The Recto Reader has a purpose to serve. It introduces one to the workings of one of the most brilliant minds of our race, which reveal as nothing else can the true measure of Recto's worth and achievement.

It is that and more. It serves our country too, for it projects into the conscience of our people much that is to be learned from the creed of nationalism that Recto espoused with so much ability, sincerity, eloquence and courage.

To drink deep then of the Recto Reader is a rich and rewarding experience.

This is a good compilation of Claro M. Recto's excerpts of his speeches. Clear and concise. Renato Constantino was able to put clarity of what Claro M. Recto had been fighting for. A real nationalist with a pure intent to claim real independence against America. He defined what a real nationalist must be and what not.
