Welcome to my world! For the past decade, I have made it my mission to tell Elvis Presley’s true story in spite of all the rumors and myths floating around. So, what drew me to Elvis in the first place?
Aside from the obvious – that he had a million (make that a billion) dollars worth of talent, Elvis was the quintessential rags to riches story. Presley came from nothing, but he lived the American dream. Elvis worked hard and he played hard, and he tried to squeeze the most out of life that he could.
I am constantly fascinated with how Elvis handled his wealth and fame, what he did with his money, how he interacted with his fans, his personal relationships, and how he evolved as a person.
When I published my first book, ELVIS: Behind the Legend, in 2015, I had no idea I would be able to write a total of 4 Elvis books in 8 years! I'm planning to write more - stay tuned...

An interesting and short summary of Elvis life. The great king of the rock ‘n’ roll pop. The book I’m reading is called “Elvis: behind the legend” written by Trina Young. I wasn’t born when Elvis was singing or when he died. My mother said she was his number one fan. She still loves his music, songs and movies which still showing on the tv, when I was a child. Every middays I would watch him on a screen when he is making movies and singing at the same time. I love his movies and the songs. I am a rock roll chick. Sadly, it has been 45 years since his death. This book describes his relationships with his parents, in particular, his mother, the Beatles and how his life was shaped and how he was involved becoming a music from a young age. I learned so much about Elvis life.
The book was ok.But the writer kept going over and over the same thing. I thought I would learn something new about Elvis but nothing new. There was too much about The Beatles.
Good book of the condensed life and times of Elvis Presley. Nothing new really, but goes into more detail about his meeting with the Beatles. Also ranks his movies by how much money they brought in.
Just started giving Elvis a proper listen to, so wanted a book to give the music some context. This is a very quick run through of Elvis' life. The writing is ok, analysis basic, but it does give an Elvis newbie a lot of new info.
