On his reluctant return home for his parents’ fortieth anniversary, Lang Dillon’s life is changed forever on a dusty road in Saguaro Valley where he discovers Beth Morgan bent over her truck’s hood sobbing. Beth’s neat ordered life shattered, she turns to the sexy, handsome visitor for comfort and finds more than she bargained for as their white-hot romance develops.
Should Beth risk her heart again when Lang heads home to Boston in less than two weeks? Stay away she tells herself, but that proves impossible and Beth’s risks a broken heart once again. As a teenager, Lang could not get out of Saguaro fast enough, but this time it’s not so easy. Can he go back to the life he loves, leaving behind the beautiful woman he adores, the woman who has rocked his world as no woman ever has?

Hello, friends and generous readers!
Welcome to my Goodreads page! I write romances, mysteries, suspense, and women’s fiction. Grab one of my books and see what you think. Are you a fan of humorous, first-person mysteries? Readers have lots of fun with Ricky Steele (Prepped to Kill, Gadfly, Jigsaw, Lost in Spindle City, and Poof!). How about small-town cozy mysteries? Join Roger and Bess (A Friend of Silence, In the Name of Silence, and The Silence of Memory) in the village of Old Harbor where murders occur almost as much as in Cabot Cove. (Roger and Bess Mysteries).
Did someone say romance? Aside from stand-alone romances like Widow’s Island and Hestor’s Way, I write two popular romance series -- Morgan’s Run (twelve books and counting) and Morgan’s Fire (seven titles with more on the way!). Morgan’s Run books are set in the beautiful U.S. southwest and are peopled with gorgeous cowboys and strong, contemporary women. The spin-off series, Morgan’s Fire moved some of the gang east to the New England coastal village of Horseshoe Crab Cove where the romance sizzles and amazing couples find their way to happily ever after.
I also have a YA title, Song of the Spirit, an award-winning historical romance that explores the kidnapping, torture, and enculturation of indigenous children in so-called “Indian schools.” That book features one of my favorite characters, Wind Flower, a strong resilient teenager who protects her younger sister and holds onto her values and culture, despite the daily cruelties of life at Rose Academy.
I am now retired from teaching, but my scholarly work continues. I am currently writing about my recent research-- the impact of mindfulness on readers and writers. I live on a beautiful river and when not writing, I love to spend time with family and friends, practice yoga, swim, walk, canoe, and teach mindfulness to people of all ages. Life is full!

This was my first book by M. Lee Prescott and will not be my last. The characters were amazingly written I can't wait to read the next book. I also enjoyed how she would put the other characters views it wasn't just between the two main
I just won this book and read it in one day. It was a sweet love story. I have never read any of Ms Prescott's books before and found I liked enjoyed it. Just a simple romance but a nice read on a rainy day!
Another M. Lee Prescott book that won't disappoint! This contemporary romance is of two people who find their way back to each other.

Don't forget to read the rest of the storys in this series.
The protagonists fall headlong into lust which quickly goes deeper amid gracious living with servants and family drama. The heroine is a watering pot. The hero appears to be a reformed rake. The language is strangely old-fashioned. This has all the earmarks of a historical romance, except it takes place in modern times.
Like the first book, the romantic scenes are a bit cringe-inducing. The author seems uncomfortable writing explicit content. There are some oddities in the writing that could be massaged by a good line editor. And for the second book in a row, one of the minor character's names is consistently misspelled as Manual instead of Manuel. The author obviously used spell check and or editing software, but not a human editor.
I enjoyed this book, but not as much as Emma's Dream. The speed in which events happened seemed a little unrealistic, but this is fiction so that's okay. What I really love about this series is we get to follow the lives of previous characters we've fallen in love with. I highly recommend this series.
too many characters to keep up with and story line weak
The relationships were not believable. Too many characters minding others business. The story had potential but it was not developed well. I ended up skimming over it….
Oh my…what a beautifully done story. ❤️ The storyline was really good; the characters simply amazing; the plot was well done; and the HEA required tons of tissues for its amazing end. Get this book—you’re going to love it! ❤️❤️
In this second book in this series Lang found Beth along side the road. She had caught her long time boyfriend in bed with another woman. It doesn't take long for these two to hook up. But was it in revenge of her now ex? Or is there more to this chemistry between them?
