PT Talvez a melhor aventura de Thorgal que li até agora.

Está tudo aqui: tudo o que me fez gostar desta série. Vikings, batalhas, mistério, intriga, sobrenatural, justiça, honra… e todas as personagens que aprendi a apreciar.

Curiosamente, é também neste volume que nasce a filha de Thorgal, a Loba.

Everything is here: everything that made me love this series. Vikings, battles, mystery, intrigue, the supernatural, justice, honor… and all the characters I've come to appreciate.

Interestingly, this is also the volume where Thorgal's daughter, Loba, is born.

This was an exciting tale of betrayal and revenge. The protagonist, Thorgal, is to be commended for standing up to an autocrat that would claim to be king of the Vikings.

Vuelve la serie a ofrecer su máximo potencial. Una historia fabulosa por su sencillez argumental (el regreso de Thorgal a su pueblo para ver nacer a su nuevo bebé no es tan plácido como esperaban) y por la construcción de personajes. Van Hamme nos presenta una Aarcia muy fuerte, y a Thorgal y Jolan enfrentándose a sus propios miedos. El dibujo de Rosinski, la planificación de las viñetas, no tiene ningún fleco. Simplemente espectacular, demostrando por qué este fue uno de los mejores cómics en los 80 y en los 90 (con el tándem Van Hamme/Rosinski en estado de gracia). Un cómic juvenil (más de catorce años) con unas tramas absolutamente adultas y que lleva el cómic de aventuras europeo a alcanzar cotas nunca vistas. De diez.

Kennt Ihr das? Ein Buch fängt an, und bereits nach wenigen Absätzen erkennt man, dass böse Menschen in schlimmen Zeiten den guten Menschen, die wir schätzen und lieben gelernt haben, das Leben schwer machen werden. Ich bin in einer Phase, in der ich keine Lust habe, über schlimme Ereignisse und Prüfungen im Leben zu lesen, mir liegt leichte, humorvolle Unterhaltung gerade mehr. Da ist es schon eine Überwindung, nach den ersten paar Panels dieses Thorgal-Bands weiterzulesen.

Letztlich rentiert es sich aber, wie immer bei dieser Reihe. Hier bekommen wir eine Mischung aus "Predator" und "Rambo: First Blood" zu sehen, spektakulär, superspannend, tragisch und mit vielen eindrücklichen Bildern. Vielleicht ein bisschen klischeehaft. Dennoch großartig.

Na tym etapie jest to bardzo równa seria, po której mniej więcej wiadomo czego się spodziewać, ale nie ma siary, nie ma obniżki lotów i jakichś irytujących uproszczeń. Spięcie losów Thorgala z historią kaleki mszczącego się za śmierć bliskich bardzo zgrabne

For some reason, this album has always held a special place in my heart, possibly because Aaricia is my favorite character and she just kicks so much ass in this album. (After all, it's not Thorgal but her who is depicted on the cover.) The story feels very familial to me, what with the coming home to have another baby and Thorgal being so protective of Aaricia and Jolan (and Jolan himself being pretty cool and hinting at his future as the serie's main protagonist).

The high of the album is without a doubt the intense scene of childbirth with Aaricia and the wolf. It's such a magnificent way for Louve to be born and I love how it ties up with her later powers. I also love how Thorgal and Jolan are fighting their manly war while Aaricia is really the one having the most strength in this album. Also, she looks so pretty with her enormous belly!

Rodzina Thorgala musi uciekać przed zemstą Vora Wspaniałego, któremu Thorgal odmówił udziału w wyprawie wojennej. Aaricia w zaawansowanej ciąży ukrywa się w lesie, ale zbliża się termin porodu. Uwielbiam Thorgala. Jak byłam w podstawówce, wszyscy czytali Thorgala, Kajko i Kokosza, Asterixa i Obelixa oraz Tytusa, Romka i A'Tomka.

Thorgal wraz z żoną i synem wracają w rodzinne strony, ponieważ kobieta chce powić swoje drugie dziecko w domu, jaki pamięta z dzieciństwa. Jest to okazja, aby zapoznać się z tym, co się zmieniło w czasie, gdy rodzina podróżowała po świecie. Władcą lokalnych włości i przyszłym królem na zostać niejaki Vor, który z chęcią by zobaczył Thorgala w swojej drużynie.

Mężczyzna jednak woli być przy narodzinach swojego potomka, więc naraża się przyszłemu władcy tak srogo, że ten postanawia odegrać się i wyeliminować bohatera i jego bliskich... Fajnie, że historia ma drugie dno, a i przeszłość lubi się upomnieć o dawne krzywdy. Historia jest w gruncie rzeczy prosta, ale angażująca, bo postacie już zdążyłem polubić.

Kreska Rosińskiego to mistrzostwo świata, nawet jeżeli ma ponad trzydzieści lat. Pamiętam, że takie style, zresztą podobne w Lucky Luke'u czy Asterixie i Obelixie robiły potężną robotę i stanowiły po części to co kochałem w komiksach w dzieciństwie. Ta seria nie jest wyjątkiem i choć potężny sentyment pozostał z tamtych czasów, to ocena jest jak najbardziej zasłużona.

Thorgal continua con la sua media impressionante di qualità: anche l'importante capitolo legato alla nascita di Lupa, secondogenita di Aegirsson, si sviluppa con una struttura forse da pilota automatica (Wor il Magnifico è tutto fuorchè un personaggio carismatico, anche se Van Hamme non ha il carisma in mente, per definirlo), ma comunque solidissima e interessante. Oltre che epica come si conviene a certi momenti del figlio delle stelle. Disegni al solito impeccabili da parte di Rosinski.

Thorgal is coming back to his adoptive village with Aaricia who is about to deliver their second baby. But as often, there are unlucky elements in the way. So Thorgal and his family are put under danger, again. But I love how its the same scheme but simultaneously it's different and not boring. The wolf element is a lovely touch and there is plenty of action. And I love how the main story is accompanied by the secondary one (pillaged village from before) and gives the main story good thrill.

Zwangere vrouwen zijn al een zeldzaamheid in de stripwereld en bevallingen al helemaal. Alleen al dat gegeven maakt 'De wolvin' bijzonder. In dit album wordt het verhaal na twee tussenalbums weer opgepakt: Thorgal keert terug naar huis, maar vindt daar allesbehalve vrede. Dit is weer een onaangenaam geweld- en dodenrijk album, waarin zelfs Thorgal zelf verandert in een wraakzuchtige moordenaar. Zeer fraai getekend, dat wel.

Thorgal nous entraine encore dans une nouvelle aventure, au récit intrigant et aux illustrations très réussies (surtout dans ce tome, qui retrace la naissance de la fille de Thorgal, Louve), dans un cycle "VERS LE NORD" composé des tomes 15 à 17, dont c'est le second. Les dialogues, les personnages, et l'originalité et les aspects réalistes du récit, que je découvre longtemps après sa sortie, en font, pour moi, une œuvre majeure.

Un album clé avec les circonstances de la naissance de Louve, le deuxième enfant de Thorgal. Il y a des personnages qui sortent un peu de nulle part mais qui repartent aussi vite. Mise à part la naissance de l'enfant, il n'y a rien de très marquant dans cet album de mon point de vue. Mais il est toujours agréable de retrouver ensemble dans les mêmes bulles Thorgal, Aaricia et Jolan.

Wolf Cub is the graphic novel showing how Thorgal tries to protect his pregnant wife. Themes of family protection are again the backbone of the story sprinkled with a couple of revenge arcs. With a good portrayal of Viking women's resilience, it is really Aaricia that is the protagonist here.

Thorgal's heavily pregnant wife Aaricia wishes to give birth in her childhood home, but upstart Wor-the-Magnificent, a would-be king of all the vikings, interrupts their journey. He wants Thorgal and their longship in his war party. Not the most fantastical episode, but it has its moments of drama.
