" Lion catch's him a Sassy Lioness "
This amazing "Southern Shifters" book is so suspenseful from the start!.
You know its an incredible book when you can not put it down!. The story line is so amazing and fits perfect in with the other books in this series!. The characters are fantastic!. Sassy is right as Derria is a spunky bounty hunter for S.W.A.T Shifter and Were Armed Tactics agency. She is hot on the tail of her bounty which leads her to the Dragons tail. The Dragons tail is a very winding road in the mountains of North Carolina. Derria looses sight of him so she decides to satay at the closest town which is Deals Gap. Deals Gap is a town made up of unique,wacky, and amazing shifters with a few humans some with magical powers. Kerr Blackwood is a wolf shifter,and is Derria's bounty he does not know why a bounty hunter is after him. But he has a hidden hide out near Deals Gap. Lokota aka Kota is another S.W.A.T agent the town leader Blric gets a hold of Kota and tells him about Derria. Some how Blric knows they are S.W.A.T which he should not know. Blric tells Kota to meet Derria at the tavern called Dark moon. When Kota gets a whiff od Derria he knows three things she is a lioness,she is his mate and he must have her lol. Derria and Kota work together to find Kerr only as they investigate they discover a mystery. Some thing is fishy about this case!. You will love this suspenseful and compelling Romance!. It is a must must read book!.

This is my first time reading a book for T.J. Michael. I love her writing style. The story was wild and fun. It's part of the southern shifters series and each book they put out can be read as a Stand alone. They all take place in the area or have something to do with tail of the Dragon (road in the mountains) and with Deal's Gap (a paranormal town)
this book is about Derria Sozi Pryde. She is a kick butt bounty hunter who works for S.W.A.T. (Shifter and we're armed tactics) agency.
She was sent on a hunt or or kill order for Kerr Blackwood. Only things aren't adding up as to why he needs a kill order and then there is Lakota Phillips' another S.W.A.T. officer. This is his area why wasn't he sent or even told?
That's when things heat up and the hot factor goes sky-high. Lol
Great story. Great characters. I will be looking into other books by T.J. Michael. I hope there is plans to extend this story. I would love to read more! She knows how to write a great story! I loved it

Lakota, Derria and Kerr are the perfect group that I can't wait to read more about. The development of this story from beginning to end was enjoyable. How this story is developed in the next Pryde book will be great.

This is the fourth book in the Pryde Ranch series. It does stand on its own, though now I’m curious about the rest of the pride…, but it also has a cliff-hanger. The primary conflict (why she’s chasing the rogue, Kerr, is not resolved), but it is an excellent introduction to all of the characters and I didn’t feel cheated by it ending where it did.
This is also a novella in the Southern Shifters Kindle World, set in the Tail of the Dragon area in the Southern Appalachian Mountains. In this world, this book also stands alone and does not need any other knowledge, though there are references to other story lines that has me clamoring for more!
I have to share my favorite statement from Lakota. “Derria is one of the most capable women I know. If she could get here and ambush you alone, trust me, she’ll be fine. Besides, the newly healed claw marks on my chest from just this morning are a reminder that when I get the urge to try to control her, it’s best to change my mind.”
That about sums up Derria. She is doing her job and nobody, not even a mate, will get in her way. I loved that she immediately recognizes the mate bond and doesn’t fight it….the first time around.
Kerr is the mystery man running from Derria with no idea why he is being chased. He is hot and alpha. I fell in love with him on page one even if he was the “bad guy.”
Lakota (‘Kota to his friends) is a basketful of secrets, but everything changes when he meets Derria. He is also hot and alpha. From first sight, he is devoted to making Derria’s life easier and more comfortable, whether that means tracking a rogue or finding her a place to lie down at night.
If they were food, Lakota would be dark chocolate, Kerr a cinnamon caramel, and Derria the cherry whip that brings them all together. Now I’m hungry for more of them, more Southern Shifters, and a special chocolate, caramel, cherry treat! If you’re looking for me, I’ll be in the kitchen with a wooden spoon in one hand and my Kindle in the other.

Great look into two series.
In this book, you get a look into the Pryde series and into the Kindle Worlds of Eliza Gayle's Southern Shifters series. I already have over half of the Southern Shifters KW novellas, so obviously I'm liking those. And I've bought the first book in the Pryde series, so I liked the look into that world also.
I would have given this book five stars if it had been edited a little better. There were obvious mistakes, like a sentence repeated twice in the same paragraph, and it wasn't something done to make a point. It was a sentence about how the hero's hair was messed up after he shifted back to human. There was another time with a repeated sentence and then obvious mistakes that were probably typos that made it past the editing process. Just little things that built up to a level that became annoying. It was not by any means enough to make me stop reading though. The plot and the storyline made those errors small in comparison.
****Slight spoiler**** I was disappointed that the book ended on a pretty big cliffhanger with the mystery element going unsolved. And no specific book pointed out as being the one with the resolution in it. Since I already planned to check out the Pryde series, I'm hoping the answer will be in there, but I have no guarantees on that.
I would recommend this book to fans of the KW Southern Shifters novellas and fans of the Pryde series. Even though there were a few disappointing elements to the book, it was still worth the time and money involved.

Just … O.M.G. This is one seriously HOT shifter ménage! This addition to the Southern Shifters collaboration of authors, just for Amazon’s Kindle Worlds , is set in Eliza Gayle’s neck of the woods – Tail of the Dragon, in the Smokey Mountains. This is off-the-radar shifter central, with multiple species living in close proximity, each “clan” under their own law enforcement.
The synopsis of the novella is to the point, but does nothing to convey the skill this author uses to develop her characters, and provide background into their particular lives. The storyline is seamless, and the reader doesn’t feel they have come into a plot half-way through. This is a standalone novella, but it feels like a much longer novel … not because it drags, but because it is so full of content, which flows from the pages.
And did I mention the two uber-hot, uber-alpha shifters which are BOTH apparently the heroine’s mates? I love that neither male had ever considered sharing a mate, as some storylines have done, but because of the strong need to provide whatever their mate needs, they can readily accept the other’s place in a triad. There is so much steam in this author’s written words, that even detailed sex acts are not necessary (but are provided).
This is a definite win for Kindle Worlds, T.J. Michaels and Southern Shifters! And T.J. Michaels is definitely on my TBR list as of now!

This little story really packed a punch. It kept me focused and absorbed in the story. what I want to tell about would be spoilers so I can't. The character were really well developed. And hot too. I didn't know there would be two mates for one person. I usually avoid reading books like that but I will have to say it was done very tastefully and the reasoning explained very well. It made it feel like a natural thing. I guess in the wild there are species that there is only one male to a bunch of females so I guess anything is possible with shifters. This author has a brilliant mind. I'm definitely going to read her other stuff. The only thing I counted off for is the ending. I wanted to throw my kindle across the room. Don't let this stop you from reading it though. The mates have their happily ever after but we never find out who the bad guy is. I can understand why though. Because the heroine is from Wyoming and the book is set in NC. There's a mole somewhere between the two places. So it could be involved in several more stories. Which makes me want one question answered: is there going to be a follow up book where we find out who it is? Please let there be!

This was good. Action, suspense, excitement, sexy. My only problem was it was very much a middle story, and I hadn't read the other Pryde Ranch shifters stories. I was totally able to follow it, but I bet I would have enjoyed it even more with some more background.
Somehow, shifters from other parts of the country are different from shifters in The Dragon Tail (just an area of NC). Our heroine is from Wyoming and is enlightened when she starts experiencing things differently. She also meets...no spoilers. It gets hot and heavy. There is a jaguar shifter, and they are both working for the same secret, but official, shifter enforcement organization. She has been sent to kill what she thinks is a dangerous rogue shifter. Things don't add up, and she doesn't take action without knowing what is going on, though. It turns out that she has more than one mate, and they need to work together to solve the mystery of why she was sent after the wolf, who isn't a rogue. I wish a few more things were resolved, but it was good.
The sexy times were great, the dialog was great and I loved the very strong lady lion shifter and her mates.

Dare, Derria, is a strong, confident lioness shifter, a SWAT agent sent after a rogue wolf shifter. Directed by her techno savvy cousins, Dare is in hot pursuit but forced to take a rest for the night. Unbeknownst to her prey has injected him with a tracking device, so he's not getting away. Lakota Phillips, an undercover SWAT agent, who is aware she's coming and serves as the liaison for her to get permission from council members to pass through the Neutral Zone. Not even knowing there was a Neutral Zone, Dare reluctantly agrees. Lakota recognizes her as his mate and, with a little persuasion and her shifter sense of smell returning, Dare realizes he's right. However, no hot guy is going to get in the way of capturing her rogue. Funny, no one else seems to know what he's wanted for. With some twists and turns, Dare finally latches onto her prey, Kerr Blackwood, and his smell...holy cow! Shiftin' Sassy is a fluid, well-written story with a good plot and plenty of HOT. Thoroughly enjoyable shifter novella.

Derria is not afraid of anything or anyone. She loves fast bikes and chasing shifters who have violated the law. On a trip to track one, she finds much more than she bargained for. She meets two shifters that attract her like no others - Lakota and Kerr. The chemistry is amazing and I just wish there were more episodes with the mates exploring that chemistry. Lakota is an agent like her and he wants to protect her which doesn't work that well with her lion who wants to be treated like an equal. Kerr has a very interesting history that I would love to learn more about. He is the one she is sent to track but as she learns more she realizes something is up. Derria's family is very close now that they have found one another and I really enjoyed their family dynamic. They support one another but still take time to tease and taunt each other for some fun. It is a great read and I would love to see more with these characters. I received a copy in return for a honest review.

If you like your heroines strong, sassy and with an issue or two, as I do, you will adore this story as much as I did. I will say that you will enjoy it more if you’ve read any of the other Pryde Ranch Shifters books as this book assumes you know their world and rules. Derria is on a hunt but something stinks. The hunt takes her to the Tail of the Dragon area in the Southern Appalachian Mountains where she meets up with Lakota Phillips who is also a S.W.A.T. agent but knows nothing about her hunt. He does know that she is his future, his mate and he will do what it takes to convince her. This is a wonderful book that shows that just because a woman falls in love doesn’t mean she loses brain power.

I was pleasantly surprised by the way the story unfolded, but I do wish the end was a little longer. There is an open ending, leaving you ready for the next book (and hopefully the conclusion). Hot read
I really enjoyed the story. I like it when the female character is strong and knows what she wants. She is not afraid to go after anyone and expects to be treated as an equal. She has a dangerous job hunting down criminals. She really thrives on the excitement and isn't so fond of the other details like making nice with the clans.
The chemistry between the mates is blazing and I only wish the story was longer. I was hooked from the beginning. Their encounters are intense and the bond they feel so strong. They don't refuse it much except when safety is at stake. They then rally together to protect their own. I would love to see more stories gesturing them.

Purely Awesomeness!
I received this book in exchange for an honest review. Wow, I had no ideal about this series. Derria is a bad ass SWAT agent on the hunt of a rogue shifter wolf. She takes a small detour to rest and meets Lakota, a secret SWAT agent. They have an instant attraction and find out their mates. While tracking the rogue, Dare finds him then is hit with Kerr being her mate also. That's part of their dilemma. But who is setting Kerr up to be taken out. They don't know. They all are happy to be mates. Ok wow. What woman don't want to men loving and protecting her. It does kinda leave us with a cliffhanger though. But from reading this book that's ok with me.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review. Wow, I had no ideal about this series. Derria is a bad ass SWAT agent on the hunt of a rogue shifter wolf. She takes a small detour to rest and meets Lakota, a secret SWAT agent. They have an instant attraction and find out their mates. While tracking the rogue, Dare finds him then is hit with Kerr being her mate also. That's part of their dilemma. But who is setting Kerr up to be taken out. They don't know. They all are happy to be mates. Ok wow. What woman don't want to men loving and protecting her. It does kinda leave us with a cliffhanger though. But from reading this book that's ok with me.

I loved the characters in this book. Nothing like a no-nonsense female who can handle things by herself. The interaction with the other 2 male characters made this story sizzlin hot.
This is for any mature paranormal romance book reader.

Wow! This story will keep you reading from beginning to end. There is action, adventure, mystery, drama and of course fated mates. Darria is a no nonsense bounty hunter looking for her latest target Kerr. Kerr has no idea why Darria is after him and just wants to lay low. When she has to stop off in Deal's Gap, she meets Lakota. He is supposed to find out why she is in the Neutral Zone, but he may have just found his mate.
There are enough unanswered questions at the end to leave you hungry for book two! I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Great book!
Really good read, recommend to all those shifter lovers out there. Love the idea of there being a SWAT agency for shifters and that they hire strong shifter women! Derria is one lucky lioness who, while on a mission to track and kill a roque, finds not one but two mates! And one just so happens to be the wolf she's tracking! Book makes you want to read the next one just to find out who put the kill order out! Received this book in return for an honest review, so, honestly, you don't want to miss this one!

Southern shifter
Ok first cliff hanger. This book is a cross over and I will be getting the other series but what was delivered here was great. It fell right in with the rest. Novella is a new format for me but I'm loving the quick reads.

This book is my favorite in this series, tho I truly love them all. Michaels creates delicious and action packed fantasies. The characters are kick ass, and their romances are inspiring.
