When Akira and his younger brother's mother suddenly dies, the father they had never known sends his right-hand man, Hyougami to retrieve the two to live with him. Their father turns out to be the chairman of the powerful Kasuga group-a company that rules everything with their influence, including the new life of the brothers. Akira soon finds out his life is being controlled by Hyougami-and Hyougami will use everything in his arsenal to get what he wants.
Holy hell, this was hurt/comfort WOBBLES OF KNOCK ME OVER INTENSITY! And yet, the story and the characters were woefully underdeveloped. Ah, well. Memorable, all the same. Got a pinch of epic psychology too: how the brain will convince itself something is desired (when it's actually terrifically horrible) simply to save sanity and live some sort of content life.
After Akira's mother dies from cancer, Akira and his brother are taken in by Akira's father. Akira's mother was the mistress of this powerful man and until now, he has not been a part of their lives. They are collected by their father's right hand man, Hyougami, a handsome and charismatic executive of their father's company. Akira's brother is a very talented pianist, but some trouble with his eyes causes Akira concern. Will Akira do anything to protect his brother? Even if it means succumbing to Hyougami's advances?
I enjoyed this manga. I thought Hyougami was very sexy and the relationship between Akira and Hyougami was believable.
This book is face paced, and doesn't really flesh out the characters very much. The main characters aren't in a healthy relationship (till the end) and the portrayal of mental illness bugged me a bit. The father's relationship is also weird and every bad thing he has ever done is instantly forgiven just because it was the mother's wish for him not to part of the family.

I gave this rating because the story was a unique one with a slight twist. With equally unique characters. I recommend this story for those yaoi fans looking for a change of pace. ;)
