Alec Grayson returns home to Falcon, Alabama, to rebuild his life after a knee injury ended his NFL career. As the Falcon high school quarterback coach, Alec's love for the game is reignited. Meanwhile, he puts his hard-partying past and the betrayal of the people he trusted most behind him, and adopts a hard demeanor. That is, until a spitfire artist with soulful eyes and a body that haunts his dreams gets under his skin and threatens to crack his armor.

Lilliana Hancock is forced to leave her struggling-artist lifestyle in New York and return to Falcon after her father's unexpected death leaves her a decrepit family mansion. Determined to use her skills to turn the home into a successful bed and breakfast, Lilliana is stopped at every turn by the town contractor, who happens to be Alec, the gorgeous and arrogant jock to whom she lost her virginity in college. Except Alec doesn't remember, which infuriates her. Too bad she can't forget the way his body felt against hers or how his heated gaze follows her...

Will they be able to put their pasts behind them for a future together?

5 - "I wonder what would have happened if our paths had crossed in college." Stars!

Laura Trentham has become a firm favorite over the past year. Her Falcon Football series pretty much has epitomizes everything that I look for as a reader in books of this genre. Each book focuses on a particular couple, and whilst their plot grows the story for the town and it’s residents develops alongside.

Lilliana and Alec have been circling each other for a while, and their verbal sparring in this books predecessor Melting into You brings back fond memories. As the towns Buildings Inspector, they have had more than a few run-ins over Hancock House the family homestead that Lilliana inherited from her grandmother, being in a state of disrepair, Lilliana has struggled with the expense and the sheer size of the renovations and re-decoration that the house needs to be bought up to code to enable her to open as a Bed & Breakfast.

”People make mistakes. Most people deserve a second chance.”

As the book progresses, you also find out the reasons for Liliana’s apparent dislike for Alec, as well as the background on why Alec remains aloof and closed off from pretty much everyone in his life. Laura always manages to thread a secondary story through the plot of the characters that are in the forefront, and the thread in this one has been a situation that has gradually been unraveling as each book in the series has progressed, it really worked for me, and the side order of excitement really kept the pace of the plot moving along.

”My boobs normally turn intelligent men into Neanderthals.”

I loved that this couple, although both nursing past hurts and insecurities, as well as feeling hugely vulnerable putting their hearts on the line with each other, do just that. Alec although initially appears gruff and uncommunicative actually turns into a sweet, endearing and thoughtful guy. Lilliana has been used to men treating her a particular way in the past, and it was good to read of Alec pushing past the walls of false confidence that she had built to discover the sensitive, but still incredibly ballsy woman inside.

”You don’t have to do that. Not with me.”

Another great thing was being able to catch up with the couples from the previous books, I believe that Melting into You is the last book in the series, which in a way is good, as Laura Trentham has definitely ended on a high. Saying that though, I would happily revisit this town and its characters if she did decide to go back for future visits as I have absolutely loved every minute that I have spent in Falcon.

A decade ago in college Lilliana lost her virginity to the big shot quarterback. She has spent years hating him because of how he treated her afterwards and to make matters worse, he doesn't even remember her. Alec has been back in Falcon ever since suffering a career ending injury and being betrayed by the people he trusted the most. He's hard and doesn't let people in but there's something about Lilliana that won't let him stay away.

I loved this book. Alec is the towns building inspector and Lilliana is rehabbing her historic family home so she has to spend a little time with Alec when he comes for an inspection. What happens when he shows up and she's not expecting him is one of my favorite scenes in the book. I loved the chemistry with this couple. My only small complaint is that I wish this one would've had an epilogue more into the future but only because I wanted just a little more of this couple. I loved this series!

Melting Into You was such a good read, loved it.

I knew from the previous books I was going to enjoy watching Lilliana and Alec come together. All that sexual tension and angry stare downs they shared was going to make good reading.
And Laura Trentham doesn't disappoint. She's given us an entertaining storyline that was well written and characters that were well developed, likable and very relatable.

I really connected with Lilliana, loved her sass, passion and she had the biggest heart, there wasn't anything she wouldn't do for the people she cared about.
After being hurt by his loved ones Alec had shut down, he kept to himself and didn't let people in. Lilliana was the perfect girl for him, she was able to get past that wall he had up and show him that he was lovable and not to be afraid of love. So many happy feels... loved them together :)

After an NFL career-ending knee injury, Alec Grayson is back in his hometown of Falcon, Alabama. When his career ended he found out who his true friends were as well as discovering a heartbreaking betrayal by his family. Now he lives his life alone never getting to close to anyone. Working his day job and coaching the quarterbacks at the local high school is enough for him. That is until Lilliana Hancock blow into his life. She's in Falcon trying to restore the family mansion and turn it into a B&B. After spending the last few years in NY as a struggling artist, she's ready for something new. When long ago crush Alec Grayson shows up at her door to do an inspection things really get crazy for both of them!

I really loved this story! While there is a wonderful romance at the core of the story there is so much more. That's what is enjoyable about this series of books. If you haven't read the other books in the series, no problem. Each stands alone. The characters are great and the pace is perfect. Definitely a must read. I highly recommend it.

Good grief, Lilliana, that girl has some big brass balls, I loved it, “it’s been a while, but I think you’ve rounded second base and might be headed for a grand slam.” She’d raised her head, mesmerizing him with her eyes, and caressed down his tattoos, her hand landing between his legs. His hips bucked." Alec may have a lot of stamina but the boy has self control as well, "she gripped his biceps and pulled him closer. Didn’t all men love morning sex? “Can’t stay, darlin’. I have to get home to change for work.” His expression was intense, not happy or angry or regretful." Alec sometimes has to be the responsible especially when in a car and his girlfriend is horny, "she got his jeans unbuttoned and the zipper partway down. He covered her hand with his before it could burrow into his underwear. “Ten minutes, woman, and I’ll eff you until your eyes cross.” I really loved this book, I think I enjoyed it more then the first one in the series.

He is a sulky, weak baby who needs to be repeatedly coaxed into responding to things like a human being. His feelings are constantly getting hurt. His paranoia makes him insult her repeatedly. I am exhausted on behalf of the h, who is going to spend a lot of time tending to this emotional hothouse flower.

Wonderful wrap up to the Falcon, Alabama trilogy. Lilliana and Alex were great together and though I had my doubts at first, it didn't take long for me to believe in their shared HEA. I'm going to miss Falcon and its eccentric residents.

Laura is doing what she can to get her old family home fixed up to code so she can open a B&B, but the inspector is Alec, the guy she's spent hating since she lost her virginity to him in college. A sexy moment of forgotten hatred brings Alec and Laura together, but is it out of guilt of true feelings? Alec's got a tough demeanor and doesn't trust anyone, Laura's got secrets she's afraid to let out, but they both keep coming back to each other. As they team up to take care of one of the local youth and fix up her home, they find themselves looking at each other without the hatred they once had.

Laura is hilarious and tough. She takes no crap, has the hugest heart, and puts Alec in his place. Whenever she's running from situations, especially her insecurities, tough guy Alec shows up to turn it all upside down. While they both weren't totally happy to return home, finding each other again after the college mishap was the perfect story of romance and strong chemistry. I really enjoyed the push pull of their relationship and how they find each other as they're helping someone else. The banter is witty, the serious moments done just right, and the relationship is a slow burn, just the way I like them. The high school football scenes are done very well and I felt like Hunter, the boy their watching out for, is a main character in his own right. It's also nice to see the characters from the previous Falcon Football books and where they are at in life.

Melting into You is the third book in the Falcon Football series, but it can be read as a standalone. Laura Trentham does a wonderful job of introducing the small town of Falcon, Alabama and filling it with the characters you love to find in romance books. While I think this may be the last book in the series, I certainly wouldn't be against reading more books about the residents of Falcon, Alabama.

Many thanks to Netgalley and St. Martin's Press Romance for the ARC copy in exchange for my honest review.

Absolutely perfect!!! I loved this book from start to finish and it has once again confirmed that Trentham is an author with incredible talent.

This newest instalment in the Falcoln Football series revolves around Lilliana Hancock, bohemian artist and B and B owner in waiting, and Alec Grayson, former NFL star, current Quaterback Coach and contractor. They've been antagonistic acquaintances for a few years as, unbeknownst to Alec, he relieved Lilliana of her virginity in college in a rather d**k like manner. In the present day their attraction comes to a head and a whole other game is on...

I thought the characters were wonderful. Lilliana was lovely and with her caring open nature she was the perfect foil to Alec and the way she coaxed him into caring again after the betrayal he'd faced in the past was utterly convincing. I also loved all the other characters portrayed here, Will and Hunter were stand outs, but it was wonderful to read about Darcy and Robbie and Logan and Jessica again, and have them play such meaningful roles in the story, not just act as filler. I've written in a previous review that one of the things I love most about Trentham's work is the wonderful way she writes about life in a small Southern town and it was once again in evidence here. I loved the residents we meet, especially Lilliana's Hancock relatives and it truly made me feel that I understood why Alec and Lilliana were happy to live there rather than the big cities that they had called home.
I'm not sure if this will be the last in the series (there aren't any football coaches left) but whether it is or not, Trentham will definitely be an author that I'll continue to read in the future. Highly recommended!

Melting Into You by Laura Trentham is the third in the Falcon Football series and was the one that I liked best.
Lilliana Hancock has moved back to Falcon after inheriting her father's home. She decides to turn it into a B & B. There is a lot of work to be done and little money since she was previously a starving artist in New York City. She loves her art but has little self-confidence in her abilities. She's determined to finish the house project as her way of continuing the Hancock family legacy in Falcon. Lilliana is smart, funny and has a big heart. She also has a very short history with Alec Grayson from college that he doesn't remember.

Alec Grayson is a former NFL quarterback with big trust issues. When his NFL career ended he realized that the people he trusted the most was only with him for his NFL name and not for himself. Sadly, that also was the case for his parents He has built mile high walls
and put the past behind him. He now is the quarterback coach for Falcon and an independent contractor. He is also the town building inspector which causes Lilliana heart palpitations every time he comes by to inspect the house.

Alec and Lilliana were well developed and likable characters. There is banter and some serious conversations as Alec finally started opening up. The secondary characters were a joy to meet again as most of them have been in the previous books. An enjoyable small town romance with some heat between the sheets (and other places) as Alec and Lilliana's relationship grows.

5 "now I am back where I should be, I will never leave you again" Stars from me.

I quite like my summary.......

This book was just from start to finish a delicious read. Quick overview....

Alec supa hot, popular NFL player. One wrong move and poof his career's all over. So off to his hometown he wanders.

Enter Lilliana, she's renovating her grandmothers house (which is now her's). Lilliana has a big job on her hands and getting friendly with the town's returning star is NOT on her to do list !!!

I really enjoyed the character development and how its not insta love.
The pace is well thought out, witty and the plot opens gradually to give the reader a full insight into why our leading guy and gal have the views and insecurities that they seems to use as there own personal shields.

I LOVED the concept of long lost love finally re-uniting and I was routing for Alec and Lilliana right from the start !!.
This is the 3rd book in the series and quite honestly I have purchased the other 2 previous as I enjoyed this story that much.

I must be going through my "romance, happy ever after and forever love" stage.....go figure ?

Would I recommend.....absolutely. Gorgeous, heart warming solid romance read.

Well done Laura xx

Many thanks Negalley for this opportunity xx

Later peeps xxx

This lovely, steamy romance offers up a caring heroine and a closed-off hero with a sprinkling of sport, a touch of art and the smallest hint of a second chance. I really enjoyed it, and although it’s only my first taste of this series (and what this author has to offer) it stands alone perfectly well.

Lilliana is great. She’s a smart woman who’s turning her family’s ancestral home into a B&B because she can’t think of another way to fund its upkeep. It’s hardly a dream career for this trained artist, but since she has absolutely no confidence in her work, then it’s all she has planned. She’s a nice person, kind and caring, especially with her friends, and she wears baggy t-shirts to keep her considerable assets hidden. Despite her insecurities and body issues, though, she’s neither shy nor lacking in confidence. Instead she’s funny and friendly and I warmed to her immediately.

Unlike Alec, whose past betrayals have caused him to shut down completely. He’s a bit brusque, rather cold and is so suspicious he always jumps to the worst possible conclusion regardless of the people involved. Which means he does hurt Lilliana’s feelings several times with his accusations, and yet there is goodness in Alec. It takes a while for him to thaw out, but underneath all his hurt feelings he is a good guy – he’s just out of practise.

I loved the relationship between these two. The way Lilliana brings Alec back to life with her trust and how she makes him laugh. Likewise, I loved the way Alec sees her and makes her feel beautiful, not to mention the faith he has in her art. The pair of them are adorable, even if Alec is jumpy and reluctant and seems ready to bolt at the slightest hint of emotion, while Lilliana keeps her secret a little too long. The chemistry between them is scorching hot, but there is so much more to their relationship than sex and I loved watching them grow closer.

This book is about more than just these two, though. It’s also about the town they live in and particularly one young footballer that Alec coaches. The storyline with Hunter is just another great way of seeing how much Alec changes across the story, and how much help Lilliana has to offer him in life. Hunter’s also a good kid and there’s a very short scene between him and his twin that grabbed my heart. Fans of the series will likely also enjoy seeing old characters come back again, while if you’re new to it all like me this will probably leave you wanting to know more.

Overall this is a cute, easy, feel-good romance with plenty of steam and some really adorable moments. The romance is completely satisfying, the setting is good and I enjoyed it from start to finish. I will definitely be catching up on the rest of the series soon and keeping my eye out for anything else this author has to offer in future.

***ARC received from NetGalley in exchange for honest review. I requested this and didn't realize until I was halfway through the first chapter this was part of the Fighting Falcon series. I really enjoyed both 1 and 2 and this one was my absolute favorite. Solid 4.5 to 5 stars because I just liked it that much. I rounded up because GR doesn't have half stars.

HEA:
Standalone: Part of a series that could be read alone but the series is great so read them all
Cheating:
H or h too stupid to live: No
Cliffhanger:

So why did I like to so much? I'm trying to put it into words but it was just the right fit for me as a reader at this time - a good man, a better woman, some angst but not too much, chemistry and sex. I wanted to slow down near the end because I didn't want it to be over. I enjoyed reading Alec and Lilliana's story and wasn't quite ready for it to end. The story wasn't too short or too long, I just wanted more of these two.

H - Alec - he's a little bitter and disallusioned and reading about his football career, injury, "friends", and ultimate betrayal by his parents it makes sense. It's also easy to understand how he got to the point where he was the way he was and couldn't or wouldn't change. His POV and his sadness and disappointment in himself and others gave you a glimpse into his loneliness even when surrounded by others.

h - Lilliana - thank you LT for giving us a strong h who is smart, sexy, and gives as good as she gets while still being a genuine decent human being. Lilliana has a heart as big as Texas and I loved her love of life, family, and friends. Once she gave into her attraction, lust, love for Alec she was all in. She didn't let his fear push her away. She was kind of the horse whisperer with him - she lured him in with comfort, affection, laughter, and love.

This scene:

h: I can forgive you , if you can trust me. I need to be able to count on you.
H: You can count on me. The way I need you is a loneliness I cannot bear.

Awwww....... group hug for the love of God.

My only minor issue with the book was Lilliana's college secret. I didn't think it was that big a deal but I also understand the longer you keep an omission the harder it becomes to let it go.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND this series and this story especially.

Oh wow. What a way to close out a series. I've loved the Falcon Football series from the time I was introduced to the small town of Falcon in Slow and Steady Rush (Robbie Dalton and Darcy Wilde) and that affection was solidified with Caught Up in the Touch (Logan Wilde and Jessica Montgomery). With the release of Melting Into You, not only does the series get a more than fitting end, but fans of the series (like me!) finally witness the culmination of the tension-filled non-relationship that Alec Grayson and Lilliana Hancock have had going since the beginning. It was clear that these two would end up giving in to the obvious attraction that they've been trying to deny exists but one everyone else in Falcon has noticed.

Alec has been one of those supporting characters that comes off a certain way, but you know that the man has his reasons for being the way that he is. Trust is something that's been used and abused in his life as a football player and he's learned the hard way that once the status and stature is taken away from you, your so-called friends and people who claim to love and adore you disappear just as quickly. Being an assistant coach to the Falcon High School football team allows him to still be part of a sport that he loves, a sport that's become part of his identity, but he prefers to be alone, and it isn't until he and Lilliana act on their attraction does he start to realize that maybe it's time for him to open himself up to her and other people.

The side story involving one of the team's star players, Hunter Galloway, is integral to the transformation that happens with Alec as well as his relationship with Lilliana. Giving and becoming more than what's expected of him is all part of Alec's evolution, but it's a process that plays out in a heartwarming manner filled with ups and downs. Both Alec and Lilliana make changes in their lives in this story, changes that are necessary for them to move forward, not just as individuals but as a couple with hopes for a future together. his was my favorite among the three novels, and that's saying a lot since I loved the first two . I'm highly recommending you read the Falcon Football series and I'm giving Melting Into You five-plus stars. ♥

4.5 stars

I’ve really loved the books of Laura’s that I’ve read so far in this series, but I have to admit to a secret. Each one gets better, and this one is by far my favorite! Sure, each couple has its own unique characteristics and quirks. Each one has tragic secrets and special affinities. But this one is special–really special. And I’m still remembering how sweet their story is!

Lilliana Hancock had to return home to Falcon from New York after her father died and left her the family mansion. Broke and unable to afford to fix it up, she’s eeking out the repairs, one at a time, hoping to turn it into a working B&B. Unfortunately, that puts her into contact with the grumpy town building inspector that she’d rather not be around. Why is Alec Grayson such a jerk to her? It’s not like he remembers their past! Anyway, she’s the one who should be mad about that.

Alec Grayson’s got the world on his shoulders. It’s so hard to reconcile his past with his life now. Used to being a “football” hero in high school, college and in the NFL, it had all come crashing down when he’d injured his knee. He’d lost everything–his fake friends, his partying lifestyle, his fake girlfriend, and his parents when he found out they’d abused his finances. Worse, he’d lost his self-respect when he realized that he’d bought into his own hype. He’d had to completely rebuild his entire life. The one saving grace is that he was asked to help coach the high school football team, which has reawakened his love of the sport. At least he’s got one good thing in his life again.

I really enjoy returning to Falcon. It’s a great small, southern town and by now I’m used to it. If you haven’t read any of the other books, don’t worry. With my faulty memory, I have trouble remembering a lot of the details too…I just remember the feeling these books give me, and I’m easily able to pick up. The characters are funny and smart and the atmosphere that’s created is so down home and sweet, you’ll feel like you’re drinking sweet tea and sitting on the front porch talking with these people instead of reading about them in this book. Perfect read for the season!

Alec Grayson is the hometown football hero who had success in college football and was lucky enough to make it to the big leagues of the NFL, but his time in the big leagues was cut short with a career ending injury. Being in the big leagues comes with its perks, but also brings out dishonest people who are only around to cash in on your successes, which happened to be the case with Alec's girlfriend. As soon as she found out he couldn't return to the game, she decided he was no longer of use to her, so she left, and took his trust in others. With nothing left for him in the big city he decides to move home to Falcon, and make an attempt ato a new start, and finds his way back to the field, as a football coach. He also has a successful contracting business and does building inspections for the city, which takes him to the home of one Miss Lilliana Hancock. He has admired her from afar for a very long time, but every time he's around her she gives him the cold shoulder, and he can't imagine why...it's like they have a tainted history that he doesn't seem to remember.

Lilliana Hancock gave up her dreams of being a successful artist and moved home to Falcon the minute she learned of her father's passing. With her families treasured estate up for grabs she decides to keep it and turn it into a B&B and use her savings to restore it back to its natural glory. With most of the repairs completed now all she needs is a stamp of approval from the city building inspector before she can declare her B&B open for business, only problem is that the inspector just so happens to be her college crush and the guy who broke her heart...

This series has truly been one of my favorite reads this year, every installment is packed with enthralling content, heated banter, and steamy scenes that will have you reaching for a fan! Laura Trentham has created quite the literary treat for readers with this series, and she continues to impress me with her writing and these wonderfully developed characters. I highly recommend you give this series a try, it's sure to satisfy all your reading needs, and leave you with a happy heart.

Oh, how I love this series. Each time I read one I think that it can’t get any better and then it does :)

Poor Alec is so burned by his past that he’s shut himself off from everyone. He’s decided that it is easier not to engage than to take the chance on being used again. But that doesn’t stop him from feeling an attraction to Lilliana, who seems to hate him for some unknown reason.

Lilliana is burdened by an interesting mix of fear, expectation and guilt. She’s back in Falcon and turning her family home into a B&B, although she’s an artist at heart. Add to that, being home puts her in close proximity to the guy who doesn’t remember their one night together in college … and he’s still just as sexy as ever, even if he does seem a whole lot colder.

There’s a fantastic sub-plot with one of Alec’s players. It’s a good vehicle to not only help Lilliana and Alec get together, but it also helps bring Alec out of his shell and create relationships with others. He slowly starts opening up and it is a great thing to watch him learn to trust again.

There were quite a few times in the beginning of this book that I just wanted these two to talk to one another. A lot of their troubles would have been avoided that way but once they start moving their way to a relationship those times became less and less. And I cheered so hard for them once they finally got things straightened out.

I definitely hope Trentham isn’t done with this series - I just love her way with characters and plot. Her books are fun, fast reads with characters that just draw me in. Plus I really want to know what happens to some of the secondary characters we’ve gotten to know. Especially Whitey – that guy deserves a second chance and there is a moment in this story that I hope is Trentham hinting that she’s going to give him one.

Laura Trentham has become one of my favorite small town/sport romance writers with the Falcon Football series. Her story telling gets better and better with each book. Melting Into You is so far, my favorite one!!

This is the story of Alec Grayson and Lilliana Hancock ... two people finding themselves back home and back in each other's lives, but not by choice. They're both home to find themselves in one way or another. And they have history ...

One of the greatest things about this series is that even tho the focus of the story is a romance between two people, the town of Falcon, Alabama also gets a story :) The author stared this trend with book 1, Slow and Steady Rush, and has continued to make sure the towns people and the town itself grow with each story! It's really unique! It's really sad to see this series end because I really really love the town of Falcon!

OK, so Alec and Lillian both have some serious baggage. You would think they wouldn't be suited for each other, but you would be wrong. From the beginning, these two have had chemistry and spark. Their banter alone tells you there's something simmering .... and once they both let go of their pasts, they are beautifully heartwarming together. Their second chance was perfectly set up and developed just right. I loved their story of not only self discovery, but discovery of each other.

Melting Into You can easily be read as a standalone, but I don't recommend it. Not because you'll miss anything to do with Alec and Lillian, but you will miss the story of Falcon, Alabama itself. And that would just be a shame!!

Melting into You is the third book in the Falcon football series. I have enjoyed every book in th series and this one is no exception. Lilliana Hancock has returned to Falcon after a time in New York working on her art. When her father- with whom she had a love/hate relationship- leaves her the crumbling family home, she decides to turn it into a B&B. Standing in her way is Alec Grayson, inspector, HS football coach, and the former pro football player. Lilliana had always had a thing for Alec until her dream seemingly came true in college and they “hooked up”. Sadly, Alec left the next morning with barely a word and Liliana has not been a fan ever since.
When Alec comes early for his home inspection, Lilliana has relaxed with a little homegrown help and the long simmering attraction comes to a head and she propositions him. After incredibly hot sex, Alec gets it in his head that she is trying to “bribe” him into passing the inspection and again leaves her alone and angry.
I was glad that these two could finally talk about what happened and start to have a real relationship. Lilliana makes a conscious decision to not tell him about their encounter in college when it becomes clear Alec doesn’t remember. Alec and Lilliana become involved in the bad home situation of one of Alec’s players and that brings them even closer. Their strong attraction to each other keeps them together through ups and downs and the sex is pretty darn good as well.
The great thing about books in a series is seeing old favorite characters from previous books interspersed in the story. This book could be read on its own but I recommend reading the others as well. I hope we’ll see more of Falcon in future books.

4.5 / 5 stars

While not my favorite FALCON FOOTBALL story, it was still a cute one, and a nice way to close out this group of friends. In MELTING INTO YOU, we have the last coach in this trio of men, Alec Grayson. As with the men before, we learn of Alec's past and his, too, wasn't all peaches and rainbows. A career ending injury took him off the NFL field and into Falcon as the quarterback coach. But, like with the previous book, Alec finds himself a pet cause in senior Hunter.

I loved the history between Alec and Lilliana. There's was a one night stand that Lilliana has been holding on to and when she re-meets him, high mind you, she's a bit hurt that he doesn't recognize her. Beyond that, she's a bit embarrassed by the fact that she's still attracted to him, that she scopes him out at the football field when sitting with her girlfriends (who have legit reasons for being there, of course).

I most loved Lilliana when she was slightly inebriated. Her thoughts, her actions... they helped show what a suppressed woman she typically was, and finding a person who allowed her to open up and truly be herself, be comfortable with herself, was enjoyable.

Alec is guarded, as was certainly his right. He'd been burned by those closest to him, so while I enjoyed watching him bring out the sassy, spunky Lilliana, I truly enjoyed watching Lillyana bring out all that Alec was.

Laura Trentham certainly brought forth a cute group of people; her ability to write this small town and these three groupings of people was done so incredibly well. I do hope she brings more forth to the contemporary genre (the 'KISS' trilogy I see???).

Alec Grayson has come back home to Falcon, Alabama after years of feeling lost while playing football. After watching how his fame changed a lot of the people around him; Alec is afraid to trust anyone again, until... in walks Lilliana Hancock

Lilliana Hancock decides to leave the New York City life behind to turn her family home into a B&B. Everything should be great right?...Wrong!

Every time one thing goes right a million things go wrong and Alec Grayson the town contractor is always finding every one of those things!

To make matters worse Alec pulled her V card in college and he doesn't even remember! So what's a girl to do when her first love is continuously thrown into her path? Show him that she's worth remembering this time around...of course!

I received this book as an ARC from Net Galley for my honest review

Immediately after I completed book one I have been biting my nails while waiting for this to be released. Trentham did a great job keeping this book hot and fun while drawing you in and pulling at your heart strings.

Both characters in this book were great. Lilliana appeared to be this whirlwind of fun and good times but deep down she wanted someone to appreciate how talented she was and love her just as she was.

Alec on the other hand appeared to be this serious guy who cared only about his dog and football but in reality he was also looking for someone to see beyond what was on the surface. He didn't want to be loved because he was an ex-NFL star but for the man he was inside.

Overall this book made me laugh, sweat (from the explosive heat!) and cry at all of the right times. This book is selling right now for 3.99 on Kindle Amazon and I think it is worth way more. Great job Trentham, cant wait for the next book.

Awww. This is a perfectly sweet small-town, wholesome yet sexy, heartwarming romance. Trentham delivers sass and warmth in yet another football story where the players aren’t the only ones who score.

Lilliana may have inherited the old mansion in Falcon, but she’s determined to make it into a warm and welcoming place again. However, her plans to create a B&B are stalled by that awful pepto bismol pink bathroom and its faulty electrical system. When Alec, the town inspector, comes to review her progress the only thing that sparks is their connection. Suddenly clothes are ripped off, tattoos are being licked, and they lose any semblance of common sense.

Alec has a hard time trusting anyone after his parents betrayed him and while he’s been eye-fucking Lilliana for months, he’s pretty sure she hates him. At least he thought so until that night surrounded in pink tile.

The two of them together are a basket full of confused emotions and motivations. While Lilliana keeps the secret of their past, Alec doesn’t exactly do that all much to assuage her concerns that he isn’t going to cut and run at the first sign of trouble. This is small town, everyone-knows-everyone, realistic romance. There is no major angst or long bouts of separation, but there IS seriously sinfully hot sex. So, basically – you should read it.

Trentham never fails to put a smile on my face and this book wasn’t any different. 4 stars!

Three things among others in particular make me a fan of this Falcon Football Series installment:

1) Laura Trentham is able to hold my attention even though she incorporates a pet peeve of mine–(sorry, small spoiler here) sex without protection—and actually make me embrace the trope.

2) The side story that incorporates Alec’s relationship with his star quarterback makes me melt just a little.

3) Brilliant use of incorporating Art.

Lilliana Hancock has returned from New York to start a Bed and Breakfast after her father passes away and leaves her Hancock house – a bit of a local historical monument. All would be fine if she could just get the wiring to code so she could pass inspection. Too bad Alec Grayson, first class jerk – yeah he’s hot, but he’s still a jerk – or at least he used to be, is the one who needs to pass the inspection. While Lilliana won’t ever forget how he callously took her virginity and then left her, Alec seems to have no recollection, nor does he understand her vitriol towards him.

So when he stops by to inspect the house, Lilliana is frantic. Her wiring is still not up to code and he’s still cold, callous, and gorgeous. Enter the art and unprotected sex.

After tearing his shirt when he shimmies out of a cabinet, blood starts to ooze through the fabric. When she tries to remove it in order to mend the shirt and tend to his minor flesh wound, Alec’s tattoo is revealed. And to an artist’s eye, like Lilliana’s, it is perfection.

Melting Into You is the third book in the Falcon Football series and Alec Grayson and Lilliana Hancock's story.

I have been looking forward to Alec and Lilliana's story since reading Caught Up In The Touch (book 2 of the series) and I was not disappointed.

Liliana returns to her hometown after she inherits her fathers mansion. She decides to turn the property into a B&B, but being a struggling artist, she has little money to play with. Lilliana is sassy, independent and easy to relate to. Alec is a former NFL player and now an independent contractor, town building inspector and quarterback coach. After he left the NFL, he found that people he loved and trusted were only with him because of his career and this has left him with major trust issues. Lilliana and Alec have a history, but only Lilliana remembers what happened. With Lilliana's building plans and Alec being the town building inspector, they are forced to spend time together. They are also brought together when they both step in to help a teenager in trouble.

In this well written contemporary romance, the lead characters were well developed and both likable. Lilliana and Alec had great chemistry and banter and I loved their interactions. The love scenes were very hot too! Melting Into You had a captivating story and some great supporting characters too. I look forward to revisiting the town of Falcon and eagerly await the next instalment of the series.

Heather's review from Smut MattersAny book that opens with the heroine smoking a joint is probably going to be pretty good. And this one was. I really liked Lilliana and Alec. I love couples that balance each other out. Alec had some pretty serious baggage into their relationship, and some real hangups about honesty and truth. I got it, given his history it made sense, but Lilliana had a secret she was keeping from him because she thought it would add to his baggage. I didn't really buy into her reasoning behind keeping her secret, mainly because I didn't really think it was that big a deal. Alec and Lilliana had drunken sex one night in college. Alec actually took Lilliana's virginity that night, but Alec has no memory of this event. Mainly because Lilliana was one in a long line of drunken frat-party hookups for Alec, not because he was black-out drunk or anything. That's it. That's the whole secret she was determined to keep from him.

Overall, this was a light, charming read. There wasn't a ton of angst, just two people who are finding their way to each other. I liked the town Trentham has created here, and the secondary characters. I was sufficiently charmed to put the first two books on hold at my library so I can read those, too.

I just adore this series! Such a great slice of small own charm mixed with humble characters and rich history. You couldn’t ask for a better cast of characters, you just fall in love with each and every one of them.

This is Lilliana and Alex’s story.
If you haven’t read the first two books in this series it’s worth the read before you read this one, but you wouldn’t have to.
Alec has spent years of his life avoiding connections to others because of how often and how much he had been hurt in the past. Lilliana is the girl everyone would love to have as a best friend.
It takes some time but these two finally fall in love! I wouldn’t have had it any other way! I love that they needed to break through each other’s walls and get through the defenses they’ve had up for years. It wasn’t easy and that is what will make it memorable for the reader.

I just love the style of Laura’s writing and how she makes these characters come to life for the reader. I highly recommend you take some time and sit down with these books….you won’t regret it!

I really enjoyed this addition to this series! I've given every book in this series 5 stars so far, and this one was just as excellent as the other books. I think the main reason I enjoyed this book was because I really liked Lilliana! She's quirky, sassy, and I like how she doesn't hide her thoughts; she did seem a bit too naïve at times though, but I still think she's great. I like that she's an artist, and I liked the setting of the not quite a B&B yet house. I also enjoyed Alec, he's a bit of a tough guy, but he's a big softy underneath. Alec and Lilliana had some great chemistry, and their sex scenes were indeed steamy. I liked the storyline with Alec's parents, and I like having the characters from the other books in this book; I actually would've liked to have more of them! The situation with Alec's quarterback was interesting, but I didn't totally like how it ended up; Lilliana got the shaft in that situation; also you don't need a duffle bag for that amount of money, I was laughing at that. Fun, sweet read with some interesting characters. I recommend this whole series!
