Pierce is part of an Alpha and Omega secret society in Victorian London, and on a night he least expects it, he finds love at the Morningstar Club. Once with child, his Omega, Owen, must go into hiding at the club, and his disappearance imperils the whole club's secret identity.
They are saved by another group that hides their secret in plain sight: the Sanguine Society of fanged blood drinkers. The union of these two clubs opens a whole new world of secrecy and seduction.
*Disclaimer*: This book contains adult, sexually explicit content with an intense sex scene, male breeding and knotting and dominant alpha with his delicate rare omega. This should not be viewed for anyone under the age of 18
I was really enjoying this book, thinking I'd found a new author to put on my auto-buy paranormal list until 85% in. My main pet peeve: cheating. And not just plain 'ol cheating, but an onscreen threesome. So, up until that point the plot was a very sweet. A typical Alpha/Omega M/M love story between Pierce and Owen. Nothing too angsty or saccharine sweet, but the cute telling of two men who grew up together and now meet again, fall in love and make a baby in 19th century England. I'm on board this mpreg train as I'm reading.
However, out of the blue, with no warning, the author commits the cardinal sin of having Pierce step out on Owen with some random vampire character. I could have forgiven that - hey vampires are hot - if Pierce had gone back and asked Owen to forgive him. But then we get surprise threesome between all three, and then I was done. Book ruined. If the blurb mentioned this book had a threesome, I missed it. It's listed as M/M, not M/M/M. For readers who like just the two main characters together, this was a huge letdown. I'm glad I didn't buy it, but used my KU program.
I gave it two stars as the writing was competent and liked the plot up until that point. I won't be reading this author again, because if I can't trust them to correctly label a book on Amazon, then I pass to avoid any issues in the future. YMMV.
So far Aiden this is the best story out of all your stories. Don't mean this in a bad way because ALL of your stories are very good. I would like to have your stories be a little bit longer. How about writing a novel with several chapters. I sort of have a plot bunny but would like to give it to you in your email. Email me if you would like to hear the story.
