainly has all the proud Amazon qualities with her battle ready body and skills, it was nice that she was such a strong lead female. Great to see that she valued all of Adexios qualities and found him attractive, even though he wasn't her usual type. They made a great couple.
Again Lucifer had his moments in the spot light and shone as usual with his quirky ways. The ending definitely was a set up for the next in the series and I cant wait to see who the Devil hits with his match making stick. An overall 4 star read.

Hell’s Geek is book five in Eve Langlais’ Hell series and this continues Lucifer’s matchmaking plan, this time pairing Adexios, a man who has an affinity with upsetting his parents by getting good grades and finding himself following rules rather than breaking them, and Valaska, an amazon warrior who needs no man to succeed in life, but finds herself wanting this one pretty badly. This is a fun adventure which continues the mystery which was revealed in the previous book. I loved that both these characters were never compromised and instead they complimented each other. This was fun, intense and a fantastic book and world to escape into. I can’t wait to read Lucifer’s book which is up next.

3.5 stars.

Dex is like the demonic geeky version of MacGyver, very cute. The voice Narrator Mindy Kennedy gave him sounded a bit too young though, more like a teenage boy rather than a man. Otherwise, another humorous instalment to the series. The ending with Lucifer is a bit of a cliff-hanger, so it's on to the next book...

This is the 5th installment in the "Welcome to Hell" series. This is a great series where the devil is always having an issue while trying to play matchmaker. The fact that it's Charon's wayward son with an amazon, just makes it more entertaining. I totally recommend this story and series.

Adexios is smart, educated and a complete disappointment to his parents. Son of Charon, he’s expected to follow in his dad’s footstep. But Adexios wants more out of life than ferrying damned souls the rest of his life. Of course with Lucifer up to his matchmaking tricks, Adexios may be getting more than what he for wished…so long as he survives he the task Lucifer sends him on.

I have mixed feeling about Hell’s Geek. So many times I felt like Alice with the whole what’s up is down and thinking backwards. Sometimes I found myself lost trying to keep up with the ‘what’s bad is good’ bit. Equally, there were times that Valaska just irritated me. Yes, I like my women characters strong. However, I felt at times the dumb caveman mode versus being strong Amazon woman had her coming out of character too much. Maybe because my image of an Amazon warrior matches more up with Xena and not Conan.

Easily my two favorite characters were Adexios and Lucifer. A mischievous matchmaker, Lucifer has had me cracking up since the very first book. Adexios was a delight for me the whole way through. He starts as a useless nerd and despite coming into his own tough he-man, he never loses that nerdy side.

As a whole, I enjoyed Hell’s Geek. It was filled with laughs and adventures I have come to expect from Ms. Langlais’ books. The journey that Adexios and Valaska takes into Hell’s wilds and the mystery they uncover makes for fun afternoon read. Filled with interesting twists and playful banter, Hell’s Geek runs on high octane excitement from start to finish. And just when you think it can’t get any better, the books ends on a high laughable OhEmGee! twister that you won’t see coming. I’ll be counting the days until the next book comes out.

I received this book from the JeepDiva for the express purposes of an honest review. The opinions and rating of this review are solely mine and in no way was I compensated.

Another fun story in Eve Langlais' Welcome To Hell series. Here we find Charon's son Dex being matched with an Amazon Warrior woman Valaska. Dex being a "Geek" is by no means a coward and takes on the challenges Lucifer has set before him with intellectual bravery.
Lots of excitement, adventure and smexy love scenes as Dex and Valaska can't help but fall in love as they journey thru dangerous parts unknown to solve the mystery of what and whim is flooding Hell.
Lucifer and his amazing sense of humor and flare for style could give Match.com a run for its money as he couples off many of his subjects. Believing there is a war coming Lucifer is determined to raise an army and what better way than by playing matchmaker and watching his kingdom grow.
The story was hysterical with Eve Langlais' most special flare for humor.
An awesome exciting sexy very funny book get ready to go on a magical adventure and laugh out loud a lot.

Adexios just can’t live up to his dad’s reputation and he’s got bigger dreams that ferrying damned souls but his problems just got bigger because Lucifer’s determined to pair this geek up with a violent Amazon warrior in this high intensity paranormal romance. I love Eve Langlais’books, but I must confess that this is the first one that I have read in this series and I really will have to remedy that because Eve has included a mix of unusual, sexy and fun characters in an unexpectedly energetic, crazy as all get out story that I couldn’t put down and I can’t wait to find out what happens next, especially since Ursula pulled a whammy of a trick on Lucifer.

Amazon take Dex away. Oh fun!

This is book 5 in the Welcome to Hell series. It is stand alone with a HEA and a teaser for the next book, very yummy! Adexios is the son of the ferryman who takes souls to hell to be judged. Adexios is not very good at following in his dads footsteps or robe as the case may be. He is book smart and loves to learn and in hell that is not a good thing or make your parents proud. So Lucifer sends him on a mission to toughen him up and sends an Amazon warrior to protect him. This is one adventure you wont want to miss. Highly recommend to all lover of love and laughs. This has so many. Great read.

I'd say it was my favourite of the series but I'm already reading the last one.

Second read through. Action filled and chaotic, with more of Gaia and Luc before their engagement. Dex and Valaska are one of my favourite couples, brain and brawn. It was a shame about Charon. Loved the mother-son relationship. I need that bag.

Dex you adorable geek.

What a sweet and action filled adventure this story was. Adexios/Dex was so adorably geeky, shy and insecure I just wanted to eat him up! He definitely needed a strong female lead to take the initiative and bring out the assertive, sexy, aggressive male in him and that's exactly what he got from Valaska. Described as a tall, lean but with defined muscles, strong thighs and arms, short dark hair and a HUGE apendige he sure did have potential lol. Not the fuck-up he was made up to be in the previous book he was actually quite resourceful, smart, brave and witty it wasn't his fault that he was constantly being targeted by the Styx river monster's making him look like a fool while trying to do his job as a ferryman. Valaska our leading lady amazon warrior was amazing, courageous, assertive and funny she was a take charge woman who wasn't afraid to go after what she wanted and what she wanted was Dex. It was so funny watching her stake her claim on him to his utter shock lol, the fact that she desired him leaving him gobsmacked and her pouncing on him every chance she got was hilarious. Full of adventure this tale was a non stop roller coaster ride of action by the bucket full with not a dull moment to be had. The only thing I would have liked was more passionate scenes between them as we only get 2 1/2 you'll know what I'm talking about if you've read the book. Their was plenty sexual innuendo, and sexual tension as they were in constant danger and unable to act on their desires but at least the 2 scenes that we did have were HOT AS HELL and thigh clenchingly good. Valaska was a wild woman who liked to take charge of their sexual encounters bringing out the sexy dominating beast in him which was panty combusting to read. A delicious little story that will have you hooked and leaving you wanting more as all of Eve Langlais's books do.

Ok Adexios just makes me giggle. He's just the best kind of nerdy geek. He's got a back bone of steel and doesn't step down from any challenge even when it's clear times are about to get scary and dangerous. He's not a warrior, but he's determined to do all he can to save Hell from the insane water that starts as puddles in the wild and seems to be growing out of nowhere. And where did all the demons disappear to? Of course Lucifer in his matchmaking wiles has determined that all Adexios needs is to be paired up with one sword wielding Amazon warrior. Valaska can't believe she's been paired with such a geek. She knows all about having to rough it out there and yet this guy is pulling home cooked meals and cabins out of his bag.

First of all...I LOVED the idea of the cabin. One of my favorite parts of the book and I'm a bit saddened Valaska and Adexios were such fun together and this one was a real adventure from the start. Lots of great humor and new levels of the mystery are unravelled in this one. I liked getting a few new pieces to the puzzle as we are awaiting the upcoming big battle in hell. Of course the side plot lines with Lucifer and Gaia were just plain wonderful fun too. I'm really enjoying this series.

Charon (the boatman across the Styx) has a son, who is not a good boatman – but he is a whizz at maths and also makes friends with the river’s monsters.
In hell, you do the opposite of the norm to gain bonuses and brownie points with Lucifer. So being rude is good.
Lucifer wants to win the competition of Worst Boss!
So when going to school you need to flunk out not come top of the class – but Adexios comes top of everything to shame of his mother and father...
But what he learns – both in school and out, especially his exotic creatures and their biology, proves useful when sent into Hell’s Wilds. With an Amazonian warrior no less.
A fun adult book with all the mythologies and as always a surprise from Eve.

I think I had too big expectations to this book. It has been like four years since I read the last book in this series but I do remember how much I loved the previous books and I mean a geek in Hell? I thought Adexious would be this clueless nerd who would be seduced by Amazon woman.

Adexious is clumsy and book smart. You'd think that his parents would be proud of him because straight A student and a genius with math but instead they're embarrassed. Valaska has a simple goal in life, like all amazons: Eat, sleep, fight, and die with glory in battle.

I wish I had enjoyed this one more. Sure, the romance was cute but it didn't rise any feelings in me and I think the only scene I found funny was the one where Valaska met Adexious' mother.

Typical role reversal for the win! Valaska and Dex, seemingly opposites, connected perfectly and their wit and banter made them perfect for each other. Unknown and unchartered difficulties popping up in their paths made for the action, but it also gave them the opportunities to show their true self to the other. That made them grow closer together, while they pursued their physical connection as well. These two took me on an adventure full of shattered stereotypes, sexy moments, sarcastic humour, and uncharted adventures, oh, and a doozy of an epilogue!

I am really loving this series! It is a lot of fun! This one may not have been my favorite, but I have a soft spot for geeks so Adexios was very appealing to me; Valaska, not so much. I don't know what rubbed me the wrong way about her but she was just kind of annoying (maybe it was just because she was with my book boyfriend, LOL.) The epilogue definitely made me want to read the next book in the series!

Loved it!

This one was the funniest of the series to me. I loved the characters, they worked well together, and you couldn't help but fall in love with this proud to be mommas boy! Great fast paced storyline with lots of action and lots of love! Awesome that it was offered in audio format!

Poor Adexios, can't win. I liked that this was a change in dominant role. She was the fearsome warrior and he was the brains. He isn't built, but he uses his smarts and I loved the change. I like that we met new characters and different demons in this one. So. Good.

8/2018-I listened to the audio version of this and I loved it!

Lucifer is determined to keep match making and this time it’s an Amazon and Dex who is a terrible demon because he is so smart and mannerable. On a wild adventure they have to find out who entered hell without permission. So much fun- I laughed out loud!

I really enjoy this series. The installments are quick and easy reads and very funny and amusing. This one didn't disappoint. The ending was interesting. Can't wait to see how Gaia gets "her" Lucifer back. Btw: Lucifer is the BEST character in this series.

All Lucifer wants to do in match make and add to his army, however not everything is going his way. Enemies are finally revealed and there's plenty of action as well as some interesting fashion choices! Think this is my favourite of the series!

Gorgeous geek

I really enjoyed this book. Dex’s character was refreshingly different for a male in these type of books. I loved his geeky ways, gadgets and being a mummy’s boy has never been so funny and endearing.
